what are your units registered as here? I am supposed to be using architectural units of measure but it ends up with totally different results when I want a 5 inch square for example
How about if you've drawn a line, it should be straight but accidentaly dropped it at an angle. Can you edit that line to be straight again, while remaining the same size?
Yes, you can. You can grab the end and pull it up, however it would probably be quicker to delete the line, start the line where you want it, type in the distance you want it to be, press tab to switch to degrees, and make is 0 (depending on your settings and should your snap settings not allow for that)
unable to draw the line of 7.500. no matter how many times i enter 7.500, it shoes where i pressed enter at and its not showing 7.500 when i measure it
Hmmm this is most likely an issue with the settings you have. Try going to your units and set it up in architectural units and see if that helps. It may be because it's in metric or decimal.
If you look in the bottom right hand corner of the program, you'll see, beside the word "model" a miniature grid image. Click that and it should turn on. Alternatively, you can press F7 and the grid should toggle. Hope this helps!
To get the ribbon to show up type "RIBBON" in the command bar to turn on the ribbon. If you want to see all the tools its possible the ribbons are in a minimized state. To fix this find the ribbons (such as "home", "solid", "surface", etc) and go all the way to the end of these words. At the end you'll see a solid square (should be white if you're in dark mode) with a triangle/arrow pointing up/down and a dropdown menu right beside it. Click the arrow in the solid coloured box and it should change how your ribbons appear. Let me know if this helps!

How to change the 3D modeling on Mac?
We currently do not offer any content on modeling on Mac, as AutoCAD is primarily used on windows machines!

Units we are using in this video are the defaults, so the type is "Decimal" in inches. If you're using a different unit type it will vary!
Are we using a scale when we're drawing in CAD?
For this video, we are not using a specific scale!
my acad2025 menus look different from yours...
autodesk is always messing up the menus ...
Are you using the Mac or Windows version of AutoCAD?
@@VerweyDraftingInc i am using Win10
