If you stand on the bridge at Glen Canyon Dam and look to the base of the dam, you will see accelerating seepage through the sandstone canyon wall. Crude patches and green moss are evident. It is visible in your aerial shots.
Yea. Cavitation is always a possibility when head pressure is reduced. I've seen this problem show up in everything from Submarines to the Space Shuttle.
Unless I missed it, you failed to mention as of today the water depth at the dam is 446 feet deep. The channel runs several hundred feet deep up stream for about 125 miles. Lots of water!
It means nothing, for now. That is quite a bit of water still. For comparison, Elephant Butte Lake, the "Lake Mead-of-the-Rio Grande" is only 7.8% full as of September 2024!! Talk about precarious!
there is alot of slurring and alot of stops but he probably is reading some of this from different sources and if its like me im not the best reader and do this alot to.
Hey, we finally found out you're not using an AI reader! 🎉

Does that all up and down the canyon. Especially after rains.

Lake Foul. I used to be a rafting guide down there long ago. RIP Edward Abbey.
