I love the leg lasso sweep, and have a lot of success with it, but every now and then I get stuck. I think you've elucidated some details that will get me past those blockers. Can't wait to try them out.
Love these videos. In your own words, they "Grab me, Mikhail!"
I love this type of jiu jitsu. amazing how everyones game is different yet somehow it's all still jiu jitsu. you have great technique and you teach it so well bro thank you.
Dude's a great teacher.
+xkidmidnightx THANKS!!! :)
Instructive and entertaining!
Thanks for sharing. The leg Lasso is a big part of my game and you show a few steps that I have been missing.
+tecdog15 Sweet! Happy to help! :)
Nice. I liked the "forced pass" aspect of your technique for when your opp. won't pass once you have the lasso in place.
+Jim Nations Great catch! Thats a SUPER important concept that I think alot of people don't get!
Love this tech!!
Great video!
Most entertaining instructional I've seen.
Thumbs up!
Thanks so much! If you liked that then you'll love my newer stuff! I hope you enjoy! 😊
@@AcesJiuJitsuClub for sure watching your new vids!
@@blue67strm Thanks again! That means a lot! Oss! 🙏🏾🥋
Good video. I was trying this for a while, but found that I was struggling too much for the sweep once my opponent passed to the side. After watching your video, I think that my problem was that I was trying to sweep to the wrong angle, so I'm going to work on it some more.
Good details!
LOL! Boom! I hope you find much success with the details I've outlined in this video! Keep us posted on your success!
thanks nice job on do's and dont.. i learn some details
+newlife Nice! Glad to help! :)
Great instruction!
Beautiful techniques brother.
Super useful. I do the lasso a lot, but get passed a lot as well (trying to throw the opponent), Did not realize he's supposed to pass :-)
Thank you! I hope it has worked a lot better for you since you saw this video!
@@AcesJiuJitsuClub thanks to your comment I rewatched this and still useful, noticed you grab the shin, nice
@@HenkvanMierlo Thanks Bro! 🙏🏾 That means a lot!🥋We just added a bunch more and scheduled more to drop weekly if you don’t mind sharing. We decided to really give as much as we can of free content to help the BJJ space as possible with our approach to BJJ!

+bishopofapples My pleasure Sir! Thanks for the love! :)
awesome instructions
Adding to my bag of tricks
Nice videos, sometimes bigger guys manage to get a crossface on me as they pass . I still have lasso but can't sweep them over? Any tips?
Use this all the time against speed passers. I think I was invited to train at your academy by one of your students who was working security at a show I played at SXSW a few years back. Next time I'm in ATX looking fwd to stopping by. OSS.
+Druture GREAT TRAP RIGHT?! Let me know next time you're in the ATX!!! :)
Yup, I'll drop you a line and would be honored to train with you and your students.
It would be our honor as well! :) What moves or techniques are you working on or would like shown in one of our next videos?
+Aces Jiu Jitsu Club been working a lot of Collar & Sleeve DLR as I'm primarily a Spider Guard/Lasso player.
Excellent...
Thanks! Many more leg lasso techs COMING SOON! Please let me know any questions about techniques, drills, warmups, weird situations in the BJJ lifestyle, etc and I'll do MY BEST to get a video out in response! :)
Hey this vid was sick! Could you teach how to set up the spider guard when both of you are standing? Or if you're in sitting guard and your opponent is standing trying to pass? I love the sweeps, but I have trouble setting up spider and lasso from these 2 scenarios
Thanks! Glad you appreciated the instruction! Please let me know any questions about techniques, drills, warmups, weird situations in the BJJ lifestyle, etc and I'll do MY BEST to get a video out in response! :)
Thanks Guys! Glad you liked the tech and instruction! What other tech, situations, drill, etc would you like to see?
Pay close attention to the part where I say, "lets rewind that for a moment". The counterpressure that I am using with my lasso against his bicep creates an invisible wall-at my hips-that he cant cross unless I let him. So next time use your pressure against his bicep to drag him down towards your hips as soon as is 90 degrees perpendicular-in his pass-to you and you should be fine. Let me know how that helped.
Song?
hey that's the dude from those annoying mike cheng videos.
+OutsiderHALL Who me?! ;)
Nice videos, sometimes bigger guys manage to get a crossface on me as they pass . I still have lasso but can't sweep them over? Any tips?
Yeah! That can be tough! There is a tech called the "log cutter" and I will add that to my list to video!
