Another great video Graeme! After a long week of teaching, your videos are the perfect way to begin the weekend. I think the Man Alone on a Boat sessions are my personal favourites. Thanks for all the hard work! Up the Awesome Army!!
For your expendable weights; try making a "Pipe"out of Aluminum Foil. Form the foil up on a 3/4" copper pipe and make a little pouch 5-6 layers of foil around the pipe. Fill with your alloy; might save you a quid or 3, boy.
I certainly remember Bill and Ben the Flowerpot Men and Little Weed! Thanks for the memory and great show as usual. Part of the pleasure is seeing the seaside and country side during the shows. I am a 70 year old Welsh expat living in New Jersey USA. Your channel, TA Outdoors and Dustin's Bushcraft Tools channels are my favorites to see scenes from home.
Hi . I would just like to say how you and your sons videos has changed me as a father myself. I never as a child got to spend any quality time with my dad , but after watching your videos with you and your sons bash craft videos it’s made me realise how much quality time is worth spending doing stuff with my boys is priceless
Oh yes! My favourite Totally Awesome fishing, out in the flyer. I've enjoyed watching you so much Graeme it's got me thinking about flogging the broads boat and getting a sea one. What stops me is I'd probably kill myself out there with no sea experience. Old dogs and new tricks. I'll probably just stay safe and watch the Totally Awesome excitement from my arm chair. Many thanks. Maybe you could do a set of training videos specifically for newbies to going offshore. But speak veeeery slooooowly please
Recently discovered this channel, half way through watching them, back in the day was/am a massive fan of Graeme Pullen, prolific author and probably the best fisherman in the world. Still got the books GP, still treasure them. Great to see you with your lad...spit of you when you were younger. Do more and do some garden ones (if you have time) you beat the hell out of some of these main stream TV presenters...because its real, informative and relaxing. Well done guys!
This channel s absolutely brilliant: I’ve been boat fishing since 2015, Best part is, my 2 girls (11 & 9) won’t come within a mile of the boat when it’s near a slip, but they are addicted to TA videos!!
Declan Daly - Our little girl was the same when she was young (7-8) until she saw some dolphins one time. Now she’s as keen as me and our little boy. 👍🏻😁🎣
Nice one, Graham! I hit the like button even before I watched it. Thanks for the always entertaining and educational content. I've never been shark fishing or Carp, for that matter, but I'd like to give it a go.
Completely new to sea fishing. Any chance of a vid or link to a vid showing the set ups, gear etc and what does what and why? Pretty please. Vids are sooo good. Many thanks for enjoyable things to watch.
@@TAFishing. Graeme I honestly think you and Mike have 2 of the best channels going on you tube, you've actually given me the bug to get fishing again, the last 3 mornings I've been at sandwich bay pumping lug, with these really low tides I've been doing 👌. Now just to feed some fish with them.
@@TAFishing Hey have you ever gone to the carp lake in chepstow called Mathern Mill Fishery, great place to fish , get decent carp and silvers, one for coarse and one for carp :)
Bill n Ben was the. First kiddy program I remember watching , along with Aluas Smith n Jones n High Chaparral for first night time program I remember lol .... I love this video , watched it about ten times
Awsome episode, this is probably the 4th or 5th episode that i watched of you. I fish at Catalina Island once a week on a full day sport fishing boat trip.
i find it so amazing watching you shark fish, its insane to me the size of the hook and using that whole mackerel. all i use is a 35g float off the pier hahah
I’m going to have to try more open water. My normal fishing spots are just outside Portsmouth or between the mainland and the IOW but you have open my eyes Graeme. This year I will be trying some shark fishing so a big thank you for all the advice.
Good luck with it ,and be prepared for either a total blank or the most exhilerating catch of your life ! Things all change when that reel starts going.
Bangersnsmash Uk - Absolutely. Fishing is fun. So have fun regardless of wether you catch or not. 👍🏻🎣 We in our house all love being out on the boat or on the beach.
We did have a P.O. Box but closed it as foreign companies were just wanting to jump on our publicity....it we do mention tackle it really is what we use.
That's understandable. It would be cool to have a competition though, like whoever's tackle proves mighty gets a TA hoodie or something. I guess without a P.O box it's not really possible
When I was a teenager I would use an onion sack to make a drop prawn net (I think onion sacks must have been tougher back then). I would get an old bread tray from the baker's van and cut a rectangle frame from it about 18 inches by 30 inches 1/4 inch steel rod and stitch the opened up onion sack to the frame with about a 8 inch drop in the middle. Then I would tie a 2oz bomb to the centre of the net and attach the four corners to a ring and 40 foot 1/4 inch line. I would also put some split old garden hose over the long sides to protect the net. The fishing method is to tie the end of the line to something on the ground and throw the net off the harbour wall. As the net is nearing the bottom some tension applied on the line will draw the net against the harbour wall. The net is then pulled up with steady tension scraping the harbour wall. The net and a bucket was very easy to carry so I could take it fishing off Penzance or Newlyn piers and catch bait. There would always be others fishing with worm/sand eel, but live prawn always caught the most fish.
Brilliant video Graham seeing your copper pipe weights reminded me of making wrecking jigs out of chromed gas pipe filled with lead flattened at the ends and hooks fitted sometimes we used car door handles drilled each end and split rings and hooks . Did you ever make them?

just in time for my fishing fix! Also never understand why people treat fresh water and saltwater fish differently. I think Carp stunning fish, but sometimes I think the guys fishing them, view them as if it was their own first born ;)
Catch and release in stocked ponds is an entirely different scenario to take home fishing in the endless blue expanse that forms the ocean, if you're going to kill a fish then how you catch/handle it is entirely inconsequential but if it's someone's livestock then you've got to follow handling rules. I will admit that some of the carp coddling is cringe worthy and often misguided with people thinking that their fancy cradle is saving the fish from harm when they've just kept it out of the water for 10 minutes while taking a million photos for social media.
@@chipnroll If your fishing commercially or for food it's no longer a sport , TJ is right can you imagine a trawler captain handling every fish like it's a human newborn.

Can you imagine telling a 6 year old today..." You can either use your playstation to destroy zombies and aliens ,or you can sit on nannie's knee and watch Bill and Ben the Flowerpot men before going to bye byes at 7 O'Clock "...... Today kids are up halfway through the night on their games and phones...and we wonder why there are problems in society?
