Pls watch the explanation video of blood sweat and tears too Pls react Bts b-side track too like Paradise, tomorrow, epiphany, love myself, magic shop, 2!3, nevermind, etc. Born singer, moonchild (RM), so far away, We On, Hip Hop lover, cypher series, etc lyrics video + live performance Pls react to Bts On commentary film dialogue
If you want to watch their video from beginning.. you can. If next one is already watched then you can watch live or dance practice video instead. Just saying. Anyway i like your reaction !💜
I'll admit, I wasn't a huge fan of Idol but I changed my mind after seeing it live. That song was written to be performed and there's nothing like a stadium full of people screaming "you can't stop me loving myself!"
Actually Namjoon's stage name used to be "Rap Monster" and it was abbreviated to "Rap Mon", but then he grew, got more mature and changed it to "Real Me" or RM, so RM actually stands for Real me. Also there is a well known phrase in the fandom and it's "BTS comes into your life when you need them", it happened to every army I know so don't feel bad about not knowing about them earlier or haven't paid attention to them when you first heard them.
That is so true! Like I was 19 when I got into them, months after I lost my mom to cancer. Funny thing, a friend from uni tried to get me into K-pop but it just wasn’t my thing🤷🏻♀️ maybe the groups/songs she showed me didn’t catch my attention😅😅. So whenever is your time is your time, so just enjoy and let the love consume you!💜💜💜
RM doesnt stand for "real me". He made a comment during an interview saying that's what changing his name means to him, and the fans ran with it. RM is short for Rap Monster or Rapmon, which he confirmed during the same interview! When he officially changed his name, he actually came out with a statement to the fans and media, and made it official he hasnt done that with "real me". He basically says that the name change can stand for anything and allows him to be himself and not labeled as just a rapper.. Listen to RM explain it in his own words. Here is a copy of the interview (at 12:45) and a second confirmation from another video of the group done after the video talking about the name change. ua-cam.com/video/FFrEsDAkwLQ/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/PczCrxMzeV8/v-deo.html
As you mention that you feel like you wish you'd gotten into BTS sooner, Yoongi (SUGA) once said: ""Don’t feel regretful that you weren’t there since our debut. The day when you first met us is the day we debuted." 💜 Also, for more of their backstory (and some snark about RM's mohawk...) I'd encourage you to watch Asian Theory's "The Most Beautiful Life Goes On" ua-cam.com/video/48Tc_Y2U0Tg/v-deo.html
Blood Sweat and Tears is based on the novel Demian by Herman Hesse. Each aspect of the novel is played by one of the members and the statue is of Abraxes, which is an equal representation of both good and evil together. The novel is basically about a young boy named Sinclair growing up and making mistakes, pondering about good and evil and finding out who he is. Jin plays out the last scene of the novel as old Sinclair when he kisses Abraxes. Suga plays the role of Pistorius, Jungkook is the young and innocent Sinclair, Namjoon is Alfons Beck and V is Demian. I think Jimin is another aspect of Sinclair as he’s confused and searching for answers and I’ve settled on Jhope playing aspects of Eva, the one who has settled on answers.
I will forever brag about how BTS debuted with this song! "No more dream" is one of the title track for their first album "2 cool for school". the song is BTS questioning teenagers out there 'what is truly your dream?', a real dream that they want to do, not the dreams that your parents want you to do, or the normal societal expectations for you to study and work in the normal profession like doctors, lawyers, teachers, engineer, scientist, etc. As much as its okay to have those dreams, but bts questions 'are you that is what you want?'. Bts emphasize teenagers out there to find dreams of their own, do what they like to do, they also judges the educational system and the adults/parents about instilling only certain dreams to kids. I respect bts a lot to came into the industry for the first time, being a group with no influential in the industry but bravely emphasizing soecietal issues, especially them being young teens/young adults in 2013. Not many kpop groups are brave enough to bring issues like this forward. mainstream kpop music are mostly known for being just about lovey dovey, more centred around songs that are just for fun. But bts debuted as kpop idols but bring hiphop music and really talks about shit that matters for their debut is just rare. 3 of their earlier albums talks about school.
When I first saw IDOL MV I was also very overwhelmed by everything, but now Idol is one of my favorite songs from them! Never fails to get me hyped and it's also probably my favorite song seeing them perform it live!
@@LexListens the MV is full of inside stories and cultural references that's why it's so crazy to watch... what i mean by inside stories is that, some parts are based on what haters are telling them to not do or whatever... example when RM uses filter cause someone said to him to not use it cause it doesn't suit him, or the big dancing balloon besides jhope cause some people said he dances like he have no bones or what V was wearing cause some people said he dresses like an old man, or the way Jimin looked a bit feminine holding a traditional fan that's specifically for women (he's gorgeous, haters be hating) cause, well, some people said he looks like a girl, or the Snow White on SUGA's shirt cause people said he's so white and pale, and so on... that's why they said "I do what I do so mind your own business You can't stop me loving myself"
Same for me. At first I didn’t like the song and hated the MV. Now it’s one of my favorite. There’s so much in the IDOL video. Did you notice Pinky and the Brain in the MV? They’re there.
Any song you’re not 100% on, you just need to see a live performance and the boys will sell it to you. Believe me. That was me with ma city, idol and Dionysus
No more dream music video is so funny to me nowadays lmao, just their style and the way they present themselves is SO different! Keep in mind Jungkook was 15 here and Jin was 20, so they were all very young. I hope you read lyric translations offscreen, since they’re actually very meaningful and inspiring! A very good place to go is “doolsetbangtan” which is fan-made and has accurate translations with added explanations for literally every BTS song. RM used to be Rap Monster/Rapmon, but he grew out of it (he doesn’t like calling himself a monster, he’s a human being) and in 2017 officially changed his stage name to RM, which doesn’t stand for anything and is only RM (he was asked in an interview at the time what it stands for and said “maybe Real Me or something, I don’t know” but it was one of many suggestions and I don’t think he was serious about that). Nowadays only Jungkook is allowed to call him Rapmon sometimes haha (he said he’d call him Rapmon until they were 70 😂) but in general he’s just RM or Namjoon/Joon. Idol is the final part of the Love Yourself series: it goes in order of DNA (we find a love we think is destiny) -> Fake Love (the love falls apart because we changed ourselves to please that person) -> Idol (a celebration of self-love). If you want to go into some solo songs, it could be cool to watch live performances with subs of these songs in order: Euphoria (Jk solo), Just dance (Jhope solo), Serendipity (Jimin solo), Trivia: Love (RM solo), Singularity (V solo), Seesaw (Suga solo) and Epiphany (Jin solo). Those songs tell the same story and go alongside DNA, Fake Love and Idol. Singularity also has a full music video, and Serendipity and Epiphany each have shortened versions of the song for music videos too. There’s way too much to say about Blood sweat and tears so I’ll leave that to explanation videos! Glad you’re diving into theories and making your own connections between songs, it’s really cool to see! Sorry for the essay! I’m enjoying watching these along with you, thanks for taking the time to make these! 💜
I have a question for “older” ARMY - Is the age they give Korean age or international age? Was Jungkook 15 or actually 14 international age when they debuted?
@@NanciBK JK was born on 1. september 1997, so he was 15 years old in international age on 13 june 2013 (he would turn 16 that september). At debut, he was 17 years old in Korean age. He was 13 in international age but 15 in korean age when he joined the company as a trainee in April 2011. I only use international age when I write comments because it’s less confusing, and also Korea is getting rid of their age system this year to adapt to the rest of the world, so it’ll be clear for everyone.
Hey lex take your time in knowing them . You are still in process of knowing them . Just take your time . We will help you lot in knowing them . Just don't pay attention to the people who disagree with you . Ultimately, we all have been in the same place in which you are in right now . Loved your reaction and let's explore them together.
The Blood, Sweat and Tears video ties into the BU (Bangtan Universe) so there’s a lot of stuff going on that ties into it. They also used themes from the book Demian by Hermann Hesse…it’s mainly about temptation and loss of innocence! The BU is a rabbit hole in itself 😂. Idol is a song with lots of cultural symbolism so if you’d like you can watch an explication video on it, a good one is by DKDKTV (Idol explained by a Korean). 💜
I actually love their first video. To me you can already tell how talented they are, both musically and with dance. And Jimin's voice, his ability to "scream" like a rocker is so impressive. Also, I think I am the only one who really loves how much RM has experimented with his hair. Even earlier he had dreadlocks which to me appeared to be less cultural appropriation and more an immersion into a lifestyle he admired. RMs hair has evolved with him over time, which is so cool to watch.
I'm a mother who recently discovered BTS too, and I feel like I'm sharing my experiences with you. Isn't it fun?! My daughter and I have dance parties to their music clips on rainy days xD Please make a reaction vid to their Tiny Desk concert. You'll love it 😊 Love from Australia!
yes, I would highly recommend the Tiny Desk concert too. you'll see them vibing together, hear their skills in an acoustic setting and get to know Spring Day and Save Me, two iconic songs in my opinion.
theyre old music is not all this hardcore, im telling you theyre old discography is one of the bests, id recommend you listen to 'i like it' 'coffee' 'we on' (my fav song ever) 'embarrased' 'just one day' '24/7 heaven'
If you want to appreciate the incredible dance that goes with Blood, Sweat and Tears, you should watch the dance practice video for this song. It is one of their best choreographies. I would love to see you react to some of the dance practices.
I am absolutely loving your reactions! I discovered BTS in June 2021 and have been Army ever since. I have always said how much I wish I found them sooner but I found the quote "BTS finds you when you most needed them". Jimin is my Bias. He is just such a beautiful soul. You should find a clip of him falling off chairs as its hilarious XD. I would suggest watching Airplane Part 2 MV and also Film out. Two VERY different songs but just beautiful. 21st Century Girl is also an amazing one. If you are falling for Jimin... You should see his solos - Lie, Serendipity and Filter (I think I should put a content advisory warning with Filter though!)
Hey Lexi! I'm loving your BTS videos, it makes me so jealous of you that you're discovering BTS. Those early days of discovering BTS is so exciting! I also felt that regret of not having discovered them sooner - I wish I'd been around to experience everything in real time! There's a lot of great theory content, especially for the HYYH / Wings era which had a fictional narrative that ran through all of the music videos. There's a video out there that has all of them in order, and then another video that explains the theory.
Please react to their solo performances as well when you have the chance. Jimin’s Lie and Serendipity, Jin’s Moon and Epiphany, Jungkook’s My Time and Begin, J-Hope’s Chicken Noodle Soup and Airplane pt.1, V’s Christmas Tree and Singularity, Suga’s First Love and Seasaw, RM’s Bicycle and Reflection. They all have more of course.
Blood Sweat And Tears is the song that got them their first Artist Of The Year. They got so much hate and death threats from exols after that. Exols became so angry and jealous of BTS. Jimin faced the most death threats. Well , now they sweep award shows.
I do love your reactions💕 my favourites are also Jin and Jimin, that’s fate. Please, react to blood, sweat and tears - Japanese version, it’s mind blowing!
Blood sweat and tears is perhaps my favourite BTS song of all time, followed very closely by We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal, Jungkooks Euphoria and V & Jimins Friends, loved the video!
It's so fun watching you react to all of this new stuff. I can tell that you're being very honest with your reactions, and I like that you show the frantic googling that's required when getting into such a huge lexicon of work. I can't wait to see you react to more live performances! The MMA 2019 performance is the most legendary, but it is also very long. Also, RM agrees with you about the origins of his name, which he decided on when he was like 16-17 years old. He was once asked what he'd go back in time and tell his younger self. His response was, "pick a better name."
Every time I watch new reactors reacting to BTS, it feels like I also started watching it with them just now ... Because of the way I react to the content. I had watched blood, sweat and tear like zillions of times but still it feels so new to me, and I fall in love with them all over again 💜💜💜
Some of their early music videos (specifically these four; No More Dream, We Are Bulletproof Pt 2, N.O, Dope) released on HYBE's channel don't have official English subs, but their early videos are also posted on 1theK and they have subs, so I suggest checking 1theK for those 4 vids. But I basically suggest watching videos on HYBE's channel other than these 4 videos, because you can enjoy the complete video to the end without having your view obstructed by video recommendation cards. And also HYBE is the company BTS directly belong to, so you can support them by watching HYBE's channel.
Hobi’s the definition of happiness and joy! His existence brings people good feelings and that’s why we call him Sunshine 😊💜 He’s our sunshine! Once you get to know him more, you’re gonna love him even more because it’s just impossible not to love him 💜
You have to be one of the most honest reactors I have seen. Does anyone else get so much joy out of watching baby ARMY be born? I also can't help but laugh when they all do the same things. (Try to keep track by hair colors, fall into the Jimin Effect, etc)
They originally debuted as a hip hop group, but as they got older and gained more viewers they expanded their music genres. When they released their album The Most Beautiful Moments in Life, Part 1, when I Need U came out, that was their breakthrough in the industry and when they revamped their music. It landed them their first big win on an award show. IDOL is basically backlash to all the criticism and hate they receive. They say that they are going to be themselves despite all the criticism they receive. Blood Sweat & Tears is based on a novel, it is definitely a lot to take in on the first watch, but definitely worth deep diving into.. Also, if Blood Sweat & Tears had you shook, you are definitely not ready for Baepsae (there is no music video but there is a dance practice and lives) and Jimin's Filter (No music video but their is a few live videos). Anyway, I enjoy your videos! Thank you for keeping it very entertaining.
I felt the same way the first time I saw Idol. I had no idea what was going on. The explanation behind it all helped immensely and made me like it so much more.
“Blood, sweat & tears” is based on Hermann Hesse's novel "Demian", which talks about the passage from child to teenager and broadening his vision of the world.
Even in BTS' early days, you can see & hear the spark of absolute genius in their performance. Over time, they've matured & fine-tuned their style; but, basically, they already had everything in place for success from their debut. By the way, you should search for the video of JK, teasing RM, saying "Rrrapp Mmonnsterrr!!", after inhaling helium... hilarious!!
There is a whole BTS universe involving a story line that shows up in a lot of their videos. I haven't gone down that rabbit hole because you could spend hours analyzing all of that.
BTS has come a long way since No More Dream. They have matured and grown in confidence and their music has changed with them. RM had grown out of the name Rap Monster and says RM now stands for Real Me. But he really just goes by RM. But even with all that growth, I still really love No More Dream. And FYI, they still do a lot of rap (check out Ugh!, Persona, Shadow and Ego which were all put out in 2020). Anyways, I love No More Dream and it especially makes sense when you know more about Korean culture and the expectations put in the youth with school, etc. It also really I think is a universal theme for youth, being born into a world that is already messed up and trying to live up to everyone’s expectations. But BTS is saying to not care about that and make your own dream and own choices. Anyways. Hope that helped. And the IDOL MV is initially a sensory overload, but watching a explanatory video helps. Also, it is just killer live. Watch the MMA performance of IDOL!
For their older stuff, it's still very much worth it to look up lyrics. No More Dream, for instance, criticizes the Korean education system which discourages kids having dreams that are not strictly related to academic achievement.
I'm a Brazilian ARMY and I'm super happy with your reactions. Welcome to the ARMY family!! It's impossible not to love each one of them... their music, their art, their personalities and the love they have for their fans. You need to see them live, concerts... just perfect.
Above the mirror is German text: "You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star".. - quote from German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche, Blood Sweat and Tears is based on a book called Demian by Herman Hesse. :) It's about the coming of age of youth into the world of temptation.
RECOMMENDATIONS: The dance practices of IDOL, Mic Drop, Blood, Sweat and Tears are my favorites! MV's: Dope, Airplane part 2, ON kinetic manifesto, Save me, Not today. Also live performances you can check: MMA 2019, MMA 2018, MMA 2020.
I'm waiting for the time that you can notice each one of them all. They are always doing something behind the scenes when you focus on one or two member. I mean we've all been there before, we all started there. 😂 Hope to see more of your reactions to their other music like their b-sides with no music videos. If you want to watch more funny moments, i think you will like a whole episode of RUN BTS than compilations that has no explanations.
Love this 💜 yes we always want you to be honest 👍as you have been. They did a studio live version of No More Dream in 2019- called BTS Armypedia. Also 2 other early songs “Just One Day” and “I Like It” they looked soooo cool there ☺️💜
IDOL is big on imagery for a reason. They've been criticized for their clothes, hair colors, their larger than life idol personas etc... It's a clap back to critics, we can do whatever we want oh u dont like lets make it bigger, brighter, more colorful, sensory overload then....Haha
I discovered bts on the debut of corona and I think it was the fitting time for me to discover them and since then it was sooo magical to be a army and I’m just proud🥰🥰🥰for funny and emotional recommendation please react to “ don’t let bts go on a tour “ purple youuuu💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
You should react to Spring day Magic shop And Blue and grey Their very sentimental songs and have deep meaning and it will show the great bond between army and BTS and how they love helping us and expressing the feelings to us
I love watching your reactions and seeing how much you love them, pace yourself, there is a lot, I still consider myself baby army even thought I’ve been watching, listening and loving them for just over a year, huge Jimin biase but love all the guys 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Because of these things I became OT7, they come and make eyes at you, then they are so cute, their personalities are so great, each one has their abilities. My heart demands me to love at 7
idol is one of that songs that maybe at first you don’t like it because it has a rhythm which we arent used to but if you keep listen to it, it will pass to be one of your favs for sure
To dive deep in the concept of this MV..You look for its explanation video..as well as Idol and spring day..this songs have a corresponding explanation video
I found you yesterday and been binge-watching your BTS videos since then. It's so entertaining to watch you fall for them. When you said "I just want to know their names", believe me, all ARMY knew you were done for. :) There's so much content, so take your time! If you're feeling up to it, checking out one album after the other as they always put lots of thought into them. Also, there's an introduction series to BTS with multiple parts highlighting their journey in chronological order that might also be interesting to you. :) But first and foremost: Have fun with it. That's the most important thing. :)
Their earlier stuff DOES have hip hop influence, they were supposed to be an idol group which functioned like a hip hop crew, meaning they wrote their own lyrics, rapped a lot, and had intros, skits and outros in their albums. You could probably look up the translated lyrics of No More Dream, its rly deep and about how South Korean (or Asian in general) students are pressured to just go to school and get a well paying job like a Civil Officer, instead of following their dreams - a situation that a few members of BTS themselves experienced when becoming idols. Idol is about self confidence, but there's a deeper meaning to it, i guess you watched the explanation so you know it already. The MV is also just a big middle finger to their haters/judgemental "fans", who said V shouldn't be wearing those glasses (he has it on most of the MV), RM shouldn't use cute filters (the part when u called him cute), Jin can't dance (Jin is the center for some of the dance parts), BTS are just manufactured idols, not real artists or are too Korean (the "can call me artist, can call me idol" line, the use of traditional Korean elements like clothing and slang, and a bright colorful noisy MV). And Blood Sweat & Tears is about a book, I actually don't know too much about the MV neither do I know to explain it very well, but i guess there must be 20 comments or so about it already. The reason Jin kissed the statue is because he was giving into the evil, all the members slowly did as you see through the course of the video, and Jin represents the main character (despite not getting many lines in the song itself, he did get a lot of screen time). And it's not connected to Black Swan haha. Also, yes Rap Monster sounds horrible to RM now too, which is why he shortened his name in 2017. Also he regrets the hair. RM had a highly cringe past which he's not proud of but hes changed/matured. Also expecting more reactions 😩💅🏼
It touches on Greek mythology. Dyonisys and Icarus- who flew into the sun and died. Sometimes the stories to their videos are tied together. Their albums all have themes. Map of the Soul I think is the album that song was on
Thank you for keeping it real. It's ok, I felt like this sometimes too when the song is not my favorite but then it would grow on me. There is no skip song or bad songs in BTS discography but its normal we will like some songs more than others. Mostly I would be obsessed with some songs and then listen to others. There is always something to re discover with BTS
I prefer watching Idol live, the 2018 MMA special Stage it’s just fantastic. ua-cam.com/video/ayGl-igrwy8/v-deo.html JHope, JK and Jimin have special intro dances based on tradicional Korean dances and their clothes are also inspired in tradicional Korean clothes. It’s amazing. Also, not even a College Professor could fully understand Blood Sweat and Tears from the start, so don’t fell bad. You’ll need both a Psychology and a Art History book to start 😆
So enjoying your journey down the BTS rabbit hole. It's been just about 2 years for me (ON was my first MV) and your reactions are similar to mine. I'm still Jimin biases with V right behind. I did find my respect and love for all the members just continues to grow (not just for my biases). They are so supportive of each other as well. DKDK has several explanation videos that are informative. I recommend you watch h the one on IDOL. You understand it so much more. BTS puts so much thought into everything they do. Every one is overwhelmed in the beginning.
If you can believe it, "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" was the very first BTS music video my daughter shared with me (immediately followed by "Not Today"). I was completely blown away. I know all to well that feeling of regret for not finding them sooner but according to them, the moment you find them is their Debut 💜 If you ever decide to go back and watch the videos in order, Landon Mark has an entire "roadmap" detailing every piece of content you can imagine. xCeleste is my go-to for theory and explanation videos (especially about the Bangtan Universe) and DKDKTV for cultural nuances. Bookish Theories is always eye opening with their interpretations as well. Oh, and I can't forget Doolset Lyrics for the excellent translations. Their hard work has helped millions of us better understand the beautiful messages our precious Bangtannies are sending us 🥰 Happy to be joining in your journey. Borahae 💜
Love you’re reactions!! I am a relatively new army myself I’ve only gotten into BTS about four months ago and I’m the same I wish I had discovered them sooner but people say they come around when you need them and I definitely needed them at the time I discovered them so I’m just happy to be part of the army now💜 If you really want to get wrecked by Jimin watch his live solo “Filter” performance and BTS “On - Kinetic Manifesto”… I hope you survive lol
I'm 49, and idol is what introduced me to BTS. I felt the same as you at 1st. Sensory overload for sure it's a lot to take in. My husband showed it to me when it was on his trending page about a year or so after it came out. I was like nope. But it kept coming up once I watched it and I kept watching... And more then got recommended, & I then proceeded to obsess and get all my kids into them as well lol. I think I like your reactions because you remind me of my journey and I can relate 💜
The rabbit in the moon, means rebirth ( folklore mid autumn is a festival for the moon goddess and her faithful companion moon rabbit) the Korean lions ward off evil. Also the guys when they dance in the temple there are wearing update hanbok tradition Korean clothes can be traced back to the Three Kingdom of Korea period 1st century BC to 7th century AD. We now wear them only for special occasions
at 30:01 the Thing on the Wall is actually a quote by a German Philosopher called Friedrich Nietzsche. Translated it means You have to have Chaos within yourself, to give birth to a dancing Star
Omg im getting really nervous waiting for your reaction to blood Sweat Tears since you love jimin that much lol and as expected you love it. Maybe you should check their reaction to Blood Sweat Tears mv, bts have some videos of their reaction to themselves and its so funny the way they scream "JIMINNNN" a lot lol
I’m a Dynamite Army (August 2020) and in the beginning I also felt regret I hadn’t experienced BTS earlier days in real time. Things like that iconic Dimple & Pied Piper performance you watched recently. But then in June 2021, I witnessed the OT7 Daechwita and that was a level up experience. So, your turn will come baby Army. There’s a new album coming, a concert in March which you/we should be able to watch online and you will get to say that you were there for that. It’s the great thing about BTS, they never disappoint so you have much to look forward to. Borahae 💜
Blood, sweat and tears has a lot of meanings and references. The most prominent are really strong references to "Demian", a book by Hermann Hesse which tells a story about what good and evil mean, and how it's found in people and so many other things. I'd really recommend watching some explanation videos - it's incredibly interesting! :)
Ah the beautiful confusion after watching blood sweat & tears for the first time, that does bring back memories ahahah, glad you are reacting truthfully, don’t worry if you don't like every song, it's music you can like and dislike a song
Hi guys!! I watched the Idol explanation video from DKDKTV which was so helpful at explaining the music video!!
Pls watch the explanation video of blood sweat and tears too
Pls react Bts b-side track too like Paradise, tomorrow, epiphany, love myself, magic shop, 2!3, nevermind, etc.
Born singer, moonchild (RM), so far away, We On, Hip Hop lover, cypher series, etc lyrics video + live performance
Pls react to Bts On commentary film dialogue
btw if you want to understand "blood, sweat&tears" mv, I recommend watching this:
ua-cam.com/video/5tlgAUE6yjg/v-deo.html
Do we get to see you react to the explanation?
If you want to watch their video from beginning.. you can. If next one is already watched then you can watch live or dance practice video instead. Just saying. Anyway i like your reaction !💜
Rm said please focus on its lyrics.
Suga said listen to their music without prejudice.
I'll admit, I wasn't a huge fan of Idol but I changed my mind after seeing it live. That song was written to be performed and there's nothing like a stadium full of people screaming "you can't stop me loving myself!"
Agreed!!! The choreography is great and in concert it’s just 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You are so right!
This 💜👌
I’d love to see it live!!
I agree I saw it live in the cinema for PTD and idol was crazy performed live everyone was screaming at the top of their lungs
That is true 😭 they came into to my life when I needed them the most and I am very thankful 💜💜
So whenever is your time is your time, so just enjoy and let the love consume you!💜💜💜
@@rominasoledadcarrascourrut1672 I'm so sorry to hear about you mom, but I'm glad to know that the boys were there for you when you needed them💜
RM doesnt stand for "real me". Here is a copy of the interview (at 12:45) and a second confirmation from another video of the group done after the video talking about the name change.
ua-cam.com/video/FFrEsDAkwLQ/v-deo.html
ua-cam.com/video/PczCrxMzeV8/v-deo.html
Ditto
As you mention that you feel like you wish you'd gotten into BTS sooner, Yoongi (SUGA) once said: ""Don’t feel regretful that you weren’t there since our debut. The day when you first met us is the day we debuted." 💜
Also, for more of their backstory (and some snark about RM's mohawk...) I'd encourage you to watch Asian Theory's "The Most Beautiful Life Goes On" ua-cam.com/video/48Tc_Y2U0Tg/v-deo.html
I prefer 'The Rise of Bangtan' series. It is chronological and explains many things in the k-pop world if you are new to that.
I love this!! Thank you for this explanation!
J-Hope is the sunshine of the group. His presence bring life to us all. His smile alone makes everyday brighter no matter how sh!!y your day is.
True and a heads up, to see jhope cry is the most heartbreaking thing to watch.
"Jin You're Cracking" I love how invested you are already!!! You are truly in the Rabbit Hole!!!!
😂😂🤪🤪
You’re going to love ON Kinetic Manifesto Film!
You are such a delight to watch! Best new reactor I’ve seen in a long time :)
Thank you so much🥺💜
I agree with you! Wishing @Lexlistens all power and strength to survive deadly Bangtan content later on. 💜
Great comment 100% agree 💜
We love it when new Army joins and dies along with us 💜😹
@@daisybrisco5221 yeah 😄
When I first saw IDOL MV I was also very overwhelmed by everything, but now Idol is one of my favorite songs from them! Never fails to get me hyped and it's also probably my favorite song seeing them perform it live!
It’s definitely been a grower for me!! At first it was overwhelming - especially with the MV, but now I think it’s super catchy and I really like it!!
@@LexListens for sure! you should check it out when they perform it live, even if it's not a reaction 😊
@@LexListens the MV is full of inside stories and cultural references that's why it's so crazy to watch...
what i mean by inside stories is that, some parts are based on what haters are telling them to not do or whatever... example when RM uses filter cause someone said to him to not use it cause it doesn't suit him, or the big dancing balloon besides jhope cause some people said he dances like he have no bones or what V was wearing cause some people said he dresses like an old man, or the way Jimin looked a bit feminine holding a traditional fan that's specifically for women (he's gorgeous, haters be hating) cause, well, some people said he looks like a girl, or the Snow White on SUGA's shirt cause people said he's so white and pale, and so on...
that's why they said
"I do what I do so mind your own business
You can't stop me loving myself"
Same for me. At first I didn’t like the song and hated the MV. Now it’s one of my favorite.
There’s so much in the IDOL video. Did you notice Pinky and the Brain in the MV? They’re there.
Any song you’re not 100% on, you just need to see a live performance and the boys will sell it to you. Believe me. That was me with ma city, idol and Dionysus
This is so very true. Them live performances are 🔥🔥🔥
So true! I was meh about Dionysus and So What until seeing live performances totally changed my mind. Now I’m obsessed with Dionysus 😂
I felt the same way about Dionysus too but now it's also one of my favorites
If you want to go into some solo songs, it could be cool to watch live performances with subs of these songs in order:
Euphoria (Jk solo), Just dance (Jhope solo), Serendipity (Jimin solo), Trivia: Love (RM solo), Singularity (V solo), Seesaw (Suga solo) and Epiphany (Jin solo).
Yes, it would be so great if you watch some solo songs!!
I have a question for “older” ARMY -
Is the age they give Korean age or international age? Was Jungkook 15 or actually 14 international age when they debuted?
@@NanciBK JK was born on 1. september 1997, so he was 15 years old in international age on 13 june 2013 (he would turn 16 that september). At debut, he was 17 years old in Korean age.
He was 13 in international age but 15 in korean age when he joined the company as a trainee in April 2011.
I only use international age when I write comments because it’s less confusing, and also Korea is getting rid of their age system this year to adapt to the rest of the world, so it’ll be clear for everyone.
Thanks
💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Hey lex take your time in knowing them . You are still in process of knowing them . Just take your time . We will help you lot in knowing them . Just don't pay attention to the people who disagree with you . Ultimately, we all have been in the same place in which you are in right now . Loved your reaction and let's explore them together.
Blood sweat and tears is what got me into bts and when jimin snatched my soul 😌
"Is it related??" + that look of absolute confusion: yes, this is what life as an ARMY who follows their storyline is like 😂
😂🤪
Its gonna be so funny when she finds baepseeeyyyy *insert thurstings*
Oh and not to forget, Jin's "epiphany" is a masterpiece
The Blood, Sweat and Tears video ties into the BU (Bangtan Universe) so there’s a lot of stuff going on that ties into it. They also used themes from the book Demian by Hermann Hesse…it’s mainly about temptation and loss of innocence! The BU is a rabbit hole in itself 😂. Idol is a song with lots of cultural symbolism so if you’d like you can watch an explication video on it, a good one is by DKDKTV (Idol explained by a Korean). 💜
Haha Army said: when you Jim-in, you can't Jim-out 💜💜💜
I actually love their first video.
I am mom too!)))
theyre old music is not all this hardcore, im telling you theyre old discography is one of the bests, id recommend you listen to 'i like it' 'coffee' 'we on' (my fav song ever) 'embarrased' 'just one day' '24/7 heaven'
That’s good to know!!
You have a taste girl coffe and i like it is easily one of my fav bts songs
If you want to appreciate the incredible dance that goes with Blood, Sweat and Tears, you should watch the dance practice video for this song. It is one of their best choreographies. I would love to see you react to some of the dance practices.
Yes!! There are some moves that will literally take your breath away!
Yes yes yes on Airplane pt. 2 and Film Out!!!
as soon as blood sweat tears started i was internally screaming : GIRL U AIN'T READY FOR THISSSSS.........NO YOU ARE NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
it's like every army's dream to have known bts earlier 😭😭 but we always say we only find bts when we need them 😉
BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS is my favorite song by BTS even though is in Korean language! This MV is the PERFECTION!
Blood, Sweat and Tears won't murder you, but Filter will!
Jimin should be illegal! 🥵🙈🔥

I really love when Jungkook is rapping
me sipping tea while watching you get stressed out in Blood sweat & tears MV reaction🤡😂
30:18 "Jin...you're cracking" Idk why that was so funny 😂
Watch their live!! The live performance will make the song much better even the song is not your cup of tea! 😊💜
#jimin #JIMIN #parkjimin #jiminie #bts#bangtan jimin's voice 💜💜
Every time I watch new reactors reacting to BTS, it feels like I also started watching it with them just now ... Because of the way I react to the content. I had watched blood, sweat and tear like zillions of times but still it feels so new to me, and I fall in love with them all over again 💜💜💜
her reaction to the start of Blood and Tears, the pause and the gasp: exactly like me the first time
"It's hard to tell from the back" lolol! Girl, in a month you will tell who is who from their silhouettes, from the back.
His existence brings people good feelings and that’s why we call him Sunshine 😊💜
He’s our sunshine!
🤪 the hair colors was the biggest mistake - please tell me why i thought that was going to work hahaha
YOU GOTTA REACT TO BTS TINY DESK CONCERT TO HEAR ALL THEIR VOCALS CLEAR AND LIVE
By the way, you should search for the video of JK, teasing RM, saying "Rrrapp Mmonnsterrr!!", after inhaling helium... hilarious!!
Rm actually grew out from his name 'Rap Monster' now he became mature so he kept 'Real Me' for rm so now rm stands for 'Real Me' it's official.
There is a whole BTS universe involving a story line that shows up in a lot of their videos. I haven't gone down that rabbit hole because you could spend hours analyzing all of that.
#jimin #JIMIN #parkjimin #jiminie #bts #bangtan #army#armyforever
RECOMMENDATIONS:
The dance practices of IDOL, Mic Drop, Blood, Sweat and Tears are my favorites!
Hope to see more of your reactions to their other music like their b-sides with no music videos.
If you want to watch more funny moments, i think you will like a whole episode of RUN BTS than compilations that has no explanations.
You have to watch Jimin's solo 'Filter'. Your reaction would be PRICELESS.
Watch Dope and On Kinetic Manifesto next please. You have come so far in just a couple of weeks!
Love this 💜 yes we always want you to be honest 👍as you have been.
They did a studio live version of No More Dream in 2019- called BTS Armypedia. Also 2 other early songs “Just One Day” and “I Like It” they looked soooo cool there ☺️💜
Love your reaction you know that v won the no 1 most handsome man in the world from 2017 to 2021
IDOL is big on imagery for a reason.
You should react to
Spring day
Magic shop
And
Blue and grey
Their very sentimental songs and have deep meaning and it will show the great bond between army and BTS and how they love helping us and expressing the feelings to us
Also, my favorite song of all time is Blood Sweat and Tear. I just LOVE it!!!!
“Save me” & “I’m fine” live performance..”magic Shop” live please💜💜
Map of the Soul I think is the album that song was on
❤️❤️ your BTS reactions..!!! their song “save me” got me into the 🐇 👌🏼
Thank you for keeping it real. It's ok, I felt like this sometimes too when the song is not my favorite but then it would grow on me. There is no skip song or bad songs in BTS discography but its normal we will like some songs more than others. Mostly I would be obsessed with some songs and then listen to others. There is always something to re discover with BTS
the funny thing is that this was the reaction of army when the mv first dropped, everyone was so confused and theories were flying everywhere
Temptation, loss on innocence, that is the theme and the concept behind this video.
I love your reactions, but I am worried about your health when you watch Filter live. But I also can't wait.
🤪😂
I prefer watching Idol live, the 2018 MMA special Stage it’s just fantastic. ua-cam.com/video/ayGl-igrwy8/v-deo.html
JHope, JK and Jimin have special intro dances based on tradicional Korean dances and their clothes are also inspired in tradicional Korean clothes. It’s amazing.
Also, not even a College Professor could fully understand Blood Sweat and Tears from the start, so don’t fell bad. You’ll need both a Psychology and a Art History book to start 😆
There is a saying: Once you Jim-IN, you cannot Jim-OUT 😂
Enjoy the journey 💜
So enjoying your journey down the BTS rabbit hole. It's been just about 2 years for me (ON was my first MV) and your reactions are similar to mine. I'm still Jimin biases with V right behind. I did find my respect and love for all the members just continues to grow (not just for my biases). They are so supportive of each other as well. DKDK has several explanation videos that are informative. I recommend you watch h the one on IDOL. You understand it so much more. BTS puts so much thought into everything they do. Every one is overwhelmed in the beginning.
You should react to their live performance of "Your Eyes Tell" if you want to see a change of pace and in Japanese.
So. Gorgeous.
If you can believe it, "Blood, Sweat, and Tears" was the very first BTS music video my daughter shared with me (immediately followed by "Not Today"). I was completely blown away. I know all to well that feeling of regret for not finding them sooner but according to them, the moment you find them is their Debut 💜
If you ever decide to go back and watch the videos in order, Landon Mark has an entire "roadmap" detailing every piece of content you can imagine. xCeleste is my go-to for theory and explanation videos (especially about the Bangtan Universe) and DKDKTV for cultural nuances. Bookish Theories is always eye opening with their interpretations as well. Oh, and I can't forget Doolset Lyrics for the excellent translations. Their hard work has helped millions of us better understand the beautiful messages our precious Bangtannies are sending us 🥰
Happy to be joining in your journey. Borahae 💜
Love you’re reactions!! I am a relatively new army myself I’ve only gotten into BTS about four months ago and I’m the same I wish I had discovered them sooner but people say they come around when you need them and I definitely needed them at the time I discovered them so I’m just happy to be part of the army now💜
If you really want to get wrecked by Jimin watch his live solo “Filter” performance and BTS “On - Kinetic Manifesto”… I hope you survive lol
ON was when I fell in love with them, especially Jimin! I was hoping someone would tell her to get to ON!!!!
@@sapphysinfora1987
She did the dance practice but I don’t think she’s done the actual video
@@carograh Yeah I see that! I'll just be glad when she does the Kinetic Manifesto Film! I never get tired of that video!
@@sapphysinfora1987 omg it’s so good I agree!
Blood Sweat and Tears MV is part of the Bangtan Universe
The rabbit in the moon, means rebirth ( folklore mid autumn is a festival for the moon goddess and her faithful companion moon rabbit) the Korean lions ward off evil. Also the guys when they dance in the temple there are wearing update hanbok tradition Korean clothes can be traced back to the Three Kingdom of Korea period 1st century BC to 7th century AD. We now wear them only for special occasions
"That's how they get you!" NO TRUER WORDS HAVE EVER BEEN SPOKEN 😂😂😂
Please react to "bts being extra in america af" and "bts being a mess on vlive" ITS SOO FUNNY and you can see their personalites, love from brazil♡
at 30:01 the Thing on the Wall is actually a quote by a German Philosopher called Friedrich Nietzsche. Translated it means You have to have Chaos within yourself, to give birth to a dancing Star
Jimin can pull off any color but black haired Jimin is DEADLY! 🖤🔥🖤🔥
That was the FUNNIEST Blood Sweat and Tears reaction I have seen in a looooong time lmao
😂🤪
Wait no tell me why I couldn't vibe with Idol for the LONGEST time. But 25 minutes of driving to work 5 days a week and the song became a BANGER HAHA
Miss ma'am, you haven't seen none yet til you've seen BAEPSAE live. 🤚😌
