- The federal government has announced eight universities from Togo and Benin Republic that their degrees will be accepted in Nigeria. The announcement was made by the Minister of Education, Tahir Mamman, on Sunday. The Minister also insisted that there is no going back on the decision of the federal government to cancel about 22,700 certificates awarded to Nigerians by some “fake” universities in neighboring Togo and Benin Republic.

This country is a problem shame everyone in the world is crying about them
The lady with a scarf on is spot on.
From findings, it takes about 3 months and at least 1.6 million naira to get a MSc in NAU and many others in Republic of Benin. *(Its actually a backyard arrangement)
Nigeria emphasizes more on certificates than competence, this makes people look every direction wrongly.
Pegging Yemi Solade's tweet on the screen was totally needless as he clearly doesn't understand the system. Those doctorate degrees he talked about are honorary degrees not academic.(They could be bought though).
Lastly, ur topics should be given to the reviewers earlier, so they dont come on set displaying ignorance.
Thank u.
Before you go to an international university, you have to go to the ministry of education and check the list of international universities that are acceptable in Nigeria.
Nimah, you're making sense....most universities in Togo is somehow.
One thing I know is NUC is thorough in her job
But how are they going for NYSC, i think there is a site on the NYSC portal for accreditation, i know people that attend school in benin republic and they served
You are making a terrible mistake in your assumptions. If the universities are not accredited, how come the federal ministry of education were issuing evaluation letter to students from these universities stating they are accredited and recognised. Houdegbe university has been in existence since 1992. They have produced thousands of student and most of their lecturers are from Unilag,Lasu and Calavi that is best university in Benin Republic
Education is not taken seriously in Nigeria. The problem is with the government. They have no plan, no program, no interest in education. They would rather send their kids and relatives overseas to study instead of fixing our educational system with good programs.
JAMB / WAEC are not supposed to be the only entrance to the University. There should be other qualification exams to act as substitutes like in other parts of the world especially in Europe and America.
Hello ladies. More grace to you guys.
Please where is Morayo?
I hope she is okay.
All glory to Jesus.
Shalom.
We need the names of the schools that are accredited
They’re all public schools owned by Beninese and Togolese
Even those in the upper levels forge certs gain the positions
Drop number to hear from the students too they have a say
Check NUC accredited university within 2019 to 2023
God bless BeeCee
Madam Nyma, take 🎉. Jamb brochure has the list of accredited higher institutions and courses accredited to these institutions but some people will want to play smart although I understand some are unaware
Does the JAMB brochure contain the list of all valid universities in west Africa, Africa or the world? I'm just asking.
@AndeyatsoRx I am talking about accredited Nigerian universities and courses accredited to each university in Nigeria. You should know that. Although some universities are accredited in Nigeria but some offer courses that are not accredited to them, so to be sure, a student can use the current JAMB brochure to be sure.
@AndeyatsoRx and if a student is studying out the country, the student should at least get a top school from that country and also check the school's ranking on a known and credible website. It is like a foreign student checking the National Open University's ranking before applying to the school.
England also deported Nigerian nurses with fake nursing certificates, Chidima withdraw from a South African beauty pageant because her Nigerian father stole an identity from a South African
Millions of such certificates are bought in your country. If you are scrutinised I am sure you don't have an eligible certificate. Get away
Nigeria is not country but a busness place again Nigeria is a UK company and Nigerians are collateral damage
@@oluayo14truth Tell the werey abeg. Victor will have sense one day.
British sPazashop hv 90% criminals, instead of fighting your colonizers Britian you are busy committing crime everywhere
