This is a song that when you listen, you LISTEN! and appreciate, throughout the whole song, I hope you listen to it sometime, without the need to talk all the way through.
@@allisonyoung4007 Yes, when you started off with Aw He'll. It made me smile. South Carolina girl here. The home of the Marshall Tucker band. I like watching these guys but I have to read their lips to know what they're saying.
@@ritayprice3510 Guess it takes 1 to know 1! 😊My late hubs was from Charleston~ These guys r cute but yes, the Liverpool accent is strong -but reminds me of the Beatles!
Welcome to when music was real music. No auto-tune, actual instruments, and nothing but pure raw talent. Need to try Grand Funk Railroad "Inside Looking Out" ua-cam.com/video/NxcOxvEsE_Y/v-deo.html and "Heartbreaker" ua-cam.com/video/21_yRb7qYNE/v-deo.html . Now that was music in it's purest form guys...
Yeah the Marshall Tucker Band rocks. Doug Grey lead singer playing tambourine in the video is alive and well, still touring. Sadly we lost Toy Caldwell ( lead guitar and vocals here) passed away as did his brother Tommy (bass player). More MTB"fire on the mountain","take the highway","24 hours at a time","searchin for a rainbow","this ol cowboy","heard it in a love song"are a few more classics by the Marshall Tucker Band ☮️
Gentlemen, this may be my favorite tune, and favorite performance of this tune, ever. Okay, it took two women to do that to me, but I can relate. Mr. Toy Caldwell on guitar and vocal. I saw these guys early on at a little club called the Palomino in North Hollywood, later at the Universal Amphitheater and so on. Epic, core tune on the soundtrack of my life. From the same album, taste "Take the Highway" and delight in Doug Gray's incredible vocals. The full story of MTB is epic and tragic. Few remain.
You either LOVE Southern Rock or you don't. I freaking DO! You guys should check out "Heard It in a Love Song"! It's a different vibe & another very cool song!🔥🤘
If you guys like this music... u NEED to check out ALABAMA... Country group from the 80s and 90s. They had 42 no. 1 hits I believe. Awesome music... if your gonna play in Texas, Mountain music, 40 hour work week....
not even bull shitting...how do you guys even understand english? i only say this cause whatever form of the language you speak isn't even close to it's true form. i give you mad props in this regard!
The guy singing and playing the Les Paul, is Toy Caldwell, the fella next to him playing the bass guitar is his younger brother Tommy. Both were Vietnam war heroes in the Marine Corps ! (Toy was shot up in Vietnam in '68 ) they both got out of Vietnam in '69 and started the Marshall Tucker band with high school friends. All three brothers (Tim) died at very young ages. 25, 30, & 45 so sad !

You should do some Bob Seger live concerts from the 70s, he was one of the greatest R&R performers of his time.
One of my favorites lads. Good call. Check out the Allman Brothers next if you haven't already.
Saw them a couple years ago. One of the best concerts I've been to & I've seen them all.

MTB - a great Southern rock band.
👍
Can't say for sure but I think the one with the tambourine is the only surviving member but I don't know for sure if even he is still alive today .
Yes Doug Grey is still alive and touring as the Marshall Tucker Band. I believe they're touring with the Charlie Daniels band this year ☮️
@@garykelly7422 Oh, man! that would be sweet!
The drummer Paul T.Riddle is still alive as well.
This song just rips my heart out
The singer is the late great Toy Caldwell. Unfortunately he died of a overdose not long after this video was made
Not even close. Toy died in 1993
No he didn't,he died 20 years later in 1993.
Ain't got 5 Lbs guys, but try some Bad Co.

Goddamnit. You two are insufferable. But this is a beautiful song and performance.
Scousers can be irritating
Back in 1973 I saw the as the opening act to the Allman Brothers. Not a bad show (lol)

Can't help but wonder what would've happened if Toy would've lived to be a old man
I love this reaction. The genius and ability of these musicians is over the top.
Any young man who's ever had his heart broken!
Southerners, the best musicians worldwide. Love their music ♥️♥️♥️♥️
You guys have to be Irish.. love that accent ♥️
It really looked like the guy on the left hit a rail in the middle of the video 😂
Year I was born.
So glad you are listening. You two have great hearts.
Welcome to America gents.
Seen them a few times in the 70's. A fav of mine. Laid back by a campfire and cold beer.
