As a Bron fan and weight lifting being my main form of exercise they’re a definite cop and I’m probably in the minority but I actually fw this color. That said it STILL hasn’t released on Nike here 😭
Yeag personally of the colors announced, easily my favorite. It's crazy though they were scheduled to really 9th of September and still nothing. Not sure what's going on.
I’m gonna get a pair for sure. I’m hoping they do well and Nike continues this line. I’d pay a little more down the road if they put in more tech. Zoom is signature for lebron basketball shoes so hopefully we get zoom down the road
Agreed, I think in future version; bring the height a bit lower so less foam and using zoom in the heel and forefoot for firmness and stability would make these perfect. I get it increases weight and cost but those would be nice additions.
Not mad at it, they look decent enough at least in the other colourways. Looks a lot less cheap than the Ambassador/Witness lines, and my knees have aged me out of playing basketball too much. I like there being a basketball-oriented gym shoe as someone who had quite a few pairs of those Jordan brand training shoes over the years. I don't need fancy cushioning for gym-based workouts so I may well pick these up in some of the later colourways
Those are really good points. Those Jordan trainers looked good (never had a pair) but definitely a break from what we were seeing in the market at that time. I personally like them, I think they're comfy and a good versatile shoe.
Not a clue. They've been listed in the Nike app for weeks. I turned the notify me option on just to know. my only guess is they're going to time it around the LeBron 22s which had a release date of Sept 28th according to stockx. So I'm not sure if they're delaying releases or the dates were just wrong. Either could be true.
I honestly thought they were releasing yesterday (9/19/24) but now I'm not sure. They're on the Nike as coming soon but no date. my assumption now would be tomorrow since Saturday are "usual" release days for most Nike product.
To be perfectly honest, I think the heel portion is on the softer side, so they may work against you if you're weight training. While they're stable, I feel like you need it to be a bit more firm to get the most from the workout. For light weight training I think they'll be perfectly fine but anything more than that you may want a dedicated shoe like the Nike Romaleos.
Pretty good, since you're foot is sitting on a wide base, it feels fairly stable especially with the way the midsole wraps around the lateral side of your foot.
The foam is on the softer side but I think they should be ok for squats. The base is wide enough. If you prefer a more firm base then definitely go with something like a Romaleos.
I don't have a whole lot of experience boxing but I think from a sparring perspective, I'd assume yes, they'll keep you comfy and relatively stable. On the martial arts side, I don't think so. As a kid taking tae kwon do, we attended classes and tournaments barefoot.
I think it depends on your preference, I think if you prefer a more firm shoe the Metcon is probably the way to go. If you'd like something a bit more soft/plush the TR1 is the way. they're definitely comfy I just think they may be too soft for some. Considering the Metcons have been around for so long, it's a shoe that's been ultra refined so I think you know what you're getting with that series.
I've never worn the metcon series but they look to be much more low to the ground and firm which would make them more stable, I'd say based on that, they would probably be better and more stable.
Sorry for the delay... I was trying to see if there was anything in the way of arch support and there didn't seem to be anything special going on. I think if you're looking for more support you might want to replace the insole with a more premium one with arch support to provide some relief with these trainers.
Im confused he keeps mentioning its only $130 as if these are super cheap......they're only $20 cheaper than the metcon 9 training shoe and more tha many of Nikes popular training shoes. Maybe theyre on the lower end (not cheap) for basketball shoes but not for training shoes
Thanks for that. Yeah that's a fair point. I think in hindsight I was thinking of them along the lines of basketball shoes and especially being a LeBron branded shoe. For years his shoes and even his more "affordable" options are still priced higher than most other shoes Nike offers in the same category. In a few months time I think like all other Nike products they will inevitably get discounted making them an easier buy for a lot of people. I really appreciate the feedback!
Thank you!! I tend to agree, I think people who REALLY want them will pay full price but fit the materials and cushioning tech I see these easily coming down to $/€70-80 easily. We saw it with the LeBron 22 and I think we'll see it with these.
Nike always does this, debuted a dope Olympic colorway just to release this garbage. We will probably never get a chance to purchase the best colorway. 🚮
They really do. One of the most egregious is when they debuted the KD 9 in two preheat colorways, black multi color with an iridescent swoosh (really really nice) and a white color way with hyper punch and an iridescent swoosh. They only released the white colorway and I desperately wanted the black version.
It's as if they know people want the good colorways but didn't want us to have them. the GT Cut 1 white hyper punch... Super limited, resell is crazy. That's another one.
Yeah, I've been thinking about the pricing. For a training shoe that doesn't actually feature any real advancements, it's a tough sell (if you're a Bron fan and wanted a branded training shoe, you've hit the jackpot). I do think these will get discounted sooner than later though. But I think this is just the start... We may even see LeBron branded football boots (soccer cleats??) amongst other equipment for other sports.
Yeah it's a hard sell especially with the metcon series offering zoom of some sort. Even if they did cushion or zoom x (it would blow up the cost of the shoe) would be an easier sell.
Yep, they tried to make this shoe for everything you can do at a gym but it doesn't say anything great. They're comfy but I think they just need to be a bit more firm and they'd be better.
I have a pair they fit better true to size small feet they look terrible on his foot gap at the front and says theyr not premium misses so many points my vid coming
If there's anything I missed or if there's anything you'd like to know about the Nike LeBron TR1, leave a comment! Thanks for watching!

Same I like these
Same. I love the TR1. Lightweight and very stable.
Dope review! Been waiting on someone to do a video on these
Thank you! I've been excited for these, they're a really good looking shoe.
I got them. They run very small. Definitely size up a whole size. I wish I knew this before ordering
I’m gonna get a pair for sure. I’m hoping they do well and Nike continues this line. I’d pay a little more down the road if they put in more tech. Zoom is signature for lebron basketball shoes so hopefully we get zoom down the road

i don't know why lebron has never had a rogaine collavoration with one of his 10lb shoes in the past
😂😂😂😂😂
where can i buy these?
Looks like just www.nike.com/t/lebron-tr-1-mens-workout-shoes-fQr44X
Nike web
So true to size with be tight fit and half size half would be better ??
Yep, the material stretches eventually but if you like some room half size up.

Any idea when they’ll release to the general public? Do you think they’re good for track work?
Not a clue. They've been listed in the Nike app for weeks. I turned the notify me option on just to know. my only guess is they're going to time it around the LeBron 22s which had a release date of Sept 28th according to stockx. Will these be released overseas like the UK
I would think these would be coming to the UK. Do you have access to stock x or goat? Prices have come down significantly.
When are these releasing?
I honestly thought they were releasing yesterday (9/19/24) but now I'm not sure. They're on the Nike as coming soon but no date. my assumption now would be tomorrow since Saturday are "usual" release days for most Nike product.
Are the grip and containment good enough to play basketball?
I personally wouldn't play in them, I think the foam would be too squishy for it HOWEVER they should be ok from the containment side.
In your opinion do you think they will be stable enough for weighted squats, deadlifts?
To be perfectly honest, I think the heel portion is on the softer side, so they may work against you if you're weight training. While they're stable, I feel like you need it to be a bit more firm to get the most from the workout. For light weight training I think they'll be perfectly fine but anything more than that you may want a dedicated shoe like the Nike Romaleos.
can it pass as a hoop shoe?
While I definitely think you can (I've seen people play in trainers like air max and the like) I don't think you should...or at least I wouldn't.
How are these with lateral movements? and do your ankles feel stable?
Pretty good, since you're foot is sitting on a wide base, it feels fairly stable especially with the way the midsole wraps around the lateral side of your foot.
Can you squat in these?
The foam is on the softer side but I think they should be ok for squats. The base is wide enough. If you prefer a more firm base then definitely go with something like a Romaleos.
Is it okay to play basketball?
I don't think you should, if you're just shooting around I think they're fine but if you're playing actual games I would say no.
AE1s with a Nike swoosh
...I see it and I never even noticed the resemblance. Especially with the texture on the foam.
would they be good for boxing/martial arts?
I don't have a whole lot of experience boxing but I think from a sparring perspective, I'd assume yes, they'll keep you comfy and relatively stable. On the martial arts side, I don't think so. As a kid taking tae kwon do, we attended classes and tournaments barefoot.
Metcons or these?
I think it depends on your preference, I think if you prefer a more firm shoe the Metcon is probably the way to go. If you'd like something a bit more soft/plush the TR1 is the way. they're definitely comfy I just think they may be too soft for some. Considering the Metcons have been around for so long, it's a shoe that's been ultra refined so I think you know what you're getting with that series.
is it stable like the metcon for strength training/weight lifting ?
I've never worn the metcon series but they look to be much more low to the ground and firm which would make them more stable, I'd say based on that, they would probably be better and more stable.
Dope. I like the purple colorway. I’m still waiting for more colorways to drop.
Same, of the announced colorways these are my favorite but I'd like to see what else they have beyond what they announced.
Is this good for flat feet?
Sorry for the delay... I was trying to see if there was anything in the way of arch support and there didn't seem to be anything special going on. I think if you're looking for more support you might want to replace the insole with a more premium one with arch support to provide some relief with these trainers.
Good on SALE for 90€.
I definitely think they'll get pretty cheap especially if they're making as many colorways as they are.
Im confused he keeps mentioning its only $130 as if these are super cheap......they're only $20 cheaper than the metcon 9 training shoe and more tha many of Nikes popular training shoes. Maybe theyre on the lower end (not cheap) for basketball shoes but not for training shoes

Nice review. Still think €130 is a lot of money.
Thank you!! I tend to agree, I think people who REALLY want them will pay full price but fit the materials and cushioning tech I see these easily coming down to $/€70-80 easily. We saw it with the LeBron 22 and I think we'll see it with these.
First one to do it !!!

They just now put out a Black and White GT Cut 3. 😢
It's as if they know people want the good colorways but didn't want us to have them. the GT Cut 1 white hyper punch... Super limited, resell is crazy. That's another one.
The cw might be garbage for others, but that cw is actually nostalgia, lebron "dunk man" cw iykyk 👑 🦁
looks like a nike cash grab with lebrons name on it i expect some quality at 130
Yeah, I've been thinking about the pricing. For a training shoe that doesn't actually feature any real advancements, it's a tough sell (if you're a Bron fan and wanted a branded training shoe, you've hit the jackpot). $130 with foam only cushion is a hard pass
Yeah it's a hard sell especially with the metcon series offering zoom of some sort. Even if they did cushion or zoom x (it would blow up the cost of the shoe) would be an easier sell.
LeBron now has a weightlifting shoe that isn’t stable enough for weightlifting 😂😂😂😂
Yep, they tried to make this shoe for everything you can do at a gym but it doesn't say anything great. They're comfy but I think they just need to be a bit more firm and they'd be better.
Lebron- i need some casual
Nike- Lebron what do you want?
Lebron- Yeezys
Nike- ok
😂😂😂 you take the swoosh away and boom.
Diddy would like to know if these would be good for.... nevermind...😂
😂😂😂
I have a pair they fit better true to size small feet they look terrible on his foot gap at the front and says theyr not premium misses so many points my vid coming
Can't wait to take a look!
I can only see 8 years old wearing these.
😂 valid opinion, the bright colors and shape for sure. I'm genuinely curious if they'll release these in children's sizes.
LeBron ×AE1 lol
I didn't notice before but someone commented that earlier and... I see it. They said take the swoosh away and that's what you have.
No zoom or air??? Lmao😴😴😴
Yeah I'm a bit disappointed tbh. For it being foam they're not bad at all but I really want zoom.
@@thereviewdwon’t zoom be too soft for a training shoe?
@MarvFitBikesKicks I think if you have a thin zoom unit it should be a bit more firm. That or even an air unit since they're even more firm (usually).
Lowkey looks like yeezy.
Someone said that earlier, I think if you take the swoosh away it definitely can pass as a Yeezy lol
