PM Modi LIVE: PM Modi Flags Off Namo Bharat Rapid Rail, Inaugurate Major Projects In Ahmedabad

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today flagged off India's first 'Namo Bharat Rapid Rail' service between Bhuj and Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The train, which has been renamed from the earlier 'Vande Metro', will cover the 360 km distance in just under six hours at a top speed of 110 km/h. The Namo Bharat Rapid Rail has 12 air-conditioned coaches with advanced features like centrally controlled automatic sliding doors, modular interiors, continuous LED lighting, panoramic windows, CCTV, and an automatic smoke/fire detection system. It can accommodate 1,150 seated passengers and up to 2,058 standing passengers.
