I'm going to Birmingham in the beginning of December and I will definitely visit this Christmas Market!! Even if it's not the best, it looks very cute and fun! I'm used to snow during Christmas and I find it very difficult to feel the Christmas spirit without it, but I hope this cute place will help me get in Christmas mood! Thank you for sharing!
Hi Wilma and welcome to the channel! Thanks so much for watching, I'm really pleased it's helped you get ready for your trip over - have a super time 🎄
Great video 👍 but you completely missed out the other half of the market over at Cathedral square (pigeon park) it has more stalls with independent sellers and better food options and a pop up pub!
Good to watch. Been a couple of times in the past. Usually park in the NIA and go Sealife centre, through the symphony complex, up the library to viewing area. Then through all the stall areas and onto the Bullring shopping centre plus large outdoor market. I.e a full day. Will be interesting to compare with the other xmas markets. I thought the prices seemed fair.
I go every year and after covid it went really down hill. There were hardly any stalls one year. This year looks slightly improved on that. Good video. I will be going soon.
Best in the UK. I felt that your comments didn’t match your scoring. We love it, and it creates a wonderful atmosphere in the city centre. I’ve been to most of the other UK Christmas markets and Birmingham is by far the best with the most beautiful setting 🍻🎄🎄
Hiya, the cities are supposed to be twinned - this market was initially created to try and encourage the British over the water to try the real deal in Frankfurt...
I like your channel I go to the Nottingham winter wounder land I shell all so go to the Birmingham one will you be going the Derby winterwounder land & Manchester one
Hi Vincent, thank you so much for watching the channel - yes I certainly am going to the Manchester one although the Derby one isn't on my list but I'll see if I can fit it in 😁
Sorry there is no fuss .. It gets worse every Year the German Market .. over priced rubbish on stalls .. I stay well away from it .. Complete waist of time and Money.. BTW not Trolling you just pointing out what most People in Brum think of it Now ... Cheers
Hiya, no I don't have a problem with your honesty - thank you for giving your feedback! To be fair, I've not met 1 person from Birmingham who actually likes the Christmas market there 😆
Hiya 👋 I imagine the twinkling lights and Christmas trees would look really magical for kids 🎄 Christmas, a humbug, Rick!? "You don't mean that, I am sure?" 😉
A very nicely presented and informative video, but speaking as a local I don't find much to recommend this market at all. The prices of food and drink especially, are very high and many of the stalls just sell the same overpriced poor qualitystuff every year.. So while it might be a Christmas Market, I wouldn't describe it as a particularly authentic one.
Hi Paul, thanks so much for watching ☺️ it's always good to hear the opinions of locals. This market was ok but I'm looking forward to comparing it to others in the UK 😬🎄
Thank you very much for replying to my comment. I didn't mean to to sound overly pessimistic, because there are good points about the market. It does bring more people to the city, and gives a very festive feel. Don't get me wrong I have been to it a few times over the years and enjoyed it, but as I said, they are charging way too much for what they sell. I just think there needs to be a little more variety there and more realistic pricing. But thank you for visiting our city and taking a look around.❤️ Kind regards Paul
@paulph12002 thank you - having now done a couple of other markets in the UK I must agree with you that Birmingham lacks greatly on stall variety - hopefully things will improve in future years 🙏
( ͡⚆ ͜ʖ ͡⚆). Hi, friend That movie was incredible! 🤩🤩🤩🤩 So joyful and heartwarming! 😍 I really enjoyed every moment of it! 😊👍 Hope you have a fantastic day, my dear friend! ( ♥ ͜ʖ ♥)👍💯💯
The Christmas Market is not as good now as it used to be it was better in the past the atmosphere is not the Same in the past we would go Three Times now i only go ones yes there is the Homeless as well walking around asking for money you do have to watch you Back as well some of the stools are not all German Some are other nationality’s it’s worth a visit once sorry to be so down hearted things have Changed a lot over time 🥹
Yes I agree, I went about 10 years ago and really enjoyed it...Its a shame, I just feel Birmingham centre doesn't feel particularly safe which puts you on edge when walking round 😬 the homeless I feel so sorry for and try help where possible but people coming up to you when your walking round asking for money is quite intimidating (and it happened more than once) lots of groups about too looking shifty 😬 its not impossible to have a good time, I just think you need to have your wits about you
…lovely vid… that Xmas market looks absolutely amazing…
Thanks for watching I'm glad you enjoyed it. It feels like ages ago since Christmas now

Lovely tour and explanation. Really enjoyed watching your video
Thank you so much, that's really appreciated ☺️

Thanks so much for the info 😊 I saw they were putting something up but it hadn't opened yet - a good tip for future visitors - thanks!
Not officialy called pigeon park as it is not a park, it is a concicrated grave yard and to be honest there aren't that many pegions there ny way
The stalls at the Cathedral is a British market. Usually have a helter skelter
Thanks for the info - shame that it hadn't started at the same time as the rest of the market 😔 but good for future visitors to know - thanks ☺️🎄
Nice vlog and useful info👍 but as a local the market is the same old thing every year prices are way over the top to 🍻
Thanks for watching - yes to be honest I've not met one person from Birmingham who likes the Christmas market there - so I guess that says a lot 😬

Hi thanks for watching and thanks for giving your opinion on the market - always good to hear what others think 🎄
Nice pick pocket heaven and really safe.
Yeah there were lots of signs up about pick pocketing 😬
Nice market but i prefer ours here in Quebec because we have real snow. Have an awesome week Claire♥
Oh wow I'd love to see a market with real snow - that must look so magical - thanks for watching Lorraine x
@@LorraineWeston-t9j Sounds lovely! I'd love to visit Canada one day!❄☃️
thank you
You're welcome - thanks for watching 🎄🩷
What is the Frankfurt part of it ??

@TheWanderlustWayisback far fetched
@@pim1234 🤣🤣
Birmingham and Frankfurt are twinned Cities and the Market is run jointly with Frankfurt City Council hence the name
Looks like the same food as years past. Food at Manchester market looks more updated
Yeah my son said Manchester had more variety for food but I haven't tested it out yet....

Hi 👋 thank you so much for your kind words and for watching ☺️ what a lovely comment 🫶🎄
i was there last year' it did have police around.
Must be something they do every year then...in the paper it said they'd increased the number of officers for 2024...
@@TheWanderlustWayisback they closed off the roads aswell so no cars could get in.
@@jonshadow4052 good for visitors....not so good for locals I guess 😬
