This video perfectly shows that these 2 are a classic Tim Burton couple. Socially awkward outcast and kind hearted openminded and mostly patient love interest that loves them just the way they are...while the outcast struggle with the whole "doing feelings" thing. It's sleepy hollow...Edward scissorhands-esk. Its just a female outcast instead of a male thats all. Xavier is her endgame. But its gonna take her a while to realise and express those feelings towards him though. But thats definitely her gomez if she likes it or not. She tries to fight it but its inevitable.

@beshlyle9879 Thank you. You can tell Tim Burton is part of this. Her playing the 🎻 and him hearing it was very similar to Edward making it snow. It gives a "so close yet so far" vibe. Them doing their thing is clearly reaching their love interest eventhough they are so far away and isolated...but the outcast is clueless about it. Its very symbolic of the relationship as a whole. But the difference is, in this tim Burton movie the outcast finds out her music reached him when he drew her playing.
Also the way they dress xavier sometimes has a bit of a young johnny depp thing going on. He has the tim Burton cast vibe thats for sure.
I think she clearly likes him but doesn't want to. I think she wanted him to be the hide...to lock him away...so she can dismiss him. She has feelings for him and that scares the h*ll out of her. This won't be a flashy romance. He will continue to do what he is doing....letting his actions do the talking to win her trust and not scare her off. But he is kinda talking in her language. Before she even got there he is painting a raven. To impress her he draws a spider....Wednesday loved her spider Homer. He choose to "give her" a spider. He is talking in her language....without saying a word. 🖤

And I kinda changed my mind on morticia. When I first watched it, well I am old school and morticia is an infj to Wednesdays intj. Morticia is self sacrificing for the well-being and safety of those she loves. She is openminded and will change to make others happy. Its why she changed the nursery for baby pubert accepting him as he is even if that meant blond with dimples and totally not like her. But eventhough she is calm and kind its morticia you need to watch out for in that family....very protective and willing to do anything for those she loves. Its why she went to the house when they got locked out and why it was morticia that confronted "fake" fester. So to see this morticia demand perfection from her daughter and her to be like her....thats not morticia! That toxic stuff isn't in line with her character at all.
But I have come around. I think they needed the outcast to rebel against someone...so against her mom I guess (gives her something to bond over with Xavier). But I think Wednesday doesn't see morticia correctly cause Wednesday doesn't see herself correctly. Its kinda funny. Wednesday said she is "nothing like her mother,she will never fall in love and have a family". Its ironic cause as an intj Wednesday is very simular to her infj mother....so she is very wrong....she IS like her mom,will fall in love and have a family. 🤣
The thing with the infj is you need to read between the lines. They know whats coming but don't want to effect it so they talk in riddles. I think morticia knows whats about to happen. She gave her an amulet she would need in the end,she told her to go make friends and how she met gomez there. 😜hint hint😜 I think morticia knows. 🤔🤣
The thing with her and xavier is....he is comfy like family. He is family of a friend of the family, they have history,gets along with those family members he met, speaks her language without words, their powers match so he can understand that part of her,both are into the arts, he is protecting her and accepts her as she is... he feels like family.
I think her banter is to keep him at arms length. He keeps letting her know he likes her. If she felt nothing she could just ignore it or put him out of his misery....if she wants him to stop that that is...but she doesn't. But Wednesday goes for banter. She likes him...but feelings are a weakness to Wednesday so this scares her. Her banter is keeping him at arms length. She does like him, she's just a little skittish about it. With time he'll grow on her big time. He will sneak into that little heart without her noticing it.
Personally I like a romance where 99% of the loving acts are non verbal....little gestures...bodylanguage...acts of service...an emotional and mental bond. Cute! Like fester puts it...electricity.

i absolutely love this video !! the comparisons between wednesday and xavier with morticia and gomez were beautifully portrayed, and i love how morticia told wednesday that she’s a raven and that’s what xavier was painting when she’d first arrived and when she was playing her cello. i hope more people see this :))
Would be interesting to know if Morticia saw Wednesday and Xavier in a vision and sent her to Nevermore as a result of that. I wonder if she saw him painting the raven, too, and knew what it meant, to then tell Wednesday she was a raven as a subtle hint. Wonder if Wednesday made the connection between her being a raven and his raven mural at school - sometimes people like Wednesday might not pick up on such things (or be afraid to, speaking as someone who is a lot like her, oblivious to such things most of the time), it's easier to pick up on such hints when it's happening to someone else and you're just an observer.
@@darth-imperius i wouldn’t be surprised if she did see it, after all morticia is well aware of wednesday not wanting to be like her and gomez: fall in love and have a family, so if she were to have told wednesday about her vision then wednesday would’ve done everything she could to prevent it but morticia doesn’t underestimate wednesday as much as wednesday thinks she does and is sure that wednesday is more than capable of figuring it out on her own

This was beautiful! I really think that their dynamic has the potential to be something special for Wednesday.
They're so in love it's actually hilarious but also I think Merlina is terrified that Xavier can see who she is through those barriers she built around her and loves her just the way she is and that's why she tries to push him away.

I noticed as such when Thing uncovered the painting of Wednesday playing the cello. Xavier mentions that it's the only moment Wednesday actually shows who, and what she is. He's an artist, she's a musician. Those two kinds of people connect easier to each other than to the rest of the world. Wednesday's reaction is at first clearly impressed and deeply touched, but she gets scared when those feelings start to overwhelm her, and she brusquely turns away from it. It's just too confrontational for her.
The symbolism of Wednesday being a prodigy on the cello is also deeper than you'd think at first glance : The cello is a very hard to master instrument, it's tone is deep, lyrical and romantic when played right. Wednesday is actually an utter romantic, like the Pre-Rafaelites, with that, comes a deep obsession with death, suffering, esoteric beauty and above all "love".. In short: "Wednesday"

Xavier's line and his painting of Wednesday sound like a confession for me
This is the greatest xavier wednesday edits. It showed us the little details we ignored in the show. I know wednesday showed a miniscule care about him but just preventing herself because she doesn't want to be like her mom. I thought xavier was Hyde, im glad he's not because I love him from day 1.
His powers are connected with Wednesday. When she talked about spider he drew spider. When she came to school he drew raven which her mother called her. When ever she met monster he drew it and even went to places to protect her. She ditched him on RAVN dance day. Still he tried to help she framed and put him in prison out of anger he said harsh words but said sorry afterward and came to protect her. She also took arrow for him. I think she secretly do have feelings for him but as she said she didn't want to follow her mother footsteps so she was avoiding. On the other hand he is head over heals in love with her what other proof Fandom want!?

I really like the artistic way you put together their story. The music even made it all more visceral. I really like these two characters together on screen. They have fire, chemistry. Wednesday's kinda awkward & isn't used to having a relationship with anyone, except her unique family, & Thing, of course. I adore, Thing! Might be one of my favorites on the show. Tim Burton once again nailed it!
Amazing video! You can see how carefully and in detail the work has been done! I applaud you standing up (music so beautiful)! Xavier and Wednesday really have incredibly great potential, it's felt by what Burton and the writers are doing. They gradually develop the two of them, and the chemistry and tension between them literally fry me at every joint moment. Wasn't I the only one who noticed it? 🙈🔥 Absolutely all interactions with meaning, with drama and hope for something more. There are too many such references and moments that lead to them. Xavier is the one who treats her as an equal, is not afraid to tell her everything to her face and boldly point out her terrible actions when she goes too far, even if she loves her very much. He sees through her/the real one. He can be a great partner for her if you develop it well. Burton can do it.
It's a pity if the fans and the actors themselves somehow interfere with Burton's original plans and force him to change course. I just feel that Xavier is exactly the one who will be with her at the end of the story, and their relationship will be strengthened gradually with friendship, support and respect for each other, and then with the realization of even greater feelings. It's a shame if they ruin such a potential of these two and leave only friends... 💔

OOOH I LOVE THIS EDIT omg all the small connections that were never really addressed unless you really look hard enough! That's the beauty of subtlety that I enjoy from Xavier and Wednesday's potential dynamic. They never had the most romantic scenes, not the most touching ones, not the most powerful ones, but the setup is there. And they did have an incredibly angsty clashing scene which adds to the tension in their relationship that is just begging to be repaired in the most beautiful way.
Cannot wait to see Season 2 where Wednesday and Xavier bond more, subtle romantic hints here and there as Xavier becomes Wednesday's ally to solve a new mystery!
For me, the most romantic scene is when they reconcile in the end.
Not only when they talk but during the moment when they don’t talk after Wednesday joined him upstairs (after he waved to her)

I'm in love with #waiver. However, my prediction for season 2 is that they explore the other characters backgrounds like Xavier for instance. I also think that they may put Bianca and Xavier back together making Wednesday have to reconcile feelings of jealousy that she may have never experienced before. W and X are a slow burn end game

Absolutely love this video! They have the potential to be such a great couple. I do think it's interesting though that everyone sees Xavier painting the raven murals in the quad and assumes the ravens represent Wednesday, even though the Raven is Nevermore's mascot.
Maybe significant, maybe not significant. The writers admitted they had 4 seasons fully plotted-out, might Wednesday get renewed. So, who knows where this will go. Xavier and Wednesday being the new Gomez and Morticia afa love goes, or an utterly deep, platonic (!) connection. Both would be fine by me, though, personally I'd lean more towards 'best friends' It would be quite wholesome to -for once, see a deep friendship between a boy and a girl without the burden of 'love'... Having friends become lovers is mostly a lazy way for writers to blow a bit more life in a dying franchise, and usually kills the franchise off.

Please. Don't compare Wednesday and Xavier to Bella and Edward. For starters Wednesday is more emotional and intelligent than Bella. And Edward can't hold a candle to Xavier.
Supposedly the two will spend season 2 working on building an actual friendship between each other. Which is good, will give a better foundation for progressing a relationship if the show gets a season 3 or 4

I don't know about the love-connection, but Xavier is actually the only one that expresses himself as honest and blunt as Wednesday does. He's the only character that dares to say the truth in Wednesday's face, whatever her reaction. He's undaunted by the mask she wears to keep the world at an arm's length. Enid is a bit more 'tactical' but she too, saw behind Wednesday's mask.
They're the kind of real friends that Wednesday didn't know she actually needed. The 1st season makes a point of showing how Wednesday starts to realise that 'friends' aren't a hindrance, but rather a great asset to her life, especially after being so brutally betrayed by Tyler..
Truth be told, this edit made me more seriously ponder an eventual 'romance' between Wednesday and Xavier as less unlikely that I initially thought. Come to think of it...The moment Wednesday sees the painting of her playing the cello, It's clear that it impacts her much more than she dares to admit that Xavier has an àctual interest in her as a person and as an artist for another artist. There's a sudden connect. And it makes her uncomfortable, because it derailed her preconceptions about Xavier.
You said it all. Wednesday even almost smiled when she remembers of him in the infirmary.

Remember thing about Wednesday is that she has psychic abilities, she sees the dark but he mother is a "dove" by seeing light in the visions that wednesday inherited off of her. She hasn't had any bad or dark visions of Xavier but did with Tyler
