it wont buddy bcz this channel doesn't have any mediocre ex cricketer who can keep talking about kohli alone for 365 days a year . this channel alongside grade cricketers is for those who genuinely understand cricket
This channel has become the best and most important in the world. Well done all. This particular episode should get a lot more views than the Fridman/Zelenskyy thing,
Apparently with the presentation, CA had organised for Border to present the trophy if AUS wins, and Gavaskar to do it if India won. It did look a bit odd for Suni just standing on the sidelines just watching.
The same way they have always done with the AFL premiership. Club champion of the winning team presents the cup while the lower gets shit canned. I am not a fan though.
It was plenty rude to snub him. I would have made him part of it and certainly it would have rubbed the mans massive ego up the wrong way internally to be made to hand over his trophy to the Aussies. Opportunity lost imo
Kohli signaling about sandpaper was not about recalling that incident. The day before that there were Aussie media reports saying Bumrah is carrying a sandpaper inside his boots. And Kohli rightly replied to that accusation. Expected better from Gilly, he should have known this detail.
And the fans chanting where's your visa was in response to the Indian fans chanting Phil Hughes when Bumrah was running into bowl, just for some detail.
@@simplyarnab Justifying horrid chants by calling them crass and pulling the race card! Nice. Feel bad for the genuine Indian students that want to come to Australia to study. I think the crowd was suggesting that Virat was using Sandpaper as the wickets were tumbling down in the 4th innings of the 5th test on Day 3. He wasn't attacking the Aussie team and absolutely not Steve Smith. They're very close friends as Smith was heard defending his old counterpart after the series.
Yes the crowd could have provoked, but Virat Kohli is a very senior cricketer ,a modern day legend, irrespective of his poor returns this series and also the last few years , Virat definitely should have been much more mature ,that was totally unnecessary along with his shoulder barge with konstas..
Have a 2 year test league. Continue FTP for points table.. top 6 will play each other in a 5 week test championship tournament.. Top two will play WTC final.. Have the test tournament in England for starts as there is still a lot of appetite for tests in that country... No other cricket except maybe minor T20 or Women's cricket.. I am sure there are ways to make Test cricket more appealing and rewarding.
India complained about a DRS decision and admitted that he had hit it. Then Sharma went on to say they always get the wrong end of the stick with DRS. I assune forgetting Jaiswal should have been given LBW hours earlier.
I think Michael will agree, India won the series morally after the first match and just wasn't interested in the series. Everyone knows pink ball is not even a real cricket ball. Tests are called red-ball games for a reason. So the series is 1-1 drawn, Bumrah not being in 4th innings makes the 5th test null. So India has moral victory and keeps the trophy. Turns out Michael agrees. Clearly, Sam played bazzball, so Eng are also the moral winners, that just leaves Aussies as the losers. Do you guys reckon Sam is a generational talent?
answer - "The Australian board had made the decision long back that if Australia won at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Border would present the trophy to the home team, and if India managed to retain the title by levelling the series at 2-2 with a victory in the fifth Test, Gavaskar would present the trophy to stand-in skipper Jasprit Bumrah. However, an awkward scene unfolded at the venue on Sunday as Gavaskar was not invited to the podium despite the India legend being present at the ground for commentary duties." - stupid decision by CA - should have had both regardless of result.
Bazball.. is just a name. Michael go on. The Aussies and New Zealand teams always played that style in domestic/international tournaments. 350-400 runs in a single day was pretty common since 1998 for the Aussies. Go on. They were the 2 countries that were result oriented. This is like claiming you invented football 😂
Gday Prairians and Welcome to Club Prairie Fire, Season 9 episode 10. We are super fond of tequila, Tabasco and the Duckworth Lewis Stern System. This episode we are calling… “Vaughany’s prediction was right… at least on our show.” That’s right folks, 3-1 the mighty Australians have defeated India to claim the border Gavaskar trophy and our super soothsayer Michael “the 5th day sucks” Vaughan predicted it. What he didn’t predict was the epic spice that the series and in particular the 3 day, yes your heard it right, 3 day 5th test would toss up. And Konstas has coped alot for his antics. But indua looked liked spolit brats when he was sjashing Bumrah day 1. That innings also gave Australia huge momentum in the series and tgeir top order scored runs.
I’m not sure Konstas picked a fight with anyone other than just batting as he pleased. If that’s picking a fight with India then I’m very certainly out of touch with the modern world.
Picking on a 19 y o if the 19 y o behaves like one is bad! If he is way beyond his age in terms of abrasiveness and lack of respect for opponents he should be ready to cop it and be treated like a 25 y o!
All this nonsense about "If Bumrah had've been fit... it would've been a drawn series..." It's rubbish. It's called "test" cricket because it tests both teams. india had one decent bowler who they bowled into the ground. They failed the test and you could see it coming from a mile away.
@@klawless sounds cute but I am serious. this guy is a leader. PS - apples and oranges. cant compare women athletes to men. no matter if its 15th century or 25th. she is great though.
In what world was this even close to being the best series of all time? Forget 05, it wasn’t even better than last year’s Ashes. 2021 and 2017 BGT’s also better. No rain in Brisbane and the Aussies would’ve cruised to a 4-1 win. It was still a good series, but it’s now being put on a pedestal it doesn’t deserve to be on.
I think it's only because of India's population, nearly all the people in the stadium were Indians or Indian fans so it makes it look like a hugely popular series.
Both Rohit sharma and Kohli should go play Ranji trophy or County cricket only if they perform there then only perform there then only they should be allowed to be play in test team if not they should retire or selectors should drop them & even For Gill

Thank god for vaughan reminding everyone that australians lecturing about morality and aggresiveness is such an insult to every cricket fan. Aussie media and players might put up this show of 'good' spirit in them now but we all remember the ponting and steve waugh era. My dad still talks about the ind aus series where ponting raised his finger and the umpire gave the ind batsman out without even checking. Australia were the better team in this series though. Congratulations to you. But please stop this nonsense whining about behavior of players.
Has anybody got 14 centuries against Andy, garner Marshall Wes hall holder holding Croft gilchrist Sylvester Clarke Wayne Daniel Norbert Phillip ? The man’s record is mammoth and incomparable!! It’s like an Englishman scoring 14 centuries in India against Bedi Chandra Prasanna Venkat Goel shuvalkar ash and Kumble!! Has anybody understood the depth of this statistic?
Sam Konstas already occupies too much free rent in the Indian players heads. Bumrah had every reason to react the way he did after the Khwaja dismissal, the others didn’t need to. Similar to Travis Head, they need a gameplan that they can stick to and get him out. That will be more than enough.
Bringing Sam konstas was not a good tactic it was incompetence you know Aussies cannot play bumrah if you call anything tactical it should be working on batting skills.
