I've heard that Sully had a lot of trouble to fly again being labeled as a pilot that crashed a plane by insurance companies policies. It's solved now, but that superdude had a couple of tough months before corporate decided to alter their databases and let him breath. Is it true?
What we do know is that the movie painted the investigators as some sort of Gestapo, trying to accuse the pilot. Hollywood always needs to add a bit of fictional drama, because reality is too dull for the big screen.

Why, they do largely the same things, especially as compared to gangs and biker gangs nowadays. Drug trade is only one aspect of what the yakuza and mafia back in the day did, and are doing now. Drug cartels are yet another entirely third thing.
@RS-fy9hb because they are separate organisations with distinctly different rituals and practices. Calling the Yakuza a 'Mafia' is just very inaccurate western-centric laziness, and again it's exactly like calling all baseball players 'American cricketers'.
@@wraitholme Calling them the mafia of japan, or something akin to the mafia but for Japan is an attempt at explaining what the yakuza is. Do you expect someone who's never heard of what the yakuza is, to get an accurate view of what the yakuza is, with literally no frame of reference? When we explain something to people, we use common frames of references, in order to conjure up a somewhat accurate picture if what we're describing or talking about. That's a wild distillation of every action taken that compares the yakuza to the mafia in any given conversation. Why would you do that? Why do you think everyone who aims to explain the yakuza as the mafia of Japan, has some sort of laissez faire attitude towards every other culture, or maybe japanese culture specifically?
