Zegras to Philly for TK
San Jose seems like a team that should move up from the 33 spot, try and make it a 3 impact player draft. Maybe something like 33 and 42 to LA for 21. Some of these aging established teams might like the idea of drafting two B- prospects as opposed to one B+.
I believe the sens and sharks could make a trade!
Ottawa receives: Thomas Bordeleau, 14th, 33rd, and 42nd picks.
San Jose receives: 2024 7th, 25th pick

Honestly a good idea. I worry a bit about trading Bords when it seems like he might be about to break out (not as a star but a quality piece), but 7th gives you a good chance at either Parekh or Buium and I feel like there's some great value options in the mid 20s.
If this would be the case, I'd almost hope the Sharks could keep the 42nd pick and give another prospect like Wiesblatt. And with that pick saved draft a goalie (probably the first one of this class), even if it's slightly a reach, and most goalies are seen as 1B goalies at best, having something in the pipeline would a great deal as well. Name coming to my mind are Carter George or Ilya Nabokov

Lol NJ is not moving 10oa for markstrom. Anything over holtz + a 3rd is an overpay

NJ is desperate to upgrade their goaltending. Ullmark? Gibson? Markstrom? Has to be one of those. Are NJ not at the pony where they need to start getting desperate to get a head or the arms race in the East? Overpay? Probably. But what is a playoff spot worth ?

As a ducks fan, I think moving their #3 pick will depend on if Chicago takes levshunov. If they do, I don't see demidov as a beeker type player, and he may try to flip the pick to someone in the 4-7 range that is really high on him.
Demidov is completely a Verbeek type player. Now that Gauthier is on the Ducks they need a top 4 winger. And that’s Demidov
Wings fan here. Im liking Beckett Sennecke quite a bit if he can make it to Detroit. The Wings are stacked with goalie and defensive prospects. They have a few solid LWs in their farm system, and with Kasper and Danielson.. they have center depth in the farm system. What they dont have are RWs. Outside of Carter Mazur, there really isnt anyone. Sennecke would immediately be our top RW prospect and further add to the overall prospect wealth Detroit currently enjoys at every position.
My thoughts exactly. We need to draft a RW with our first pick. Sennecke, Connelly, Greentree, Artemonov, Parascak.
Hear me out. This would be a bit of a weird cluster of trades, but I think it could work.
Buffalo sends Jeff Skinner(50% retained) to Philly with Ostlund for Konecny. Philly gets a guy that can replace the scoring plus a solid prospect while having a lower cap hit opening space.
Buffalo then trades Samuelsson and a 3rd for Jiricek citing that Columbus benched him then demoted him as why the return isn't as spectacular as expected by CBJ fans.
Adams then makes his best move trading the 11th alongside Oliver Nadeau for Anthony Cirelli after Catton and Eiserman slip in the draft.
He wraps it all up with a bow however in a full on push opening free agency signing Reinhart to a 1 year max contract redefining the team while solidifying where he needed to. Taking advantage of teams looking to move talent for capital while able to justify it logically
The Wild at 13 could consider moving one or two spots back if they get a decent offer. Out of 5 guys they could pick in that range, they might not have a big preference depending on how the board plays out.
This could entirely be because I’ve been following this draft really closely as a Habs fan, but it seems there are at least 1( very good prospects in this draft. That may not be earth shattering but it’s still pretty good.

Carolina needs a goalie, why would they want the 10th overall pick. Just take NJ out of that

I can see Markstrom (retained) + 2nd for Mercer though.
Flames need a winger like him and he could fit well into what we are building.
Devil's won't be able to keep Mercer long term and need to upgrade elsewhere. He really is a luxury for them. It just makes sense.
That report saying that Calgary not being willing to retain salary made the deal fall through is weird. All of the rumors at the time and still the majority of reports I've seen was that what made the deal fall through was that New Jersey wanted to send Holtz back but that Calgary wanted the forward the be Mercer and New Jersey refused.
I think there is a strong chance the Kraken trade up with Montreal for that 5th pick. Seattle covets one of the top D men and Montreal’s offensive targets should be available at 8, and Seattle has a ton of prospect and draft capital…just makes sense.
I can see Colorado trading with NJ for the 10th pick. They have traded away a lot of picks in recent years.

I'm a Toronto fan and i wish we could move up in the draft. Not likely as we have no draft capital to work with. Having said that, moving back in order to gain an extra pick sounds like a good idea to me, especially since we have no second or third round pick. We're at #23... I saw Beaudoin's name in a mock draft I looked up. Not bad...but its probably more likely that our pick may get moved in order to help the team now, which i can understand. Hopefully, it's a win whichever way we go👍
Last I saw Bobrovski age 35 is playing amazing & backstopping his team to their consecutive Cup final.
If Dickinson goes before 7 I'd be interested in a swap of picks involving Parayko salary retention would be needed on Parayko imo. Would be interesting and then the Sens could get Emery at 16 which would be nice basically a Parayko replacement in like 5 years

As a Flyers fan, I don’t think it’s wise to trade TK. He’s been with the club since his teenage years and is still young. I believe he has the potential to be a franchise player. He’s improving every year and currently leads the team in points. The team should focus on building around him as a young leader. Moreover, there aren’t many players like him in the NHL, which makes him even more valuable to keep.
i think the main reason everyone is saying TK is getting traded is because he says he needs 10m+ on his next contract for his yearly average which is kinda insane even tho i love TK he seems like an 8m player not 10m+

I think Chicago is more likely to move down than Anaheim, because they need a larger number of pieces. Something like the 2nd and 72nd to Calgary for 9th and 28th. Calgary is just an example, I don't know that they'd want to give up two 1st rounders if they expect Tij Iginla to be available at one of them.
Zegras would be quite the catch! Let’s not forget he had back to back 60+ point seasons and probably has the potential for much more with the right team! Would cost a relatively high 1st round pick though! 🤷🏻♂️
Nah.. they got too many future picks in rounds 1 to 3. They will chill again next season. 2025 will be their breakout season. Until then they‘ll draft everthing in top10 they get…

With the Caps at 17th will that pick and maybe a Protas be enough to get the 10th pick? There'd want to be a guy worthy of moving up available for the Caps though. They may want Fehervary maybe but I'm not sure I'm comfortable with that as a Caps fan
Not sure how realistic it is. But if Habs leave the draft with either Lindstrom or Demidov, AND Necas/Zegras. It would be incredible.

I do believe the Wild will be trying to move Filip Gustavsson to make room for Wallsteadt to play along side of Fluery. Could the Wild and Devils make a deal work? Wild move up only three spots, so more would need to be included. Thoughts?
That would be the dumbest decision ever. Wallsteadt has played like 2 total nhl games and flower is 40 years old. Neither have any business being a starter at this point but if it gets them a really high draft pick next year im all for that.
@@italian1ist I don't disagree that it may be a dumb idea. But, I really think this next season needs to come with little expectation to set them up for the other side of the Parise/Suter buyouts. One aspect might be to get Wallsteadt up to speed and I think Flower has already shown how he can be a positive influence on a young teammate. Even with Gus, this team has basically ZERO cap space and proved to have a severe lack of depth (last season). Gus' $3.75 mil could free up some money for re-tooling.
Sabres need to send Samuelson to Ottawa with their first rounder this year and a second next year for Brady tkachuck.

My only problem with Montreal acquiring bottom of top6 kind of players is that it would ciment Suzuki, Caufield and Slafkovsky being the top3.
I sincerely hope im wrong, but i have very low confidence in that team if the first line remains the same, yes they could all develop into the unicorns every habs fanatics think these guys are, but realistically a lot of things (too many) have to align for a team built that way to be successful.
Better players being acquired (no matter how) is desperately needed to push down talent throughout the lineup.

I've seen reports that Montreal has interest in Marco Rossi. They will only do this if Cayden Lindstrom isn't available at #5. Comment if you think this trade works:

Montreal selects Beckett Sennecke with the 9th pick. They are really high on Lindstrom, but if he's not available at 5th, they will trade down. Their second target is Sennecke. They make the trade with Calgary cause I don't think Iginla will be available at 9th. Calgary will for sure get him at #5.
