Hey Beth! I'm from Spain and whenever my family and I have a summer night barbeque we make a lot of sangría and it's the perfect drink to go along with that kind of dinner. We just use wine and a little bit of lemon soda and then a whole lot of fruit, orange, lemon, melon, and my personal favorite: peach. You let it sit and the drink gets infused with all those flavors and then you can eat the fruit! It's delicious that way :)
Thank you for that non alcoholic version. Im preparing for a day with my girlfriends and i love the idea of sangria. Since we dont drink alcohol, this is awesome. Thank you again, Beth!
Hi Mrs. Beth! I just wanted to tell you that I made your Cesar salad today, celebrating my mom's birthday and father's day.( my father was traveling on father's day) It was soooooo delicious, my parents loved it! I love cooking and baking, so I made everything from scratch. I made a loaf bread yesterday, and made hard bread for my Cesar salad just like you showed. It was really delicious, they also loved homemade dressing! Thank you very much for great recipe. Love your videos! :)
Yes, I agree! I made everything from scratch but it was worth the effort. My parents loved it. And yes, homemade dressing Really makes difference than store bought, I could immediately smell the dressing with marinated chicken and freshly browned garlic bread! Was so good, we had it for lunch today, and my mom was so happy she told me that I was born to be a chef! lol Thank you very much for sharing this recipe with us Mrs. Beth :) Oh, I also made a cake using Mrs. Gemma's recipes, that was so good too!
I’m glad I have found you. You are my to go channel when ever I want to cook something fancy. Me and my husband love your recipes. They are always hit and never disappoint us. Thanks for amazing recipes and appreciate your effort for each video. ❤️ u loads !!!! U r one of my favourite chefs!!!!
I was looking for a non alcoholic sangria and here it is a wonderful one thanks a lot. I really enjoy your videos they are just perfect I like how you are very organized
I've never made the real kind before. Usually I do an instant, cheaters version by combining wine with blood orange Italian soda and dropping in some sliced citrus. It's surprisingly good, and easy to make a glass at a time when I don't have company over. I'll have to try the authentic version next time I have something planned in advance.
I'll definitely try the no alcohol one. Here in Spain we make it a bit diferent. We put the wine with the water and half a cup of sugar. We marinate that with one sliced orange, lemon and some peaches! Try it next time with peaches, it tastes hundred times better!
I really love your pitcher. I love how you offered both alcoholic and non alcoholic versions. I might make both and set them out at a drinks table for my 21st
Hi there Beth! Lovely sangria. Next time you came to Portugal you should visit the north! You will have a blast! Thanks again for your videos, i love them!
Sophia Alicea Aw thanks :) So glad you like them! Sure here's an easy "cheater's croissant recipe" made with puffed pastry. Really god and EASY! Enjoy! :) Beth's Easy Almond Croissants
Hmmmm sangrias are one of those things that just gives our family an excuse to use ripe fruit in the house. We usually add citrus, apple, pears and some stone fruit into the mix and let everything merry overnight. Though we don't have much liqueur except a bit of brandy or rum so we tend to go the former :) delicious. I liked how you included a non-alcoholic version too! I remember when I was a kid I wanted to be sophisticated like my parents so I always held their drinks for them (without drinking them of course; preteen was a bit too young for alcohol consumption hehe)
Hi i just watched your video on how to make a sangria! Im so happy that i found something that is non alcoholic!!! I really love cooking and i notice that some fancy dishes i would like to make require wine or its not the same without it! Im not an alcohol drinker so could you please do a video on how to make red wine and white wine without alcohol? I would really appreciate it! Thanks!! love your videos!
Aw love your country! We had nice a nice time there! :) We were in Lisbon and Sintra and the Azores (Flores Island) which was just incredible! :) Amazing country you have!
Thank you! I just resently got some non alcoholic wine for the 1st time. The red one is not really to my taste. I think I want to try using that with the non alcoholic version.
Bravo Beth! I love your two recipes for Sangria! I have too a recipe on my channel for Sangria, but your Non- Alcoholic version is so good, and i will give this a try because my kids love fancy drinks too, like you said. Do you know Rioja red wine? Its´so good. It´s my father´s favourite. I love your glasses! Happy weekend in California. Patricia.
Aw so glad you approve Patricia! :) I'll have to check out your recipes too! Yes we can get a very nice Rioja wine at our local grocery store (TJs has it for any American's reading this :) It's it's affordable and delicious! :)
Oh I did!!! We had a blast! I love your country :) The people were so nice, the language SO beautiful and the FOOD! Amazing! Still dreaming of those little custard tarts! :)
We were in Lisbon, Sintra and Flores Island in the Azores, which was just AMAZING! I have never seen so many flowers in one place! It was such a magical setting :) The second photo of my husband and I sitting on the stone wall was taken there :) Just incredible!
I'm not old enough to drink alcohol yet. In my country, you have to be 20 years old to drink alcohol so this would be good for my parents. I could make the non alcoholic version for some of my younger cousins (and my sister *wink wink*). Thanks for these recipes!
Oh sure you could do apple + cranberry or Orange+Grapefruit+Cranberry or Apple + Cherry. Really the key is to pair a sweet juice with a little bit of a tart juice, and if there's at least 1 red juice in there it will also "look" like a sangria :) Hope that helps! :)
Hi beth! I love the layout of your kitchen and your cutting board! I'm really not even joking but I love how spacious it is ! Its such a great idea! But I was wondering, how tdo you wash them? Are they stuck to your counter or do you take every single one to your sink and wash them? My mum is definitely going to try this recipe this summer as she loved it here in spain!!! Love Anne xo
Oh sure, they are large Boos boards that I use when prepping and then rinse, wash off when done :) They are the best! Here's a link if you are interested in buying one, they are a great investment :)www.amazon.com/John-Boos-RA03-Reversible-Cutting/dp/B00063QBDQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1405996823&sr=8-1&keywords=Boos+Boards
Exactly too sweet and hard to pair with other things like the citrus slices etc because it can be too over powering. The white grape juice a better bet :)
Ha! Thank you! Yes I passed it back in May, a real personal accomplishment :) All you guys have been SO amazing and supportive! It's really the thing that keeps me going xx
Sangría is not Portuguese! It's Spanish, and indeed it's in Spain where we make the best sangrías ;) I would recommend that as well as lemon juice, to put orange juice, it gives it an extra fruity touch!
yes yes it is! it's from Chile I believe... the one made with more mature grapes has a more sweet and velvety taste to it, however, the one made with young grapes owns a more agressive, acid taste. I was thinking about putting one with mature grapes in this recipe.. I'm not a huge fan of Merlot..
Oh sure. That's the right idea. A more mature wine mellow in flavor will work better than a younger one which would be too acidic. I'll have to look for that wine over here sounds yummy :) Enjoy! :)
Oh I just LOVED it! We were in Lisbon, Sintra and Flores Island in the Azores! Just amazing! What a side of paradise! All those flowers, were just one of the most stunning landscapes I had ever seen (The second photo in this video is from there) I also just loved hearing the language it's SO beautiful. Like music! :)
I'm glad you did! you're welcome to come back anytime! i live in lisbon, but i go on vacation in the north, you would love it! Next time try the north (Braga, Viana do Castelo, Porto, Ponte de Lima, Gerês) and the South (Alentejo - Vila Nova de Milfontes, Porto Covo, Évora). Great food too!
Hi Beth I am a 12 year old but I love cooking I have watched every single one of your video Can you please make a vegetarian food And where are the real time recipes? Thankyou

I LOVE Spanish almonds! They are super good!
Thanks for sharing your recipe!
Aren't they the best!? They can be a little pricey but I've found you can get a good deal on them at Trader's Joes :) If you live in the States?
Yep! I love Trader Joes!
I've never made the real kind before. Usually I do an instant, cheaters version by combining wine with blood orange Italian soda and dropping in some sliced citrus. That sounds really good. How much wine and water do you suggest with the half cup of sugar? Also what wine do you recommend?
I really love your pitcher. I love how you offered both alcoholic and non alcoholic versions. I might make both and set them out at a drinks table for my 21st
Isn't it cute?! :) There's a link in the description for where to get it. Came from Cost Plus and you can order it online :) Happy BDay!
You are the best Beth.
Ooh, the next episode looks sooooo good!

Oh I did!!! We had a blast! I love your country :) The people were so nice, the language SO beautiful and the FOOD! Amazing! Still dreaming of those little custard tarts! :)
Our food is indeed delicious! Which cities did you visit? Here in Oporto we have the greatest francesinhas you will ever taste :)
We were in Lisbon, Sintra and Flores Island in the Azores, which was just AMAZING! I have never seen so many flowers in one place! It was such a magical setting :) The second photo of my husband and I sitting on the stone wall was taken there :) Just incredible!
You were in the south then, you didn't have the chance to eat francesinha, but if you search online I bet you'll find a great recipe :)
The non alcoholic one looks so goooood 😍 btw: do you think you can make a vid for zeppoles ? ☺️
I'm not old enough to drink alcohol yet. In my country, you have to be 20 years old to drink alcohol so this would be good for my parents. I could make the non alcoholic version for some of my younger cousins (and my sister *wink wink*). Thanks for these recipes!
Hey Beth, I'm portuguese and your recipe seems on point! But one thing we usually do is to add a shot of Port wine. You should try it! :)
Oh that sounds great! I Love port wine :)
Hey Beth! Great video, just wanna ask, for the non-alcoholic sangria, what other juices would be a good combination too? Thanks.
-Aaron
Oh sure you could do apple + cranberry or Orange+Grapefruit+Cranberry or Apple + Cherry. Really the key is to pair a sweet juice with a little bit of a tart juice, and if there's at least 1 red juice in there it will also "look" like a sangria :) Hope that helps! :)

Aw thanks beth!!
I like the tips to differntiate the alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions :-) Why don't you use red grape juice? would that be too sweet maybe?
Exactly too sweet and hard to pair with other things like the citrus slices etc because it can be too over powering. The white grape juice a better bet :)
wow beth, when did you pass 100K?! congrats on over 115,000! :D
Ha! Thank you! Yes I passed it back in May, a real personal accomplishment :) All you guys have been SO amazing and supportive! It's really the thing that keeps me going xx
Hi Beth! Would a Shiraz be good in this recipe?
Sure a Shiraz would also be great!
Sangría is not Portuguese! It's Spanish, and indeed it's in Spain where we make the best sangrías ;) I would recommend that as well as lemon juice, to put orange juice, it gives it an extra fruity touch!

yes, you should! it's such a marvelous wine, but it's sort of underestimated here.. real shame.
