The theme of the entire letter of Galatians is how one obtains salvation. Paul reminds us that salvation comes by faith rather than obedience to the Law, so we are mindful of the superiority of the covenant of promise over the covenant of works. Tonight we pick up Paul’s explanation of how we are affected by the Law and the promise. Before salvation, we are in bondage to the law of sin. Once we come to Christ by faith, we receive certain benefits from our union with Him.
