Freeze has always been a chill dude
This is, without a doubt, one of the smartest game bosses ever. You cannot just fight him head on or use the same strategies more than once, you have to adapt, just like how he adapts his.
Yeah, it looks easier now once you realize what you need to do.
But on the first take, it was pretty awesome.
Kinda funny how Freeze one minute is like “you will die” then after Batman kicks the shit out of him he’s just like “perhaps I can help..” 🤣🤣
This fight makes me wanna see a live action Mr. Freeze in either the DCEU, the Arrowverse, or even Robert Pattinson's Batman series.
Freeze is the type of villain that is too fictional to bring on so soon. First, they start with gangsters or criminals like Carmine Falcone, Zsasz, Catwoman, Penguin,Two Face then 1st degree fictional gadgeteers like Joker, Mad Hatter, Scarecrow and finally really Sci-Fi villains like Freeze, Clayface, Poison Ivy etc. Freeze is my favorite villain and The DCEU and Arrowverse are screwed up. Pattinson's feels like Bale's. Freeze is too unrealistic for it. Unless, if they go a different direction after that

@@suryasingh9738 they are screwed because they clearly can't handle Batman. Arrowverse already has Batwoman with the discount Batcave and the Crapmobile. And Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey has established Gotham as a slightly better shithole than the Schumacher films. So yeah, they're screwed. As for Pattinson, he can to remain constant to get to a movie worthy of Mr Freeze and I genuinely don't feel that he'll stay around for a seque.
But we did get a live action mr freeze...remember...

Such a better fight on hard mode. Really forces you to use every trick available. I think you have to use 7 takedowns instead of half of them. I didn’t realise his little missile things also gave away your location to him. I just thought they were to distract and take you health down
You use 9 on hard mode or 10
Also in New game plus he takes more hits and ur detective mode is jammed which I love

What pisses me off about this scene is if freeze would’ve just given Batman the cure right there, Batman would’ve regained better strength to help him. But nah freeze gotta be a dick about it...plus pLoT I guess

One could assume Mr.Freeze would go deal with Joker himself if he actually beat Batman, though after acknowledging he can't beat Batman, he does the next best thing and Begs to Batman, also a freeze grenade as a consolation gift for the fight
It’s almost like characters in fiction act like real people with emotions and irrational behaviors. Who would’ve guessed.
I assume he thought that destroying one of the vials would leave enough cure only for the Batman and none for the Joker, who he thought Batman would save.
He probably wanted a bargaining chip to hang over Batman's head to get him to go and save Nora. Which Batman probably would've done anyway, but Victor wanted it done now regardless of whatever Joker was planning.
Freeze: "Save my wife from Joker"
Batman: *says nothing and goes towards the safe as if Freeze will just let him even though he was going after Joker anyway*

@@thenewmase If Freeze gives Bats the cure. Then Batman would have no incentive to help him. Batman’s first priority would’ve been getting the infected citizens the cure that was manufactured. He only pursued Joker afterwards because Harley took the cure he needed while fighting Freeze.
Still the best boss fight in this series (other than Deathstroke), Gotham Knights won't be able to live up to this because it was so unique using the environment and your/Batman's skills to take him down.
Tbf the deathstroke fight was also pretty amazing

For the first time playing through it, it is extremly hard and oracle takes forever to give u the schematics
I thought so too before I learned how many sneak attacks he is vulnerable to. Its a great boss fight and Freezes trash talk is 🔥
It was actually a fun boss fight though.
I beat him at the first trial. I just remember being so freaked out by him my hands were shaking while holding the controller. When I tried using the same strategy to stun him the second time I was like "Oh shit ! Go go go go go !". That makes him one of the most satisfying boss to beat since you have true difficulty as well as the obligation to adapt to his counterattacks.

I wish Nolan had implemented Freeze into one of his films. I would have loved to see his power suit and cryo gun.

He wouldn't have made any sense in that version of Batman's universe. He could have been done well in the DCEU, but he deserves better than that.
This boss fight is up there with the many great boss fights in Arkham Origin, definitely replaying Arkham City today when I get off.

I think The Batman got the Riddler right what Batman Forever could not get right. Perhaps they can do the same for Mr Freeze what Batman and Robin couldn’t do.
Not really, Arkham trilogy got him right. Maybe you liked what they did with him but that's definitely not what riddler is supposed to be.

My first time the room got so cold I couldn't glide. I was using the glide drop attack
funny thing about this is that if Freeze had simply said, "hey, I'll give you this, but only if you agree to save my wife from the joker", batman absolutely would have done it. and then freeze would have had a healthy batman going after his wife instead of a sick one.
That's what I was thinking! Freeze knows Batman doesn't let anyone die or be in danger so why didn't he just give Batman the cure so he would have a Batman in peak condition going to rescue her & than he could have said something like "I will give you the other one if you save Nora first"
Most boss fights in this game (and most games) have rinse and repeat themes with rules of three. Do the same things 3x with increasing difficulty and you win, this one forces you to do something totally different
They were just two homies that had a bad day, had a good fight, in-turn worked it out.

Freeze, what made you think you needed to blackmail Batman into saving Nora? He would have done it anyway if you just told him the situation, especially considering who the culprit is. So not only are you wasting time, you just cost Batman the cure, so now he’s at death’s door while trying to save your wife.

They overdid it with the animation. It looked better before. The battle also feels short.

Loved the fight but I hated how contrived it was since Freeze knows Batman won't let anyone die so why didn't he just give Batman the cure so he is in peak condition to go save Nora from Joker? what happened if he said "Okay fine I will save your wife than give me the cure once she is back" & when he is on his way to the the steel mill or in it he passes out or dies from the poison?.
The women, I know in my life, have hot flashers, they need Mr Freeze suit.
