I totally agree about speaking in tongues, but there are so many Christian’s who speak in tongues but they don’t have the power. I have been asking God what are we missing. I know that we need to take up our cross and follow Jesus.
The number 1 benefit of receiving The Spirit of God is NOT empowerment. The first and fundamental fruit is that He, The Comforter, even The Spirit of Truth, shall MAGNIFY/GLORIFY/UNVEIL THE CHRIST OF GOD IN YOUR HEART. And the secondary is that He, The Spirit of The Lord shall be seen and heard and experienced (power) through you. The Grace of our Lord Jesus, the love of God, and the communion of The Spirit is with us all. Amen.
