For me personally… it’s HARD to say (no pun intended) since I’m a legend at this game and have beaten it between approximately 1,000 and 2,000 times, BUT, in my early days of playing the game I had the hardest time against the Hunter, since she’s constantly on you, popping out of vents or egg sacks, as well as climb over the ship’s bow.
The Brute’s typically considered the easiest as he’s the easiest to avoid, however, his footsteps are hard to pinpoint and when in chase he’s just barely slower. Tip: don’t bother locking doors on him. He’ll just pow straight through them, which unfortunately you learned the hard way.
The Fiend is kinda the middle ground since it has the lighting aura radius so once you realize that you’ll know it’s on the same floor as you and not that far. Be careful when you’re on or near stairs when against the Fiend, as it can easily get the drop on you because the lights won’t start flickering until it’s officially on the same level as you.
