It’s zany fun and full of witty jokes that harken back to the lovable dry humor of Animaniacs and Rocky and Bullwinkle! I enjoyed this rendition of Beetlejuice when I was a kid and was my first forays into children’s horror. The first is Scooby doo, courage the cowardly dog and Billy and Mandy!
I loved the show as a kid. I don't know if you're familiar with the Broadway musical. I feel like the Musical version of Beetlejuice strikes the middle ground between the antagonist from the movie and the quirky buddy from the show
@@JaceyFlicks the musical was shown in México (monterrey city) from August 21 to 25 so check if there was a tour and if they have presented in your city I watched it and was amazing Beetlejuice was the actor Justin Collette but he did an amazing job I couldn't stop laughing
The series as I see it is actually quite a nice adaptation of Astrid Lindgren's "Karlsson-on-the-roof" books, with Lydia fulfilling the role of Little Brother(though the original Beetlejuice is already much like Karlsson in terms of personality, only lustful and with murderous instincts, so when they toned him down for the cartoon, this is what they got).
It's nice to find all the folks who enjoyed what I did growing up. Never thought I would but at the same time it isn't as if we are all hanging out together, not exactly. I keep thinking Lydia's voice was also that of Sailor Mars/Raye in the sailrmoon show but I am too lazy to look it up. Thanks for making this!
No problem! Yeah, childhood memories are the best 👌🏼 and I specifically wanted this channel to be about underrated films and shows that many don’t talk about or that I grew up watching!
I'm able to do the voice of Beetlejuice and Im wondering if I could voice segments of your show as the character as well as other horror icons you cover
Like the old school animated series, love the first movie. I just seen the second one and it was silly and goofy. Silly and goofy depending on the your point of view. Can be good or bad. It falls in the middle for me. How are you doing and how was your weekend?
I love this animated series! I liked the sequel to the movie 🎥 but definitely not as good as the first one for sure. I’m doing good this weekend, how are you?
Have you seen “Beetlejuice The Animated Series”? 🤔 What do you think of it?

Great show!
Remember this show as a kid, great gem of a show.

I’ve never seen the broadway musical, but I’ve heard it was good! I’ll look for clips online and keep an eye out to see if it is ever shown again 👀

Love that comparison! 👌🏼 You can definitely tell with the tone in what we got.

@@JaceyFlicks Also fun to find out you hadn't seen the film first. I'd wondered what effect that might have on someone and found out it was all good.
@@DWor- It definitely made me see the film as “darker” or more heavier, but I loved both for sure!
@@JaceyFlicks Me too. I was worried about Keaton reprising the role (safety issues) but it looks like it all turned out splendidly.

Always open to accepting new creativity or voices on my channel man!
I watched the cartoon when it was on cartoon network I had no idea that the cartoon was from the 80's I watched it on 2004
That’s how much of a classic it was! 👌🏼

Gotta say it makes me uncomfortable hearing you call him BJ lmao
Lmao trust me, I didn’t like calling him that while recording but they did in the cartoon so 🤷🏻♂️ lol
