Why no reference to Daniel? Daniel lays out the timeline simply. First the daily (activities?) is taken away. 1290 days later the abomination of desolation is set-up. 1260 days later, the big rock falls out of the sky and the beast comes out into the open and so begins the great tribulation. 1260 days later, messiah returns.
God warned us to watch the eastern sky.. According to Herbert W. Armstrong, Armageddon was supposed to happen in 1975, I guess he was wrong.
Yes people can make mistakes of many things in time, but remember people are only human. However in time, people learn from their mistakes, to NOT repeat those same mistakes while others do NOT. I feel people can learn by God correcting them as in Armstrong's case as well as God's Church, or sometimes learn by doing more research as correcting their errors.

Maybe I do NOT, but you can't blame Armstrong all the way when people are at fault too, for NOT studying deeply in God's Word as checking things out deeply through resources. People need to correct others, than blaming others: this is called "Learning life's lessons" by learning from our own mistakes as others in life and growing from it, to make one better. We all have made mistakes in our life, no one is better than another. I know from my life, I was really hurt at a church I was in before, deceiving me, but as I was looking at it closely, it was actually my fault, for I wasn't doing my Bible Study and research (History, Concordance, Dictionaries, etc.), but I forgave them as corrected them and moved on. I have heard other churches/people doing kind of the same thing by giving dates on rapture, or Christ's coming, etc.,so what is the difference? You are saying that these people are NOT countable for their actions, they are too, but have they learned, or are they still setting dates? Instead of pointing fingers at this one or that one, one needs to forgive and teach others their faults, that is growing up as looking at oneself too, to improve oneself.

Pray that the Lord finds you in his favor to be alive for the Rapture. If you were born after May14th, 1948 there's a good chance if you live long enough you'll see the Rapture.
