IITs are mainly focused for BTech/BS courses if he/she isn't selected in JEE I would say go for IIMs if you're placement oriented! I am saying because I am a BTech student at IIT Madras.
Mam please share the story of those students who have done btech in core branches and current got placed in core or non core sector from iit Bombay. Mam all due respect but please, if you bring those students from cse then it will not give the clear idea of placements.

Don't come to IIT kanpur. Here placement is totally control by SPO. They kick you out or settle your interview at the last if you are from MTech or not friend to them. No professor listen to it. They have given clean chit to BTech 3rd year students as SPO to do whatever they want in placements. 🙏
