I recently purchased a coloring book from the same used book outlet you bought the Art Deco from. Mine was also listed as very good but came with three colored pages. I didn't complain because i thought they would tell me I bought it used. The person who colored the pages was pretty heavy-handed with water based markers. I used co,ored pencil over the top and they turned out better than i thought they would. My plan was to use clear gesso on then and use paint or somethi g if the pencils had not worked. Good luck! I actually enjoyed "fixing" the pages.
Thank you for the tips! I really need to get some clear gesso. I've been reluctant bc I heard it wears down the tip of your pencils fast (and I hate sharpening 😆) Enjoy your make over! ❣️
You popped up on a ROKU recommendation and I'm so happy to find a new Crayola loving person. Being disabled I sent my hubby out to Walmart to search for the new Twistables and I love you made a Twistable playlist. So happy to find a new, to me, UA-camr who finds joy in products outside the $$$ aisle.♿👵🎨 Barb N.
Try and see if workable fixable or maybe satin glazing liquid works on the coloured pages. Put a layer over it and you can do your own thing over their work. Do a test on some spot of the book or other books before going all out with this method.

I will try fixative, ty! I actually have some of that. I looked at satin glazing liquid online and it was $20 for a small bottle 😳
