Thank you for breaking down the concept that everyone just explains as "well it's a 1 for 3" or "it's not good math", hopefully I can finally win a game!
Just getting in to FaB and this is an extremely helpful video. It would be awesome if you did more videos presenting a scenario to try and find the most optimal play. Alot of Chess websites have daily puzzles to find the best moves and i think it would be a neat idea for a game like FaB. Thanks for the content!
Awesome man! I'll show this to my local community, this kind of video is very useful. The only thing i missed was math at the End Game, like maybe you have 8 points of offesinve value in your hand and 16 defensive and your opponent is threatening 36 but they are at 1
Hey Majinbae, I've been watching you for a while back when you played LoR. Just wanna say your video on FaB heroes got my friend and I into the game, and it's been a blast! Thanks to you, i have a new addiction and am patiently awaiting my Azalea deck in the mail to go to my first local.
I recently have been trying FAB out (because of you), this content is very helpful, thank you so much! This game is so hard... for now. With teacher Majin it will be easy in no time I'm sure.
Thankyou so much for introducing me to Flesh and Blood! I went to my first locals yesterday to meet players and watch some games. They ended up walking me through my first match! It was a ton of fun and i ended up buying some blitz decks to play against friends for now!
Wanted to drop in to say that we had our first new player at armories last night specifically mention your videos as to why they wanted to check out FaB! So keep the content coming haha
Super helpful video! This is something a lot of players figure out in their own way, but it's helpful to remember you can always just literally sit and do the math. I tend to fly by the seat of my pants too much lol
This is the best video I've come across for explaining value. There are a lot of videos that overcomplicate it but this has really helped me understand what value means in a practical sense. Thanks!
This helps a lot I only started playing like a month ago (started with the Part the Mistveil prerelease) and I now had two games against Nuu in CC where just turn one 13 damage and I tried to block as much as possible and then for the rest of the game I didn´t get a foot down also I never thought about pitching your good cards so you can draw them later for big turns so thank you
This is super helpful stuff! Took me longer than I would carry to admit to realize how important basic math was to structuring my turns. It seriously makes the game make so much more sense.
This was a nice video and it was smart on your part to present this information the way you did. It would be interesting to keep diving deeper into examples of this with various classes and lines because this is where the theory can go. Trying to evaluate various on hits, value of combo turns and when to preserve life total in mid-range matchups.
Good video, although this math is why I am not fully priced into people saying FaB is harder than MtG. Your hand and what your opponent is doing gives you pretty clear mathematical best move. MtG doesn't give that guidance usually. The mathematical best move probably exist, but it is harder to figure out, and is probably a guess in most cases unless lists are open.
The math gives you a baseline to start from. Then the nuance and context enters the equation. I'm not going to say one game is more complex than the other, just don't want people to think that FaB is only math
I wish you would have mentioned "break points" and equipment. Every card "on average" is worth 3. Either 3 block or 3 attack. Attacks for 6 and costs 1 card ( atleast ) as a resource. So 2 card 6. You spend CnC and they block with 2 cards. 2 for 2. BUT if CnC takes a card. That's "on average" 3 more points. So that's a 2 card 9! You are "up a theoretical card". Which means blocking CnC with 2 cards is actually worth 3 cards ( kindof ) Back to break points. If you can get CnC to swing for 7 ( might token as an easy way ). Now 2 cards doesn't stop the hit effect. That's bad. ( for you ) and GOOD ( for whoever is attacking for 7 ) Break points make the math complicated for the blocker, but can be mitigated with Armor. You block 2 cards and armor for 1 you used your armor which may not be worth a whole card inherently, to Save a card. ( blocked for a theoretical 4 )
I'm not super-experienced at the game, but it seems like calculating the value of your entire hand is more important than maximizing the value of a specific card. Card advantage doesn't exist in the same way as in Magic, because you draw up to full after attacking--you're trying to actually spend as many cards as you can, unless (as Majin noted) you're in a fatigue situation. But also I feel like he did touch on breakpoints, he just used Spinal Crush as his example instead of CnC. His basic point on equipment is that you want to use equipment to hit the break points that prevent on-hit effects from activating.
I am new, where is the first resource point coming from or is this just abstract? Oh they are zeroes. Lol. Thanks for this! Coming from MtG and liking the game so far
I'm learning the game and this video helped me a lot. I play Blitz and I got a question, when is better to attack with my weapon than my attack action cards?
When the value of attacking with your weapon and using the extra card to block with is greater than the value of the attack. This is highly contextual because of on hit effects and how the arsenal comes into play
No because you are attacking for 12 and not for 10 even if C&C hits. Losing the 2 damage from arsenaled head jab is already taken into account because otherwise the number would be 14 not 12
As a new player, using acronyms in these tutorial slides is tough. I don't know what an AB3 is. While many players will know that, I feel like those that do, probably don't need to watch this video.
Please ignore the awkward cut in the middle lmao
Watching that live was some of the funniest moments.
over 9000!!!!
I'm only here for the cut.
LFG there cannot be enough FAB content.
The extent of my experience in FAB is your storytimes and idk why I’m still watching this but I am :)
He made me rly want to play. Unfortunately the game is so complex and no one wants to play with me in person lol. 😢
@@bobblade2681talishar is a sim you can use for online play. Everyone uses it

I'll take 36, go to 1 😊
People attack for 36?

Thank you so much for this video, a lot of content creators just say do the value play. Very good showing what you mean by value.
Nice video! Appreciate the blunt and concise approach (really)

Congrats it’s the best TCG ever

Thanks for making these videos! Ive had a few people want to get into the game and chat with our LGS because of you. Seriously, thanks!!

Good stuff. I'm a Prism main so often ignoring math almost entirely, though empyrean matchups are very mathy.
I'm just starting FaB and this was super helpful!!!
Nice!! I’ve been waiting for a video like this to share with new players. Thanks man
Thank you so much for this video. Just started the game and it really helps understand what is the best play.
Nice, I want more of this kind of video

FAB-ulous breakdown of value math!

More FAB content huge!

finally some high quality FAB content

Wizard and Illusionist use Girl Math 🎉❤
love me some FaB content from you
This video was great for new players. Kinda odd that the Wizard main had to explain block value though.
Hey im new to fab. Do Auras from Enigma for example block the 2 Dmg from Reckless Swings or the 1 damage from Run Into Trouble?
I'm learning the game and this video helped me a lot. I play Blitz and I got a question, when is better to attack with my weapon than my attack action cards?
When the value of attacking with your weapon and using the extra card to block with is greater than the value of the attack. This is highly contextual because of on hit effects and how the arsenal comes into play
@@MajiinBae I get it now, this is very helpful. Thanks for the answer and keep making this kind of videos c:
thanks for this video
For example 2, would you net the points lost to losing life and losing a card to C&C? So 12 - 6 - 2 = 4
No because you are attacking for 12 and not for 10 even if C&C hits. Losing the 2 damage from arsenaled head jab is already taken into account because otherwise the number would be 14 not 12
We need more Bae TED TALK 😊
I dont play or understand fab but im still here.
Can we get an intermediate class next??

Only 20 min? I can't learn anything if a video is less than 1.5 hours smh lol
Next time, next time
Look you just have to play the video five times in a row.
YEY, MORE MAJIN
This is why playing guardian is easier 😂 compare attack vs block, that’s pretty much it most of the time . Counting your weapon etc
👌🏾
I thought this was very good stuff. My question is...... can you give an better example of the second slide? with all cards that can attack and block.
I’m shit at maths, but im ok it’s heuristics. Should I give up Fab?
Keep playing
Your heuristic is send big attack, block with everything else lol
@@MajiinBae yeh that’s pretty much it
Noice
but math hard
I wish I could play this game but there is zero support where I am for this game, so I sit on a sim .
