Because they were having problems with Corn. Corn flipped Jesse's mom off when she was just joking around with him, and it wasn't a playful like "haha" middle finger, it was like a spiteful, pissed off one. Then, the day they were leaving for Switzerland, He texts Jesse saying he's not coming. It was just so disrespectful to the whole family who brought them into they're home, and treated him like family.
and not just that, kept demanding more pay when he was getting paid like 3k a month. and also kinda dumb of him to turn down a free trip to both Switzerland and vidcon, just to stay with a girl

The psycho series is better than 90% of the shows UA-cam makes. The ridgeway family are such good actors. Jesse has such a supporting family since the fact that a lot of his family members were willing to be in the series. Also this series is so special since it last a couple of years.

I remember when I first watched the Finale and hearing Jesse yell "YOU MADE ME THIS WAY" made my heart drop and made me think about the whole series and I teared up knowing this was the end and then *bang* it literally made me cry. Such an amazing series. Such an amazing and we'll planned ending as well.

I truly miss it. I can 100% say that the psycho series in a while was better than any movie or TV show series that I have ever seen in my whole life. Not joking. I can't believe Jesse got so many unsubscribers. He's such a creative story-teller, and its a shame alot of his fan base was too dumb to appreciate it. I knew it was fake right off the bat, but I still enjoyed the entertainment and got into the story. The last few videos in the closet and the finale of the Pyscho series really impressed me how talented of an actor Jesse is.
For me, I was 16 when this came out. I think I felt a little betrayed in a way, like he lied to all of us, which technically they did. But recent years I came back to this channel with a different mindset and realized this is actually really a masterpiece. Being young, I had just gotten to the channel during the time they were fixing up aunt Jackie's house, it really just seemed like he was the typical UA-cam vlogger with insane family drama, so yeah I believed it lol.
Corn quitting and bailing the way he did was shitty, however:
The Psycho Series began with Jeffrey filming his brother Jesse flipping out as his father destroyed his console. I feel like this finale was so much more special and as Jesse called it: "poetic", because it all came back to Jeffrey filming Jesse in the very last videos of the killing and fleeing the country. It all came back full circle in so many ways with this series. It's a beautiful thing. Screw Corn, Jeffrey stepped up huge and it was meant to happen.

That unseen shot of Jeffrey crying while holding a camera? I like to imagine that following Psycho Dad's death and funeral, Jeffrey moved back into the house, maybe to keep it under the family name. One night after doing so however, he remembered his dad, maybe from beers in the fridge or something. From this, the then remembers his dad's gardening equipment, safe, and so on. Haunted by the memory of his dad, Jeffrey withdrew to his office on the verge of tears, picking up his own camera and staring at it with the internal thought of "Dad is dead! Our whole family's torn to pieces! And all because of this thing! Just so we could get e-fame for a few minutes more!"

We know now that Psycho dad Survived the gunshot wound. According to Solomon in My Virtual Escape, that Psycho dad gave Solomon the gun that shot him, because it made him to angry to look at.

You can really see Terri's eyes struggling to hold back the tears in the reaction to psycho kid flees country. Without Juliette's song it wouldn't have been anywhere near as powerful as it was. Like nobody would have cried at the end of Marley and Me if it didn't play the sad music. Same with this video.

This was an amazing series. By far one of the best ones kept in secret to deploy a realistic viewpoint. That is very impressive. My emotions were tied from day one. I felt the emotions, and the ending made me very emotional. This has been a wonderful ride.

Everybody take note of 36:50. Jesse says that he never wants to touch the characters from the Psycho Series again or give them a sequel. That's a clear indication that THE 2017 SERIES IS NOT A DIRECT SEQUEL TO THE PSYCHO SERIES!
Here's my analysis/prediction for the 2017 series.
PART 1: The Snapper Series
The Psycho Series is over, and Jesse doesn't know what to do with his UA-cam channel. Making videos has become his life, but the life he lived in his videos wasn't the real life of Jesse Ridgeway. Jesse seriously fears that his normal life is too boring for people to watch, so he becomes obsessed with living as characters. Eventually the characters start to take over Jesse's mind until he loses his identity and can't figure out who he is anymore. Jesse becomes desperate for people to like him, so he starts pandering to younger audiences by censoring himself. However, the characters start trying to give Jesse direction by telling him to be himself rather than who he thinks people want to see. In the end, however, Jesse doesn't heed their warning. He insists upon living as his characters, and thus Dark Jesse takes over.
PART 2: The BTS Series
In a desperate attempt to give the Juggies what he thinks they've always wanted, Jesse completely stops the flow of the 2017 series so he can focus on older content. He forces his family to react to old Psycho Series videos. At first they are willing, but eventually they become bitter about it because the Psycho Series is in the past and they want to move on. When views start dropping (THIS IS INTENTIONAL; JESSE SAID THIS WAS AN INTERACTIVE SERIES, AND OUR "LACK OF INTEREST" IS KEY), Jesse realizes that people don't actually want the old BTS, so he puts it on his "Pyscho Series" channel and commits to doing something new.
PART 3: The Prankster Series
Jesse Ridgeway has a normal, loving family, but he realizes that nobody wants to watch that. Jesse got views when he was the psycho kid because people enjoyed watching his family break apart. Consequently, Evil Jesse starts craving dysfunction. In an attempt to break his family apart, Jesse starts antagonizing them and testing their limits. This leads to the next part of the series...
PART 4: The Alcoholic Series
Jesse realizes that his family cares about him no matter what he does. He starts to grow depressed because he realizes that he can't make the Psycho Family his reality. He starts drinking his problems away, but people keep sticking by him no matter what. That's why he keeps saying "you're not supposed to care about me." This is true not only of his family, but also of the Juggies. Even though he's acting like a no-life slob, the Juggies keep watching him. He intentionally gives the appearance that he has no idea what he's doing, and the series becomes somewhat painful to watch. But this is to prepare for the next part of the series.
PART 5: The Sequel Series
Jesse goes to New York for the release of his documentary. His fans love it, so Jesse becomes obsessed with creating a sequel. Just like before, however, Jesse doesn't have a vision. Even though his family reluctantly agrees to help, Jeffrey tries to wake Jesse up by quitting. Jeffrey tells Jesse that he's living in the past and that he can't keep beating a dead horse; if he wants to create a new series, he can't reconstruct the same dysfunctional family he's been writing about for years. The series is over, and a new one needs to begin. However, Jesse isn't willing to accept this, and he starts becoming hostile to the rest of his family because they aren't as passionate about the new series as he is.
MY PREDICTIONS FOR THE FUTURE:
As the family begins to resist Jesse's new series because he doesn't have a vision, Jesse becomes controlling. He starts to dominate the family and drive them apart with his obsessive directing. Eventually, Jesse becomes the person his old character hated the most: Psycho Dad.

Jesse Ridgeway returns to the world. Eventually a rush of emotion just comes one day and he loses control over himself. Isaac and Psycho Kid has him lose control. In doing so, he turns into The Devil
PART 7: THE DEVIL/CREATOR
The Devil goes crazy and decides to do what jesse does. However, somebody called Michael McCrudden creates a video which down shames Jesse. Jesse flies to Toronto and fights him... Its the creators dying days now
PART 8: THE MJN CAMERA MAN AUDITIONS
In an attempt to hide his true intentions, The Devil creates a competition for the juggies. The mjn camera man auditions. However, during the phases, a mysterious figure appears with a mirror on his face. He shoots the devil. The Devil says that the last person alive will be the cameraman, and he fucking means that...
Part 8: THE DEVIL OUTSIDE
In an attempt to have his creation, Isaac, have the spotlight the devil kills one of the cameraman auditioners. And he kills every last creation of jesse with the help of psycho dad. Jesse returns and is the mirror man. The Devil has forced Jesse to make Isaacs story. So he does.

If I had wrote the ending of the series, I would have it all be a dream. Jesse wakes up to the first episode of the series, and it all starts again, but this time Jesse is awestruck to find out that the Mom is actually the Psycho. Plot twist.

I love the ending to the BTS, Jesse just getting emotional, saying that he worked so hard and now it's over, then saying "See ya guys". Simple, quiet and a bit sombre, just Jesse and the camera coming back into his normal life, that's it. Perfect ending, well done mate!

I remember watching the Psycho Series when it was still being made. The first Psycho episode I watched was "Psycho Dad Chainsaws Xbox One", and I thought it was 100% real. When I found it the series was scripted, I wasn't mad or sad, I was extremely amazed by the acting and camera work. The series was amazing to watch from start to finish.
Jesse's reaction to his own video in this video looks so freakin intense and so serious! He's like so Intensely watching his video. And that was freakin hilarious when Jesse in Psycho Kid kills father said "You're gonna film just like freakin Corn would." And then Jeffery grins and looks right over at Jesse and then so does everyone else! Hahahaha! Because we all know what actually really happened with Corn...because he actually didn't film the Switzerland vids!
After this i rewatched the psycho kid flees country video and tbh it made me cry, all the memories i had watching the series every single day a new video came out. I've watched for a few years now and jesse even followed me on twitter after i won the last giveaway of the psycho series. And during the series my parents divorce happened very soon after his parents were divorced in the series and jesse helping me through just by replying with a single phrase i'll never forget "Hang in there, man" so i pushed through. Too many damn memories of this entire thing makes me wanna go back to these times and makes me sad rewatching it since my brother and mom moved across the country this series holds strong memories with my family. You impacted me on an extreme level in my childhood and i can never be more greatful than i am now for your work. Thank you for making these past few years the best of my life and the memories will always live on. Thank you jesse for helping me through the hard times you will always be the best youtuber out there.

Haven't watched this in ages, every single time I come back to it though the hug between Jesse and Jeff makes me cry, full on.. Can hold it together but as soon as the end of that comes on where the camera flips..thats it😂

I remember where I was for both Psycho kid kills father and flees country. When you killed you're dad I was walking into my room waiting for the end of the series then it popped up in my feed. I watched it with anxiety because I knew he was going to die for a while now. When Psycho kid flees country I was walking around my living room watching it on my phone then when the monologue started I was helping my mother cook her taco meat while she was doing something. Then it happened and I felt emotional because I knew it was over and the heartships that Jessie was going through. I loved the series my dude keep up the amazing stuff. =D
I have so much to say but it'll become a book 📖. The psycho family watching their own master piece can feel the emotions because they know it's been hard work. Great work Jessy. We all love you. Keep up the hard work.

The ending when Jesse tries to commit it makes me remember all the recent times that I’ve tried to but when I saw jesses dad laying with a suit on it made me cry the most it reminds me of my mum who died and it’s so heartbreaking but the acting in this is fucking amazing good job Jesse
As a Mom myself my heart went out to your Mama. Even though she knew it wasn't real it must have been so hard to see you like that. Every Mom's worse nightmare for sure. Awesome job Jessie it was an amazing ride.
