The décor looks like the 80's throwback, however that view, my god it's heaven!
Yes it has an amazing view from all levels.
The decor is the least of your worries. If you can afford it - getting rid of those furnishings is an easy thing. I would definitely give them away if I could afford to buy the property and then I would modernize everything position
Same thing me a say. I love the home but the furniture taking me back to the Georgian era so the furniture gots to go for me

The house is beautiful. Reminds me of an estate. The decor is the least. That can easily be changed. I'm in my 40s and I love the estate/villa concept. Clearly the (wealthy) people who own it, have had this home through several generations...you can tell by the location, decor, books, closet hangers and the toilets. They probably are elderly or deceased now and the heirs are passing it up. So that's why it looks like the 70s and 80s.
Excellent property and presentation as always. I wish some people in the comments section would learn that its the build quality, location, current condition of the property, purchase value and infrastructure including access to utilities that are the important considerations when buying a house and not the superficial things like the décor and staging! These people are easily swindled!

You are correct. An example of superficial staging was the reading room with all the books out of reach. Wooden flooring etc., not the best material to use and maintain in a tropical climate. The location of such an investment is very important and there must be more of an incentive besides looking at the ocean in a 3rd world country.
I know that neighborhood quite well. It is really a premium upscale community. Very quiet. It worth every cent of the asking price...beautiful
I would buy it for air b and b upscale rental, the kitchen could use a remodeling.

Loving the outside....what's the Architect's name?
The interior is a bit dated but this property will hold value and can be easily retrofitted with some more modern amenities and outdoor features.
My house has to have a lot of veranda space and ocean views...so I love those features...

Hi Sarah, very nice job on the house tour. I was able to visualize the home properly by the way you used the camera and your description. You can tell the older design of the house which is quite interesting with the many "other rooms" and sitting area - definitely need some modernization but very charming. What year was it built? You said 24 hour security, is it in a gated community? What the HOA cost? Does it comes with golf course membership or optional? Thanks
Thanks for your feedback Donovan. I agree the house has a lot of charm and it can be tweaked to a more modern aesthetic if desired. It was built in 2002. The house was designed to be in keeping with the Georgian-style architecture of the Rose Hall Great House, which is a national historic site. It is a gated community. Presently the HOA fees are US$200 per month. This does not include the golf or beach club membership. I can email you some more information if you'd like to share your email address.

The entire Caribbean is beautiful, but it’s like the way you view your child... you know you’re a little biased in thinking they’re the best, but you can’t help it because of the love you feel for it and the precious memories that are intertwined. @@MrWhitevader I'm English born of Jamaican patents who them selfs have grandparents and great grands from Cuba, Panama, & Barbados. Of those the only nation I've never seen is Panama which is central America.
I've also travelled to The Bahamas, and my sister has been to these and St Kitts also.
I speak from a general consensus among any neutral travelled individual, Jamaicas flora in its diversity is unmatched in any other Carribbean Island, this is fact, not a flight of fancy or hope.
This same density of flora gives Jamaica the richness on the eye that few if any of the islands can match consistently over a like for like area of land. Even more so in the mountainous regions.
As a Jamaican first and foremost, and a proud Caribbean, I don't need to invent or brag about a thing in life. It is what it is.

Hi Tasha, thanks for your feedback. Like every city or metropolitan area in the world, Montego Bay is not without crime. However, the crime experienced here is concentrated in a few small areas and hardly ever includes foreigners. Most of us just avoid these areas and go about our business. I’ve lived in a Montego Bay for most of my life and I personally am more scared of the thought of living in the US... it’s all relative. The best advice I can give is to talk to people who have lived or visited Jamaica frequently to get their first hand opinion and then compare your findings to your destination wishlist to make a decision that works for you. 👍

If only you could have seen yourself how everyone adored you as a baby !!! I have been in England and Europe for quite a long time but without a doubt I will be back to see that little district of Montpelier where I enjoyed much of my childhood
