The Indian restaurant story: My favorite of all time was the waitress who told the insanely rude customer, "You can say anything you want about me. But just keep in mind, no matter what you say or what you do, I'm going to be all alone with your food for at least five minutes," and then walked away.

Yeah, and - if there are cameras or attentive witnesses - you can push them over the edge with gentle, clearly innocent, nudges: "Ma'am, is there an emergency number where we can reach your caretaker or nurse?" or, of course, "Sir, this is a Wendy's".
Oh, I feel for the fire investigator! Two months ago we had an electrical fire in the generator room at the supermarket I work at. All of the employees are trying to help the customers out of the darkened store, when one guy wants to go back an buy tomatoes. We're trying to tell him that he has to leave the store because of a fire. He says he'll leave after he checks out. This is when one customers actually said what I was thinking. "There's a FIRE, you asshole! There's no power so you can't get checked out! Leave your cart and get your f*****g ass out of the store!" He's a regular customer, and we still have a laugh about it.
My parents were in their 40s when I was born. I was definitely an “oops”. Anyway, I got used to being around older people and helping them with whatever. My mom would lend me out. I hated it when I was a kid, but as I got older, I realized how appreciative and awesome these people were. Most lived on a fixed income and would still try to pay me. I didn’t want to hurt feelings, so I’d ask for something to eat to which they always happily obliged. Fixing a leaky faucet may not have been a big deal to OP or his buddy, but it was to the elderly lady. Props, OP!
🤣 Imagine foreign Karen visiting some country, Germany for example. And then visiting some "Good old German" Restaurant, with over 95% GERMAN costumers, so is this Karen assuming that ALL those Germans work there? Because, it's a German Restaurant and they are German? It's so insane to me, how dumb some people can be! Like, how many brain cells have to be offline to think sth like this?! Firstly: why would OP not serve Karen, if OP would work there? It makes NO sense for an employee to just not serve a costumer! They would lose their job, if they act like this. Secondly: HOW in heavens do these people think, that every ethnic people works in an ethnic restaurant! Like, it's not even possible that every existing ethnic person works in an ethnic restaurant! I actually have a counterstory to this. Some years back, my wife & I frequented this one particular Mexican restaurant. Then, one day we decided to go eat Chinese. We walk into the Chinese restaurant, and who do we see sitting at the bar and eating? Four workers/servers from the Mexican restaurant. We stare at them. They stare at us. Then one of them goes, "Hey, even we get tired of Mexican food now and again!"
If Karen was correct, that would imply that each and every Indian restaurant have a staff of over a BILLION employee. Also, that each and every Chinese restaurent ALSO have a staff of over a billion.

I had that when working as a console operator, customer, who had just pulled in and upto the pumps, came immediately to the window telling me there was a bad smell of gas, so I did a quick threat assessment as I grabbed both my cellphone and the store phone, and before opening the door and stepping outside, on doing so immediately smelled the gas. So immediately step to the side of the door where the emergency stop button, thanked the customer and told him to evacuate to the staging area in the carpark of the tire shop across the road and proceeded to dial emergency services on the store phone. Oh no, this guy now wanted me to start his pump up and while I was being connected to emergency services proceeded to then start shouting at me for ignoring him. Due to his shouting the operator immediately connected me to police in my state, I live in Australia so you get asked by the operator Police/Fire/Ambulance along with which state unless calling from a landline then it brings that number up telling them the state, though they still ask for state. Well being connected to the police I quickly informed them I have a fire emergency and gave them the address and to also send a unit to deal with the crazy one. Well this guy went to go back and get into his car, but found I was following him and telling the cops I will be stopping this guy from starting his car. Before anyone says that wont cause a fire, sorry, combustion engines do use sparkplugs and one thing you dont do in the case of a gas leak is start your engine, if there has been enough gas buildup around that engine it will set it alight. Same goes for big, or even small, fuel spills around the car, its the vapors that catch alight. Also, one of the company sites did catch alight after someone had started their car and went to move it from near a gas leak. Anyway, long story short, this guy did stop when I informed the cops I would stop him from leaving and by that point cops had arrived and moved him back, fire fighters arrived couple minutes after while I was on the phone to the night supervisor. Turned out there was a leak coming from the above ground 7500L LPG tank, was only around half full at that point. We found someone had backed into the safety railing earlier that night in a utility vehicle and had steel posts hanging out the back, just long enough to ding the end, just enough to put a small crack into it. Luckily small enough to put a patch on and get a tanker in to empty.

Yep. That is a valid thing to say. Even for an employee, not knowing something isn't at all disrespectful. They could be a new hire or actually busy doing something important.
There should at least be one rule at every job that allows employees to fire back physically, or verbally without any repercussions if some AH either grabs them, or insults them. Happy New Year Fluff!
Getting your sink fixed for the price of a pair of large chocolate bars? That Little Old Lady, OP AND OP's Frat Brother scored HUGE that night... 😄😁😆😅😂🤣
Story 5: If they're 2 hours away from Narita by car, they're most likely in Shibuya or Shinjuku. There's a bunch of department stores in both areas, but more in the former than the latter. Also, karens like them are the reason why I make sure I'm extra polite while I'm in Japan.
It's also why Japan close their doors to tourists from any non-Asian in many areas of the country due to Karen/Richard's being disrespectful. However if you know Japanese and have been polite from the word go on entry to the country those places that have been closed to non-Asians will open their doors and allow you there. Many places now also have signs which state unless you know Japanese you wont get served or entry to the building. Oh, and another thing about Japan is, NEVER be late for any reservation or appointment you have made. That is majorly frowned on. This is also known before you even go there because its always in the news, especially with the rail system because even 1 minute lateness will often have the conductor and/or driver stepping out to bow and apologise for their lateness. So if you are ever late for an reservation and appointment by one or two minutes, and they havent given your time to someone else, be prepared to bow and apologize and ask for forgiveness because that is the only way to get yourself off the hook.
@@RyanthusarDon’t the Japanese typically have a strong disdain for non-Japanese Asians though? Did they close the area to non-Asian tourists or all non-Japanese people?

Fluff, a few years ago we DID have a McDonald's that experienced a fire so bad that what was left had to be bulldozed and the entire thing rebuilt from the ground up. Still, before what was left of the building was bulldozed, people would pull into the lot and wonder why they couldn't get in or no one would answer at the drive-thru.
The police in japan take their job seriously. There's no sweet talking your way out of trouble. Plus you don't want to get in trouble in a foreign country. What's a misdemeanor here (pay a fine and leave) could be a felony there (sit in jail until the trial). If you could be bailed out they may not let you leave the country.
There is an old song called Swinging On A Star. Towards the end, one of the lines goes "All the monkeys aren't in the zoo. Every day you see quite a few." My favorite version is from the Movie Hudson Hawk. This line describes these nutty people.
It's not just passports in Japan that have to be carried at all times. Even non natives who are long time residents and naturalized citizens have to carry their papers. The police will routinely stop anyone who looks foreign and request their papers. There's a UA-camr who married a Japanese woman. He had lived in Japan for many years and been a citizen for five years, but still got stopped and asked for his papers almost every day while going to collect his children from school.
In the story with the fire investigator, I hope OP took pictures and documented the interaction. How else would anyone know of the universe’s “DUR singularity” in human form?! He’s a natural legend and must be known! 😂😂
Story 1: I did my shopping when I was empleyed at a grocery store, and I had at the time a reconizable face, and karen tried to pull the "customer should be surved, first" to which I replied "I AM a customer"
The passport thing, that tourists, immigrants, non-nationals of any sort, must have their passport on them at all times, is the rule in many many countries. I was detained and taken back to my apartment in one European country, to get my passport and show the police, once. It's not by any means unique to Japan.
Where I'm from everyone, not just non-nationals, is obliged to carry some form of ID on them at all times like a (Europen) driver's license, ID card or passport. I always bring my ID card wherever I go.
That's a thing? Well, if I'm traveling I will definetly NOT take my passport with me! I have a personal ID, that's legit. My passport stays in the safe of the hotel I'm staying at! Because a stolen passport is more trouble than anything else! As long as you have a valid form of ID, be it a "personal ID" or a drivers license they can't do anything other than demanding that you come back to the station and bring your passport to them.
I probably live in the only country that doesn’t require ID to be carried (as far as i know not even tourists are required to carry a form of ID where i live)
About story 3, the Indian takeaway restaurant: I guess the stupid racist Karen never heard of Indians eating at Indian restaurants. I live in a medium-sized city in the U.S. with a large Indian population, and we’re blessed with several Indian restaurants in town. I think it’s a really good sign if Indians are eating in a particular restaurant! It means their food is really good! (I know OP said she’s not Indian.) Mmmm, papadums! 🤤
Story 4 reminds me of a video of a Karen standing right next to a burning Burger King, screaming at the staff to give her her food order or a refund, all while they're trying to tell her that the building is on fire, and she's screaming that she doesn't care, all that matters is her money or her food. Story 5 reminds me of the news stories I've read of Karens giving complaints about how foreign countries don't have English as their main language. 🙄
I was at a chain hardware store that wears a red polo shirt and khaki or jeans pants. I walked up to a man asking a question about faucets, and when I asked him which brand I should buy, he told me I should ask an employee as he didn't work there. I finally really looked at him and realized his red polo had the name of a local high school and 'P.E Dept' embroidered in white on his left chest (the school colors were red and white). I started apologizing and he laughed and said that he didn't realize how much he looked like an employee when he came in to shop. We laughed and I thanked him for being understanding, then went to find an actual employee, lol.

THe food ones I used to use this one on rude customers as they were leaving "Have you ever seen the movie Waiting (Old Ryan Reynolds movie)" , smile and tell them to have a good day or night. Now I would never actually do anything but sometimes the best way to mess with a person is to make them wonder.
I kind of hope I have a story to share someday. I've been asked nicely to help reach things down from grocery store shelves, mostly by elderly people, but they've never been rude about it. And my rudest-ever response was "I'm a customer, but okay."
Story 4 - One day after many hours at work, I drove past my very favorite fast food chicken, and saw one lane of the road filled with about 4-5 fire department trucks, engines, etc. Obviously a big mess happened. Whether it was to that place, or one of the other 5 restaurants in that parking lot, I never did find out, but the entire center was Very Closed. At no time did it occur to me to drive around the block, find one of the other entrances, and beg for food. But my mind isn't fogged by what sounds like years and years of substance abuse of one kind or another.
I have worked with people who would spit on rude customers food. Don't piss off the people making your food. I never did, but you never know who will. I have heard about worse, too.
I’ve been told to always carry my passport on me when in another country. You never know what could happen and it’s better to be safe. Also definitely keep it somewhere super secure so it doesn’t get stolen.
I love the last story. The lady didn't get all entitled on OP, and OP got someone to help her get her sink fixed. And scored extra candy bars! I always joke with family and friends that I will "work for chocolate" and they actually get me chocolate candy, cake slice, cupcake, brownie, pudding....and I love it!
S3: Ooh, so it's not too different from a chip (US)/crisp (UK). S4: Reminds me of the story of the library that was closed for renovations and the old woman who "just wants a DVD, she knows right where they are." Like, what makes you think they're even open for business right now? So yeah, sure, the average person. I guess this person is quite a bit below average if he was for real. S5: If I ever find myself abroad, and I hear someone translating into my language, and I need help... even if they are an official translator for the store, they're clearly in the middle of something; I have no right to stop what they're doing because they've helped these other people for "long enough". I'll find someone in the store uniform who's not occupied and see if they know Eigo/Inglés/Englisch.
Story 5: In Germany you are also obliged to carry an ID with you. If you don't have one, grab your passport. And in contrast to the United States, you have to show it to the cops, if they ask (many cops will also accept a drivers license). If you don't (or can't) do it , they have the right to detain you until your identity is clarified.
Take my advice when visiting Japan as tourist, you do not want to get into trouble with the law in Japan, you can find yourself paying really expensive fines and a permanent ban travelling to Japan.
last story: HD Associates are required to destroy their aprons when either leaving or getting a new one. By destroy, I mean they have to cut the strings off and cut the actual apron itself
For story #5: Don't people generally carry their passports with them at all times when they are traveling? I would keep my documents on me at all times, not leave it in the hotel room, even if I'm only going to be a 10 minute walk away from it, much less a 2 hour drive.
the ones who right away want to claim racism are so themselves. The reply line is "I'm not raciest, YOU ARE" and of course the only response to "I'm not stupid" is YES ! CLEARLY YOU ARE !
20:17 if you are going to any country, the very best thing you can do is keep your passport on you. Preferably in such a way as it can’t be lifted with something like a purse or a fanny pack. There are all sorts of fun things available to purchase that will make sure your passport is with you while you’re out and about.
Story #4, there are people out there who are THAT dense, they vote, they drive, they fly, and they are the worst people to deal with, because you either spend a lot of time repeating yourself, or getting a yelling fight. Also, the passport thing kind of makes sense, if you're in a foreign land, you should have your passport on you at all times.
Some people are so stuck in their routine that new information simply doesn't register. If something is no longer the way it has always been, they can't comprehend that and simply carry on, on auto-pilot.
Maybe OP should have said, “Well, you’re white, so go get me an order of fish and chips. You _must_ work at a restaurant that sells fish and chips. Go get me my order right now!”
With that Halloween story. One unless you take it home to customize it or you are given a departing one which is signed like a school yearbook you normally can't take aprons home. If it's dirty or damaged they give you a new one. Also just cause one works for Home depot doesn't mean they have the knowledge to fix any DIY problem not to mention aren't really allowed to just do work like that.
The Indian restaurant story: My favorite of all time was the waitress who told the insanely rude customer, "You can say anything you want about me. But just keep in mind, no matter what you say or what you do, I'm going to be all alone with your food for at least five minutes," and then walked away.
Indian restaurant story: The way Karen dashed when the police were mentioned tells me this wasn't her first such incident.
That is what I was thinking! 😂
She painfully remembered the last time... That time she got to spend the night in the cell of the local police station.
One thing I've come to learn is that when some bullies feel "disrespected" the red mist seems to descend over them and reality takes a back seat. After that they must be right and there must be consequences...reality be damned.

There are a lot of females who believe that they are queens and demand to be treated as such when in fact they are trash.

OMG, you beat me to it. I was going to say the same thing. 🤣
I was thinking the same thing but I can't can't spell his name! 😂
why are stoners such great drivers?
they wait at a stop sign and wait for it to turn GREEN!
The last one was an absolute joy to hear. Such a sweet mistake with a heartwarming ending. 💜
I love story 6 so much. It's so nice and warms my heart every time I hear something like that, I hope that you can do that more often Fluff it would be the perfect way to end these videos.
Final Story - I’m glad that story had a happy ending for both OP and that old lady.
That guy at the burgershop was definitely high and had the munchies
Story 5: If OP doesn't know, OP doesn't know. Just ask someone else, it saves a lot of hassle
Yep. That is a valid thing to say. Even for an employee, not knowing something isn't at all disrespectful. They could be a new hire or actually busy doing something important.
Story 1: Grumpy man must be the evil twin of Mr Magoo 😄
There should at least be one rule at every job that allows employees to fire back physically, or verbally without any repercussions if some AH either grabs them, or insults them.
Happy New Year Fluff!
When I worked retail, it seemed to me there should be a Customer Depreciation Day, but nobody in management liked the idea. 🤷♂️
It might be allowable legally, depending on where you live. My state allows self defense that is equal to the offense.
Honestly I wouldn’t mind an hour long compilation of super wholesome stories
LOL! I was just thinking that! 😊
Story 2: the description of that crazy lady's attire makes me wonder how OP's eyeballs didn't get burned out from how bright it was.
Story 5: Dude stole the words right out of my mouth to that Karen!
@@Ryanthusar yup and always be nice especially if police is mentioned.... You do not want to get arrested.... you really don't....
@@RyanthusarDon’t the Japanese typically have a strong disdain for non-Japanese Asians though? Did they close the area to non-Asian tourists or all non-Japanese people?
I'm Canadian, and we tend to respect other countries and get respect back...
... And then I discovered it's common for Americans who have learned this to pretend to be Canadian when abroad for better treatment. 🤦🏻♂️
@@austinriley8410 that part is more related to their pride rather than their xenophobia (who's very much real). If they can't communicate well enough in English, they prefer to avoid interacting
Story #4 that's a Here's your sign moment there.
Story 3 - I wonder how many times OP said ‘I don’t work here’ to that stupid Karen? Hopefully that woman got permanently banned from that restaurant.
"I'm a customer" may be a better answer. Keeping the words "work here" out of that first response...The ignorant filter out everything, so give them nothing to work on. After that, back away and don't engage. Forget politeness, they have. Never turn your back on them though.
Does she think Indian people never go to Indian restaurants 😂
@ I think even if OP had said that she’s a customer that Karen still wouldn’t have believed her and accused her of ‘being too lazy to work’
@@user-wh5fj6pj6m Who the hell knows what she thinks. She probably doesn’t even know what she thinks.
@@user-wh5fj6pj6m If I were a fan of Indian food, those kinds of places, frequented by people from India, would be my first choice. They'd know quality regional foods.
the fire one made me shake my head. I'm thinking this guy's elevator doesn't go all the way to the top floor. There's stupid and then there's STUPID. The last one was sweet. What a nice young man and his friend is equally nice for helping out that elderly lady
Here's a thought. Just don't be an asshole in any country and you'll probably stay out of trouble.
That is a Brilliant Thought! ❤
Sometimes, you just have to wonder how some people get out of the HOUSE without a keeper and a leash.
They would still bark at and attack strangers.
If I saw firetrucks at a half-burned down McDonald's I'd naturally assume that the ice-cream machine is out of order again
Old lady is in luck for having a plumber went by to her house during Halloween.
😁😁😁😁
Third story: the way she ran out of the store when the word "police" was uttered tells me that she and "the police" have a history together.
Everything around the holidays comes with a fat pricetag....
Finding a DarkFluff I HAVENT seen yet?
Priceless!
The worst part of having common sense is realizing it's not that common
Story 2: I applaud the gray rocking by OP in that story. I don’t know if I could do that, and it’s admirable.
I'm out of the loop. What is gray rocking?
I don't know what that is either! 😮
Story 1: I did my shopping when I was empleyed at a grocery store, and I had at the time a reconizable face, and karen tried to pull the "customer should be surved, first" to which I replied "I AM a customer"
Story 4: I'm kind of wondering how that man found the brainpower to simultaneously walk and breathe.
Story 4: what's scary is that that guy is allowed to drive a van. He's obviously completely unaware of everything going on around him.
I am still waiting for someone to say to me, Do you know who I am? My answer is Why did you forget?
Story 4: he was so hungry he couldn't think straight.
Happy New Year Fluff and Stevo! Thanks for the upload.
That last story got me. I love a nice wholesome story from these threads
Last story: nice kids. They helped a woman who needed help. 🎊🎉
Indians should eat at Korean restaurant! That's the way it is!
Story 4 - What that guy did was Peter Griffin level stupid.
As I always say...better to deal with a dense star than an explosive supernova!😂😂
Wanting a combo when there is a pile of burnt everything 🤣🤣is absolutely Kelly Bundy territory 💯💯🤣🤣🤣🤣🤎🖤🤎🖤🤎🖤✌🏽
Military dependents are GUESTS of the military. As such they have no rank or authority and can be kicked off base at any time. Their spouses are responsible for their conduct and can even be demoted if the offense is severe enough.
I love that last story. Happy for everyone. Old lady gets her sink fixed, young guys get some extra chocolate. Good feels.
Story #5 take it from me,Japanese police DO NOT MESS AROUND,and story#6 is the nicest story of this year so far!
I’ve been told to always carry my passport on me when in another country. You never know what could happen and it’s better to be safe. Also definitely keep it somewhere super secure so it doesn’t get stolen.
What good frat boys…this momma is proud of you
"You're Indian, you must work at an Indian restaurant, take my order!!!" Ok lady. You're american, so I'll take a quarter-pounder with cheese....
Some cultures used to pay in beer. In an alternate universe somewhere chocolate could be a valid currency.
I didnt know that about Japan either. Great to know for when I do eventually visit Japan.
Story 1 - Yeah that guy should’ve been arrested just for putting his hands on OP.
How the heck did the dude not realize he accused the same kid of being an employee 3 times.
@@phoebegradert9790Either he has bad eyesight and needs/forgot his glasses or he’s just dumb.
@@phoebegradert9790 Maybe has a medical condition where he cannot recall faces?
That guy must have had some form of dementia to not remember that he keeps approaching the same kid over and over
He might've been high...
Happy New Year Dark Fluff! Happy New Year everyone! ❤
First story.... What an abominably stupid idiot he was! Glad he got banned. 😮
Take my advice when visiting Japan as tourist, you do not want to get into trouble with the law in Japan, you can find yourself paying really expensive fines and a permanent ban travelling to Japan.
That last story was delightful.
last story: HD Associates are required to destroy their aprons when either leaving or getting a new one.
You gotta love a nice story aswell lol ❤❤
Story #4, there are people out there who are THAT dense, they vote, they drive, they fly, and they are the worst people to deal with, because you either spend a lot of time repeating yourself, or getting a yelling fight. Also, the passport thing kind of makes sense, if you're in a foreign land, you should have your passport on you at all times.
I have learned that when traveling, it it’s important to carry your passport everywhere, no matter the country.
I always enjoy your stories dear happy New year!
Aww, I love that last story.
Burned out restaurant: we found out on Nov 5 that millions of people can't connect the dots.
Some people are so stuck in their routine that new information simply doesn't register. If something is no longer the way it has always been, they can't comprehend that and simply carry on, on auto-pilot.
This might have the first wholesome IDontWorkHereLady story I've ever heard.
I especially loved the Japan story, those two learned a lesson
Oooh, no, that last story was the best by far! Thanks Fluff, Happy New Year to you and Stevie Boy.
Story 3: "You're [Race/Nationality], you must be working here." Some people are just that kind of racist and it's stupid
Maybe OP should have said, “Well, you’re white, so go get me an order of fish and chips. You _must_ work at a restaurant that sells fish and chips. Go get me my order right now!”
Wooo!!!! Dark fluff! Happy New Year!
Thank you!
Yay!!! Happy New Year, Fluff! - and Stevie Boy!
A wholesome 'i don't work here lady' with a bappy ending for everyone. Rare.
Love that last story.
