My compliments for your explanation! however it didn't work for me. After 4 hours of research I finally know why. The thing is your solution is about an "old" operations system (Windows 10) that cannot handle the newest Graphic Card Driver. My problem was a NEWER operations system (Windows 11 22h2) that cannot handle an "older" Graphic Card Driver. This results in exactly the same annoying flickering as in your video. THE SOLUTION here is: 1. Right-click the Start button and select Control Panel. 2. Make your way to System and Security. 3. Click System. 4. Click Advanced system settings from the left sidebar. 5. Select the Hardware tab. 6. Press the Device Installation Settings button. 7. Choose No, and then press the Save Changes button. By default the setting is YES which means that windows update is forced to AUTOMATICALLY install the OEM driver (the old one) over and over again. So you update driver from 2020 to newest driver from 2022... You run windows update BOOM here you have the old 2020 driver again. But if you switch of this automatic manufacturing restore function.. then you KEEP the newest driver, even after running the auto windows update.

Just one last step you missed, if the problem still persists after restarting, go to settings > windows updates > then let it install the display driver file It will keep flickering while it’s downloading, but let it complete first it’ll work just fine

I was able to uninstall the driver while the screen was flickering since the flickering on mine wasn't as bad as it is in the tutorial. Obviously that won't work for everyone, but you can try to do that first if your screen allows.

I have tried to roll back driver updates, I tried all the NVIDA settings, I set every resolution and refresh rates, I even reset the pc itself. The problem doesn't go away at all. It persists. @@TechieNITS No actually, I figured it out. The graphics card is the problem. It isn't functioning anymore I think. Maybe that is why!! The moment I disable it, it switches to Microsoft basic display adapter with some minor flickers here and there. I think it's the gpu.
@@LingWuLing Yes, I tried everything. I removed the external gpu parts and washed it with isopropyl alcohol and cleaned it thoroughly but still the moment I put it in, it flickers again. The external NVIDIA GPU is defunct now. I removed it and the processor's graphics is active now. That gpu had been there for 2.5 years and it is out of warranty. Now, with the internal Intel gpu, there is no flickering at all. That NVIDIA GPU was GT 1030 2 GB. Absent-minded of me to not notice that the monitor wasn't flickering when i connected it with the laptop, that's the problem. Try that if you need some help. Unplug the HDMI cable from the CPU and attach it to your laptop or something else which is receptive to it or remove your gpu and let the internal one work and see whether it flickers or not. Turns out it wasn't a monitor issue in the first place.

It can be also work when uninstall all quality updates then install updates from windows update manager then you won't get the problem The reason this problem comes is depend on your hardware or software which need to install new packages overwriting on installed updates thats the reason you get this errors
