Searched on an off for a total of 30 houra on a buck I shot that did the double leg kick with a bright red blood trail for 100 yards. Never found him, but my dad killed a similar looking buck with a chunk missing from the front knee almost a week later. Thought I had a good shot but I'm guessing he killed the same buck i shot at or not. Its super great that his buck was down though!
Brad runs the power with a 2000 watt inverter. It has an onboard charger so when he needs to draw a lot of constant power he can hook up to a generator. Thanks for the compliment, Mike!
The ultra merino 145 zip-T. Highly recommend it. The trailer Is built pretty simple. Ordered the window off Amazon, spray foam kit from menards, wired a few outlets and lights that run to a 2000w inverter hooked up to a good marine batt with an on board charger. Slapped some vinyl floor down, pine boards on the walls, and old barn steel on the ceiling. 🤘

What jacket is that you’re wearing? It looked pretty lightweight and comfy. I hunt down in the south and we’re pretty hot through mid season with an occasional cold spell. Great video though!

Sadly the ☀️ was so impressively bright in that instance you only get to see the deer mule kick after the shot as the angle of the camera dips below the skyline. I did that one time when I was 17 yrs old, ended up shooting a big nanny , had to shoot fingers on my old pse nova! 30yds 45lb draw ,nap thunderhead , gold tip arrow with feathers ! Heart shot ! the doe went 40 yds and bled like a murder scene
What a great video. It pays to look for those coyotes, crows, hawks, etc., that might be after an easy meal. You definitely bumped him off your deer. They are bad everywhere, and many people including myself have lost deer to them. Well edited and documented. Thoroughly enjoyed your hunt.

@@ChaseNationTV since highschool, I’ve edited more videos than filmed but I go on lots of adventures every year and have lots of fun, it is usually too much work to bring a camera to film by myself and I’m usually moving in on the deer im after not sitting and ambushing.

So the only meat unsalvaged was the rump roasts from both hind quarters, but the majority of the hinds came home and made it to the freezer. The coyote got away with maybe 5lbs of meat.
@@ChaseNationTV My hunting buddy kept the heart for me and set it on the buck's shoulder while he walked back to get his ATV. While he was gone a bobcat came and ran off with the heart. I saw the bobcat come under my tree the next morning.

After watching a ton of hunting videos the last few months, this is still my favorite. And I would still like to find out the name of the lady singing, if anyone knows.

Thank you! It seems UA-cam still hasn’t rendered the video to its full 4K quality. We see that it’s only playing in 360 across the mediums we’ve tested. Did it play in 1080 for you at least, or was it trapped in 360P?
@@ChaseNationTV it looks like it’s saying 360 but I couldn’t tell. Watching it on my I phone 13 pro max so it looked fine to me. I’m not that picky though so it’s not something I look for when watching vids. Hope you can get it figured out if it’s needing to be fixed. Good luck!
So Brad recovered the buck the very next morning and recovered all of the meat except for the rump roast that were eaten by the coyote. The hit was questionable, appeared slightly far back. To avoid the risk of bumping a wounded deer Brad gave it time to lay down and expire to improve the odds of recovering the animal. No meat was left behind, he packed it all in to game bags and packed it out. That is why his backpack was so heavy. We would never waste an animal.
I was wondering also how much the coyote got, we can barely see a chunk of meet when he approched the deer. The deer did not seem rigid, personnally I don’t think he had been dead that long, so the call to give it time was probably a good call. It looked like a gut shot to me, can you confirm? Good call to shoot even if the sun was shinning, excellent video. I will subscribe!

It’s very very very easy to spot a down deer in grassy areas with a drone. Within a few short minutes you would have located your deer. Congrats

No, he was dead overnight. The coyotes had gotten to his hind quarters.

Thank you! I quartered out the deer and was able to take both fronts, one rear, neck roast, and the straps. Only lost one hind to the yotis.

Thank you! It seems UA-cam still hasn’t rendered the video to its full 4K quality. We see that it’s only playing in 360 across the mediums we’ve tested. Did it play in 1080 for you at least, or was it trapped in 360P?
@@ChaseNationTV it looks like it’s saying 360 but I couldn’t tell. Watching it on my I phone 13 pro max so it looked fine to me. I’m not that picky though so it’s not something I look for when watching vids. Hope you can get it figured out if it’s needing to be fixed. Good luck!

This was in the central region of the state.
Sucks the coyotes got to it! Meat is gone! Why didn't you track after shooting the buck?
So Brad recovered the buck the very next morning and recovered all of the meat except for the rump roast that were eaten by the coyote. The hit was questionable, appeared slightly far back. To avoid the risk of bumping a wounded deer Brad gave it time to lay down and expire to improve the odds of recovering the animal. No meat was left behind, he packed it all in to game bags and packed it out. That is why his backpack was so heavy. We would never waste an animal.

I was wondering also how much the coyote got, we can barely see a chunk of meet when he approched the deer. The deer did not seem rigid, personnally I don’t think he had been dead that long, so the call to give it time was probably a good call. It looked like a gut shot to me, can you confirm? Good call to shoot even if the sun was shinning, excellent video. I will subscribe!
