Because this is ambient sound recorded with a phone. This is not sound from the mixing board. Your phone held up at a loud concert does not capture the actual sound your ears hear. Ever tried taking a picture of the moon with your phone? Doesn’t capture how your eyes see it. Same concept.
Correct, the possition relative to the speakers matters. Usually, when staying in front /on the center, a better sound is captured if you stay a little bit in the back, but, could you stay far from the stage 😂 with somebody like her on stage? I definetely won't ! I was the next night when she played with her band and I stayed on the left side just in front of speakers also in the first row, far more better recorded sound than if I were somewhere else in the hall. The key is to position the phone /microphone as closser as possible to the speakers to expose it directly to the source of the sound.
