How you put this together to be as crisp as the original recording is ASTOUNDING and the backing group are fabulous.

Kudos for this masterful performance of Cloud busting by Kate Bush. This song has been a religious experience for me each time I heard it for the past 30+ years. The Bulgarian quartet does a perfect rendition of the original. Still gives me chills and feels like the deepest prayer. Blessings and gratitude 🙏🕯️🤍💛💙

Highly recommend you try and see Cloudbusting on tour when this whole Virus pandemic is over with. I was fortunate enough to see them earlier this month in Guildford, UK and couldn't have been more blown away with how they perform Kate's numerous hit singles and many rare ones too. My absolute favourite, This Woman's Work was just like listening to Kate performing the track right in front of you. Amazing band 👍
First, I must say, very brave to do this live. Kate was ensconced in the studio to do this. And my first impression is to not like it. But it is a great effort. And the love put into it shines through. The atmospheric lights and the quiet pauses are absolutely necessary. Bravo. Not everyone is built for the touring life. But Kate embraced the studio and took the female soul to heights that no other ever did.
I don't think Kate could have matched the studio version live either. But I do like this version.
The more times I listen to this the more I realise Many Watson is incredible , she just is Kate .

This is what, in the words of the 'New Yorker' under the editorship of Harold Ross, used to be called a 'think piece'.
I have some idea what the song is about, from context on the album from which it comes, but Kate has put together a mix of words, of sounds and of songs that don't necessarily have to make sense. It's the overall impression. I do not speak the language of Bulgaria, but when the music pauses and they launch into 'Tsintskaro' ........ it's just magic. Mandy Paines, do you agree?
And when the lyrics reach " .... look at it go! .... " ....... I just fall apart. And I can't tell you why. That's ART! As Linus says, in Peanuts.
Chess Tauren the chanting is from a horror film that impressed Kate. She tried to create her own thing that had the same effect but was so entranced by the original that she gave up and contacted the copyright owners and got permission to use it.

Normally I can't see the point of covers that don't do anything different than the original and I have never heard a Kate Bush cover that I was impressed with. So how come I find this so brilliant? It's absolutely perfect. The care and effort that went into this shine out.

And the London Bulgarian Choir is also amazing. And yeah, this was back in 2015, but time has no meaning for one who is living under a death sentence, maybe a year, maybe more or less.
