Well, the name of the game is Heroes of Might and Magic 3.... There are several maps with "might only" strategy, but that's also taking away the fun from the game.
That's Skeleton farming. Basically, you gain Skeletons by defeating monsters all over the adventure maps and enemies with huge troops. And on very large maps, if you can defeat many such opponents, you'll gain that number of Skeletons easily.
