I remember this. I was the maintenance guy that asked y’all to move. 😬 I still hate that I had to do that. But you’ll be pleased to know that our campground is scheduled to be completely renovated in the next 2-3 years, so keep an eye out and come back and see us when our campsites are much nicer! (And thanks for being so cool and understanding about the tree thing)
That's so funny you found us here! It was no problem...you had a job to do 😃. We love the Pickwick area and will definitely be back. Thanks for watching and for your kind comments.
@@campingwiththecooks Well I was bored at home last night and just wanted to see if there were any videos like this. I went down a rabbit hole of Pickwick Landing State Park reviews and drive through videos and hiking videos and all kinds of stuff! Knowing what the public thinks of our park gives me a better understanding of what we need to do better.
Mark and Trish have been a huge inspiration to us as well. Good tip to ask the park rangers for tips on where to eat and what to do. The campground looks beautiful and wooded. I can see where it would be difficult to park in with a larger trailer but for smaller campers it looks nice and private. We're used to no sewer at state parks here in Michigan as well.
I use to live near Destin so your comment about Freddy T's is accurate. It did remind me of that area. Also, The Outpost has an excellent restaurant. We've eaten there many times since moving to NW Alabama.

Thanks for your feedback. We’re loving “meeting” other campers from so many other states. Look forward to checking out your channel!
@@campingwiththecooks Thank you! I hope you enjoy it. We're just getting started but we're having a blast!
