There's actually 2. First is Tinasha as most would already guessed and the 2nd appears later on in the story. I'd wager that all witches can do it but it's not like any of them would cooperate

@@foofoo3344 Well, not like that. I see your point, although tbf later it shows (from their sparing, that SHE'S strangley insistent on for some reason.... I have no idea why, although so help me if this another freakin' tragedy anime.... which it probably is, judging by the music) that even with the sword it's not 100% a guarantee (even with his skills). It's a THREAT yeah, but if she wanted to she could have stood a chance (actually from the sparring shown in the anime it looked like she would have won most of the time). Idk, I'm not going to die on this hill either, but personally I think what went through her head was something along the lines of "hmmm, that COULD be a problem... ah, what the heck, I'll just go along with this for now". Doesn't make him 100% moral with that, but I wouldn't call it a "kidnapping". The antimagic of the sword seems to be limited to a very small area (I think, don't quote me on that. We haven't had a conversation explanation of the sword mechanics specifically, so it could be more OP than I think), or at least that's the way it appeared. I will totally agree that drawing a weapon is a *little* more aggressive than most people would be nowadays though... just a bit, you know? XD
@@t3rr0talabode52 the antimagic bothers me because 95% of all mc's in every anime have it. And its just a power trip "haha im invincible!". @@arat2376 Ah, that makes sense. Yeah, I agree with that. I was watching a video on game dev talking about how "ability silencing abilities" are trash, and sort of had the same sentiment. The only way it's really interesting is if it has some sort of hard condition on it (in anime context, if you had a character/weapon that could only block certain types/only if you had hit the target first, maybe? I think the BEST example I can think of is 'Eraserhead' from MHA, just because it's shown that the enemy can get around it and also disable it through various methods.). That said, I think I understand WHY it's so popular: powercreep. Even IF the writer makes an OP villain or gradually makes the villains too strong, it's easier to say "the anti-magic still counters it" compared to making a new power for the MC or other hero. So instead of having a MC with a whole spreadsheet of powers, you just say "anti-magic" and call it a day. But yeah, that's run it's course. Need something new now. IDK what that'll be though. You theoretically COULD do something with the magic system itself, although if that's not going to be a main focus of the story I could see an argument that "anti-magic is enough". But in a perfect world, anti-magic should be replaced with some other sort of "counter system", agreed.
@@arat2376 Then I think Glenn Radars is the character that you are looking for. He has “The fool arcana” to seal magic as well, but it’s not work all the time.
