It is an old stand alone communications tower once used at my brother in law’s high school where he is a shop teacher. He had it hauled to his rural property so I could put it up. It was an 18 month project and is used for long distance TV reception. A friend controls it thru the internet.
The pole in the video was from the local power company. I was connected to the guy who handles the poles and explained my project to him. He then gave me a 40 ft used pole they weren’t planning to use. Last Spring they were replacing the poles on my road. The company contracted to do that work said I could take any pole left lying by the side of the road. I drug five 35 ft poles back to my property for later use, like a 160m full wave loop.
Let’s see the video of it being lowered and more detail on the base and how it is constructed. Great job
Wish there was information on how you built the tilting base
Wow well done! Would you mind sharing info on the tower?

@@mikeglass376 about a 100 mile max range?
@@rksg2003 Depends on conditions. Stations can be pulled in from hundreds of miles when the Troposphere creates ducts.
Where do you get telephone poles? Lumber yards don't usually sell them.

@@mikeglass376 We'll have to contact them, thanks
Where are you located? I’m in Miami and I need a tower out in the Everglades. Would you be interested in some work?
Very nice!! What are you using it for?
It is used as a TV DX antenna. When conditions are right it will pick up OTA TV stations hundreds of miles away.
question sir what are the steel (pipe, steel bar and size) that used in the tower, i would like to build one TIA and dimension of the base
I know a lot of CB and ham operators who are jealous right now
I hope a few of them feel empowered to do something similar.
