- At Tony's wedding, he and the groomsmen put on a special performance of "I Do," a marching snare drum ensemble co-written by Tony and myself. This performance and the piece itself are dedicated to Tony's wife, Courtney Valdez.
Video provided by David Thomas (videoonepro.com) and Esteban Valdez
No way i would see 2 of my old drum techs from high schoolschool (Tony and Ryan) love those dudes
Amazingly clean, intricate written and just.... badass! Loved it!! The most creative wedding gifts I have ever seen! XBridgemen snare
Snareline in suits is so hard
I want to know how he got his wife to let him do this

@@cameroncavenderthat’s so epic haha, you all from the same corps?
She's not the one if she objected? Some things are non-negotiable.😂
@@evanspadt2055 we're from several different corps, but all came together for the local WGI team
@@cameroncavender awesome! What a great a cool idea!
As world-weary old man and snare drummer, I went into this expecting it to be super gimmicky and dirty. I have nothing negative to say about it. That was great. Amazing composition, great performance, solid chops all around, and even the choreography was flawless. That was actually way too good… I was just thinking about how much time you guys must’ve put into rehearsal. In any case, you’ve dusted a layer of cynicism off of this old curmudgeon and put a big smile on my face. Congratulations on the wedding and a great accomplishment with this ensemble piece.
@@kjf729 thank you, your kind words mean a lot to us :) And we actually wrote and rehearsed the whole thing in a little over a month, which was pretty stressful!
Absolutely sensational! If you'd have said Paul Rennick wrote it, I'd have believed you!
Gotta say the tuning for that room was spot on!!!
That was excellent. What a gift to give! I honestly wasn't expecting such a clean and expressive performance - respectfully, I don't know you folks lol I haven't been in the Corps game since 2011. Hope Mr. and Mrs. Valdez live a long and happy life together! Cheers from Florida.
As a wedding DJ and a long time drum corps enthusiast I would totally be down for this at one of my weddings !!!!
ONE of your weddings?
Oh my God, I have so many many questions!
Where did you get the beautiful drums? What corp did you all march in together? How did this come about? How long did it take you to write the solo? The sound quality, the heights, the visuals, the musicality, the tuning for the room… Please tell me you invited PASIC judges and you’re going to be attending this year?!?! Absolutely unreal!!!!!
There’s a part of me that thinks the vast majority of people in that audience have no idea how fantastic performance that truly was. Like somebody went home and said… Oh, they had this really cool drum thing where they all played the same thing and it was really neat. Oh sweet dear Child… Father forgive them for they have no idea what they’re listening to. And then I stopped to think about it and something tells me that you don’t manage to get this kind of performance together for a wedding and have a lot of people in that audience not blissfully aware of the quality of performance and probably into Drumline at some level or another.
Any chance y’all can film a different video of it outside? would love to hear it also miked up nicely outdoors
WE GETTING MARRIED WITH THIS ONE 🔥🔊
dopest wedding performance i’ve ever seen. the clarity is absolutely unreal!!
❤ Love this this!! As part of a pipe and drum band , my wife and I were played in on our entrance.

@@Swerv17 ViP, Monarch, SCV, Boston, Phantom, Troopers
@@cameroncavender Awesome! I marched in DCA. I usually go to DCI East and check out the lot. I saw some clips of SCV and Boston. Going to be interesting to see who gets the Fred Sanford Award.
MR WILLIS
what’s that tuning?😍
The only way i can imagine a composition of mine being at my wedding is a melodic piano piece or like my friends make a quartet/quintet
Wait I recognize one of those faces! Doesn’t the man with his hair in a bun help teach VIP?
@@tobeyhayes7808 I would be the bun man, but we have all marched and taught ViP :)
@@cameroncavender huzzah!! Heck yeah! Well that’s just the coolest thing! (And pleasure to meet you!) Archambolt was a tech for us last year so we got to watch Y’all plenty at contests. Super sick to learn though, thank you!
