Watching their little granny makes me miss mine so much. She was from the old country too, and did everything in “batches” so it could be set aside and/or canned for another day. Our basement (I was raised by and lived with my grandparents throughout my youngster years) was FULL of dated and canned food. The walls were lined with shelving exactly the height of canning jar level.
For some reason, back in the 60’s, canners used pectin for a good canning jar seal. We no longer do that today…….
Anyway, my grandma, like this one in the videos, would pick from our garden special fruits and vegetables at peak season, prepare all the various dishes or “put away “ recipes, and during spring/summer I’d get to help her. During fall, I’d come home from school to jars and jars under towels, slowly cooling on kitchen counters, kitchen table, and sometimes even the dining room table!
No one does it better than our grannies……

Привет из Казахстана. Я всю жизнь делаю малиновый сироп. Но никогда не кипятила, в свежем виде, но в холодильнике храню. Даже прошлого года урожай, баночка стоит до сих пор. Это очень вкусно всё время и делаю так же из вишни, красной смородины.

Как понять, органической малины? Сколько собирала малину, никогда об этом не задумывалась что такая есть. Есть и другая?
Меня всегда ставило в тупик:органическая, не органическая. Хоть я и химик, до меня это не доходит. Что в лесу малина, что в саду - никакой разницы. Но если у них её чем то кормят непонятным. У нас в деревне малина росла как в лесу, её, кроме дождя, ничем не поливали, не подкармливают. Растёт себе и растет

@@user-io1fw5bj4w так и у нас так было. Я выросла да и живу рядом с небольшим лесом и постоянно там собирала малину. Последнее время не хожу, боюсь клещей. И как вы говорите, кроме дождя, ничем её не поливали. Получается что люди судят малину на своих участках и обрабатывают химикатами? Ну ,тогда я считаю что это глупо. И так хватает этой химии везде, а что бы ещё и малину обрабатывать... У меня нет слов.
