It always amazes me what insane things the origami community can make. I started origami at 7 and now I’m soon turning twelve. I hope I’ll be as good as you one day.
I'm also 12 and I'll be 13 very soon. I'm making these origami and I admire you for what you wrote. I am an Italian girl. I hope you will make your dream come true. Goodbye🎉❤😊

Had a great time making it! I had some a4 paper laying around, so I cut them into square pieces and used those instead of proper origami sheets. I'll tell you what, using normal sheets of paper is way more finicky than using origami paper! since they are way thicker and rougher than origami sheets, I had to constantly wrestle with the paper flaps to get them tucked inside the cubes, they just did NOT want to get on the sockets AT ALL. Luckily i managed to finish the piece properly with no further problems. Keep at it, Jo!
I've been watching jo's videos since a year now and i'm an architect student and these tutorials helped me so much for making my 3d models. Thank you very much JO for such efforts.❤❤😍😍❤❤
Man these repetitive models are the ones I struggle with the most as it takes so long to make all the parts and sometimes I just wonders off doing something else...... still decided to do this one tho👍
Going to try it today!! Will update soon :D Edit- tried doing it with A-4 sized paper cut into squares, didn't work well because it was thick. I think, opting for a thinner paper is better
I made the fireworks like 6 years ago, and I still have it. I came back to your channel and I want to make this. Hopefully it will turn out great as the last one that I made.
I've been watching it since you opened the channel and you make beautiful content we love you very much Kanalı açtığınızdan beri izliyorum ve güzel içerik yaptığınız için seni çok seviyoruz
Did I just make this a whole day : yes Did I regret it : no Anyway thank you sm for the tutorial, this quarantine make me crazy. This is really good to kill time 👏
Ok guys I just finished making a paper crane 2 minutes ago I worked on it for like and hour it took me 12 tries but I did it, and now i think I’m ready for this.
Pita Potato to connect the cubes. Back then I wasn’t that skilled to do it without them XD now I just occasionally need a credit card to shove the pieces of paper inside. But believe me: toothpicks are a great help while connecting the cubes
years ago i made the basic moving cubes with a lot of papers, i recently decided to make your new single sheet models and wow. i made the moving cubes out of 7.5x7.5 paper and the moving cubes 2 from 15x15 paper. i was really happy with them. the only thing that i found hard was making the grids. for some i made measured one section made a crease and continued on from there, and for others i folded over another paper. so some of the models were a little big and small.
A fundamental law of any tutorial video is that at least one person decides to only watch it once and get angry when it doesnt work and blame the video
I watched it 5 f*cking times, spent 5 f*cking hours building it and it still just doesn't work. There's supposed to be one gap to put the flap into but there isn't. Then why tf should I not be able to dislike that. I wasted half a day of my life for nothing.
Wonderful vid! The process is explained very clearly and the video is super calming. Managed to build one and I'm going to play around with it a lot XD Thank you very much! 💙
Gonna try this out! I haven't done origami since I was in primary school and now I got origami paper for christmas haha I already did 3 origami animals (also the wolf that you made on your channel) and I'm kind of curious if I could also do this moving cubes thing haha I'll see But I really enjoy your videos so far! I remember when you did your first moving cubes... so much paper was used, and now only 16 sheets of papers is used,im amazed keep up the good work.👍
Yeah ONLY 16
@@paula7773 that's not a lot for what it is. Some constructions take atleast 30 sheets if not 60 to make
16 took forever
It took five minutes to do 1 fold on all 16

Beauty of his designs is that he uses the basic folds and stick to the old rules (no glue, no marking, no cutting)
I caved and used glue during assembly...Thank you for the tutorial :)
Jo you are such a good origami creator, every project I see is unique on the world!

Wow, really good job. I love how the number of pages has been cut into thirds, but it's still quite sturdy.
All that crying and rage was worth it.. May God bless me for the rest of the steps..
Edit: Never mind it wasnt worth it..
The people who dislked weren't able to do it and they got angry.

it was the anger if not being able to fold it maybe..
Absolutely right

"Origami Moving Cubes 2 - using Sonobe units" I remember this video! those cubes were more hardcore
Hats off to your talent! You are really sharing great skills and fun that comes with origami.
This involves a great deal of hardwork. Helpful during quarantine days.
Not bragging but I’m really getting into this cube business
Somebody knows what kind of paper he's using? I tried with common paper sheets but i couldn't, it was really delicate
Fantastic visual effects on this tutorial, thank you for all of your hard work!!!!
Is the more squares like these you Can use to invent something diffrent/another design using all the squares :D
