One thing that's happened a couple of times is that I felt deeply put off when folx have lied to me in order to keep our friendship going or do what they THOUGHT would help me. They didn't understand why I was hurt by that, no matter how I tried to put it. They were just defensive about me needing more boundaries. But I don't think I was able to put it so eloquently. I would much rather do things with a friend that we're both into, or just accept that we don't have much in common and adjust accordingly. I want my closer relationships to be mutually fulfilling 💗
