I was just watching the VOD of Josh learning to play the Bystial Runick deck on MD and then I see this... What a nice surprise, unlucky missplay but happy for him for the win.
The ED in MD and TCG is just way different. Having access to SP and Legatia is huge for the deck, not to mention more good Runick names and Fountain at 2.
Josh's deck is just perfect for him Its a deck where when you are the better player you win and josh should be better than almost every one in the room Also he is a really good runick player and knows the deck very well I really like the choice
This is why I like varied formats. It enforces deck knowledge and deck mastery. T0 and 2-3 Deck Formats are nice and all, but I feel the mostly "solved" nature of these formats eliminates too much of the game in my opinion. 1-Tricking a deck and seeing success with it due to a deep understanding of that deck is by far what I think is peak Yugioh.
As Josh said before "this a hand traps format" So He played the one deck that does not lose to hand traps and has grind game at the same time It seemed like Pak was hand looping himself in game 3 What a Goat
@@Thud94Only Runick Stun. Other Runick variants are fantastic at eating through handtraps, as they can clear the EMZ, summon another Hugin and play as if nothing happened. It's what makes Runick variants so powerful. Runick Spright in particular was a monster for that reason. Handtraps became worthless in Runick Spright format
IRL yugi is so much different than MD... I bet Josh has summoned S:P off of the lvl2 fusion for days, and never thought about that, whereas in MD you are just not allowed to do that, and then you immediately realize why
Haven't watched the match yet but why not? Huggin has no restriction on how it can be used and S:P uses and 2 effects monsters. Oh there's anothwr lv2 fusion, I didn't even catch that the lv2 isn't an effect monster.
Yeah but josh isnt just MD champion he is still a 3 Time YCS champion and played 4 YCS finals and tops almost every event he plays its a missplay that can happen
One if his most recent clip is him losing a winning game against Purrley because he forgot about Linkage lock while playing Sky Strikers, he is a human too
22:44 Lord of the Heavenly Prison is a lv10 DARK Rock. Not a good target, but it exists. Edit: I've been reminded that Nib is an 11 and there are no targets after all
The commentators poo-poo on Allvain, but it's arguably one of the best Ready Fusion targets next to Theseus (which, lest we forget, was the most hyped card of 2019) for being a tuner. It's also summonable off Instant Fusion and the fact that it is dark gives it some format relevance, such as in this match. Good on Josh for bring it back to the forefront in such a unique way!
he played great but the interview afterwards was also amazing. Such a good sport and honorable player about the illegal play and not wanting to win off of that. Joshua’s a legend
more the cards than the sleeves. He plays with max rarity everything so lots of QSCRs and such but I believe they are TSX1 sleeves or something similar.

it says that it need's 2 effect monster's: to activate the on summon effect to banish a card it would need to be summoned by tributing 1 extra deck monster, in this video joshua used an effect and a no effect fusion monster - which doesnt fit the requirements for s:p
@@skrrr6936it just needs 2 effect monsters to be summoned if it doesn't activate effect there josh still wins cuz nib token is at like 4k so its only 2.4k dmg and he still draws ash and this deck ist pretty good at grinding me personally would say its the best deck to out grind your opponent
?@@nul3ark3ks30 all im saying is that s:p needs 2 effect monsters and to be able to activate the on summon effect at least one of them has to be an extra deck monster, you are answering every question but not the one bllackmage asked
It needs 2 effect monsters to be legally summoned. One can be an extra deck *effect* monster which it needs for its on summon effect to activate. The problem here is Josh’s fusion is a normal monster.
I actually main infernoble. Good to see the deck being used. This match is what i deal with regularly.. fallen albaz players need to learn there are 9000 cards to use. Stop copying everyone.
Pak shouldve made s:P where josh had 2 nibs. If he calls end of m1 josh will nib. Afterwards he makes link spider equips phoenix blade and specials turpin to go into second s:p and banish nib. Really solid with imp ash in hand
I have never seen such wholesome support for a yugioh player than Josh playing a deck he likes and everyone just pogging at him the whole YCS
You could buy a house with Paks deck 😂
Bro has so much bling you cant read and recognize the cards

Bro that moment was so cold josh is just plain and simple the goat of this game

Josh only plays toxic decks..
Infernoble is much more toxic than Runick Bystial
bro it's mid range grind deck, it doesn't stun your opponent, nor make unbreakable boards. it's least toxic deck type.
Only runick stun is toxic deck, the other variant is not tbh
Lol. Does it matter. He is there to win.
Also this decks isnt that crazy toxic. Just out the field spell or something like that
Calling a deck toxic because of what? Explain yourself!
