Love this. Something about how the old iPhone process the photos makes me feel nostalgic. And the way you edited the photos is just amazing too. Great work. This makes me want to take out my iPhone 4s!
It's really ironic that Apple started to talk more about using their phones for professional work with their later models, but they all provide very unnatural results with awkward colour science (portraits are just horrible when it comes to skin tones), also the AI photo editing dismisses the whole argument as you can't talk about real pictures anymore. Meanwhile, the 5S takes natural looking photos that I would rather want to see in a gallery or photo book.
actually the later models are what im going for.. on 15pro and 16 pro they allow closer to RAW pics and video...they allow devs or on their own app to have the disabled the oversharpening ,dynamic tone mapping, over noise reduction etc....on any smartphone it used to be very easy to spot vdieo taken on smartphone whenever the shot involves small patterns like foams on water forming or the small leaves on a tree... the processing would give it away... and ofcourse those normal modes are still there for casual users that want HDR videos, easy to use video no need to think about settings... i agree the 5s has less of t he computational photography flare, but its still there... just bought one last week btw
@@angeryanimal398 yes, but only on the later models that have ProRAW format. Well, that's on paper, because you can use for example Halide Camera and that lets you shoot in RAW, but that requires a subscription. Actually it's very cheap and it lets you shoot in RAW on the base models too. I used it for a while on an iPhone 11.
I agree newer phones have lost character while chasing the most dynamic range, the most sharpness. The images nowadays look too processed and too bright to the point where i can pick out iphone photos apart from others especially when it comes to sunset or sky images, the hdr is horrible. Now I use a OnePlus hasselblad and the photography is an absolute treat
Excellent video 👏 really enjoyed this!
I was rocking my 5s from release untill 2023. I even bought a second one during that time and swapped parts to keep it alive.
Damn, man. I saw your post on threads. The way you’ve presented it is simply top notch. Nice job mate, keep going 💪. Video is sick also
Thank you so much! Really appreciate the kind words!

ive never had an iphone, cant you shoot RAW to bypass all of these post processing?
