Gesine and her husband used to own a bakery/cafe in my town. He worked the front while she was in the back kitchen whipping up incredible eats. Her cakes are outstanding! There was a mixup once with a birthday cake order (it was lost) and it wasn’t ready for me at the arranged time. Gesine was so apologetic and said if you can give me a little time and come back, I’ll have it ready. When I came back to pick it up, she had made a HUGE version of the original order and it was decadently delicious. Hardworking, kind and never an heir of snobbery or haughtiness about her. I miss their bakery!
What I love about Kelly Clarkson is that she is real! She doesn't "act" excited or phoney or like she has to put on a show for people. She is genuinely happy, excited and sweet. It's like we are in her living room. God bless you Kelly!!
As for Gesine, is so talented. Her and her husband had a bakery now baking books, baking classes and lives in Vermont. Will you adopt me? Please?! Haha. Good for you Gesine. Love your books. You ARE living a great life. God bless you and your husband and your talents.
