cannot wait to see the ads so far i haven’t seen it yet ..maybe during the game 1 1/2 hrs to go #GoRed #GoChiefs🏈 #GoWrexham⚽️ hope both teams can do back2back2back
It will be amazing if we go up again!!!
I have seen the Beckham ad (comedy brilliance - my favourite) and Matthew McConaughey Uber Eats ad (very high production cost - looks like a movie - with many famous people) on YT - they are 60 and 90 seconds ads so do the math… and that is before production cost. Meg Ryan ad throwback was a brilliant idea from the product company. Usual USA alone audience is 100M but I think it will go higher this year with the potential 3-peat. Worldwide audience is 200M in 180+ countries. A HUGE exposure benefit for STOK and Wrexham AFC to be seen/known now by smaller market cities country wide. FYI: Tom, I did answer your Hopkins ad question. 😊
It is incredible to think Wrexham will be seen by so many people. We've really been propelled into the limelight by Ryan and Rob.
Was the Hopkins ad question here?
@@WrexhamAFCfanzone - Sorry. No. I answered it with yesterday’s vlog. I had a longer answer than the above but I added a YT link but it did not show up. My bad - I thought only YT links are acceptable on your channel but I was wrong obviously. 😊
It's fine! Btw, remember there is no match this weekend. We play on Tuesday against Bolton in the EFL Trophy at the Racecourse.
@ - All of Wrexham can relax and no longer hold their collective breaths of ever getting relegated to National League ever again. A short version answer to your Hopkins ad question. The reason why people you know never saw the Hopkins ad at SB 2024 is: STOK and parent company DANONE (which is a North America yogurt brand and dairy products) were smart to play it safe and “test the waters first” so to speak: Danone bought premium time slots in local air time ONLY of major city markets of L.A., NYC, Chicago, SF, and perhaps Miami. It is a 50-50 toss up if they are prudent again this year by doing the same but now adding local time slots of secondary tier cities the likes of Buffalo, San Diego, Philadelphia or St. Louis (where I studied before my home university) to expand the idea of drinking cold coffee while expanding distribution or go big right now and go national with the ad? The tricky thing is: Americans are big on ice tea and have been for many generations with an even longer history in the Deep South with the hot temps. Would an ad in that section of the USA work along with the huge expense of distribution? I am leaning towards Danone expanding the local markets. 😄
Well Sir Anthony Hopkins set the bar high for sure with his commercial. I think Channing Tatum managed to match, or just clear that bar! That is was a working trip to Wrexham makes me forgive his wardrobe choices when he was walking around town. Well the scarf was pretty good, but the rest of it looked like he raided a trash bin behind a thrift store. Where they toss the stuff they know they can't salvage, for re sale or donation.🤣 Not a fan of watching the superbowl, but looking forward to seeing the full commercial when it airs. 👍
I think the Anthony Hopkins one is my favourite by far. The sheer shock of seeing him then when he removed Wrex's head!!! I thought his clothes were weird and assumed it was his American fashion sense hahaha
The Stok ad has been mentioned on US morning talk shows the past few days - lots of great hype for the product and club. I think the ad is well done, great blend of humour and story telling.
Its great for stok and also for the club. Also a real good laugh and lots of fun for the fans too.
