You can't compare Katamari to other games well because it's not trying to be like other games. It's purely a game to goof off, and intentionally exaggerates it's own weirdness. It is not like first person shooters or open RPG. It is a wonderful joke game.

The game has no sensible plot, it involves so many non sequiturs it borders on mild dementia (probably due to poor translation but hey who doesnt enjoy language goofs), the king makes no sense whatsoever, the short animated sequences feature the driest humor, and yet I cant help laughing till I'm sore. Katamari is by far and away the tallest coolest glass of fun in the often bland world of rpgs and first person shooter games. Keep rollin!
Around the ending all the voices sound like they are crying and singing at the same time. This song is the longest Katamari song there is! and incredible 10:22! you have to have a large amount of Soul and Spirit to sing this long! Wonderful song, the one thing about Japanese music is that it never sounds the same. And that there are always male and female voices singing side by side together.
