How to Use Spellbinders Peony Background Press Plate

- I continue to share a look at the products in my new Let's Celebrate collection with Spellbinders. I'm sharing the How to Use Peony Background Press Plate. As always, I have several examples for you, I hope they inspire you to create with either these products or products you already have in your stash.
This is a reverse BetterPress plate that allows to add color to the background of your card.

I've had a lot of success using Concord and 9th's black ink with my betterpress plates and then coloring with alcohol markers.

Yana, what a gorgeous card! I don’t have the better press system and my budget does not allow that for me. So my question to you is - can I use this plate but run it through my spellbinder machine reinking it with say momento black ink, and Copic markers to colour in the florals?
Yes and no. Yes, because hypothetically you can. But no, because this is thicker than a regular die, so you'll need to figure out a different sandwich so that you don't break your machine. Do you have a hot foil machine?
@@Yana.Smakula no I don’t have a hit foiling machine. And it isn’t in my budget. I’ll be 80 years old next year maybe I can put I bug in my children’s ears! Thank you for your quick response I know he challenging life has been.
I have not been able to run this plate through my Platinum machine twice without it shifting, do you have any advice for me?
Can a 3D or regular dies be used in Platinum6 - or only Betterpress dies? TY
I use my platinum for all my die cutting, traditional embossing folders and 3d embossing folders. It also has a foiling platform but I do not have that.
What is a 3D die? Platinum machine is compatible with many products on the market. You can check the full compatibility list on the Spellbinders website
Can the better press go through a cuttlebug?
Hmm, I think not. Cuttlebug is just a few mm too narrow.
