I have owned the following iPhones over the years since 2010: iPhone 4 iPhone 5s iPhone 7 Plus iPhone XS Max iPhone 13 Pro Max, and now, the iPhone 16 Pro Max. I can confidently say that out of all the iPhones i've owned over the years, the XS Max is my favorite among them all. It was the device that got me interested in tech UA-cam videos and I just have really great memories from that time of my life with that phone. The first time seeing a large OLED display on an iPhone was magical and although the newer devices have better specs and features overall, I think the XS Max had one of the most beautiful designs in an iPhone. I miss the rounded edges.

you seem to be running a beta of ios 18 on that phone, that's probably why the performance is so visibly poor and partially why the battery drains so fast, it'd probably be a lot better if you were on an official build of ios
the xs normal is most beautiful phone, makes very natural colors photo, is nice to use with 1 hand, and quality feels so nice, prefer it over my 15 pro, is just better design
I still use my XS 256gb, even after trying the 13 mini for a week. It just does everything, and even faster than anything newer in some cases thanks to 3D touch (for example, super fast opening and closing tabs in safari by force pressing on the tabs button and sliding to the action wanted, + text selection on keyboard). Photos are great and natural (no oversharpening watercolor effect), the 2X lens is great for so many uses thanks to its ideal focal length. FaceID is seamless and I like that I can see my notifications immediately just with a glance. Superb haptics as always with iPhone. I love it mainly for its form factor, it is still the most comfortable phone ever made, with its rounded stainless steel frame and a very minimal and aesthetically nice camera bump. The 11 pro is even better in terms of usability, thanks to its battery life, but I like my 3d touch. But the battery is pretty terrible, max 4h screen time atp. So I have chargers everywhere, but the heat kills batteries meaning I have to change it like clockwork every year. Luckily I don't feel the slowness yet you mentioned, its perfectly fine. Durabilty is decent too, I dropped mine face first 1m into gravel and instead of cracking the screen I luckily only got a tiny tiny mark. But the back glass has been shot for years, it cracked after a 1.5m drop in the official leather case, but I covered it with a skin and that's enough for me, the official leather case is so nice I never want to remove it. I think a 15 Pro is in the cards once I need it, going over to USB-C + 120hz would be nice, although I know I would keep missing the form factor of the XS. I'm giving mine one last fresh battery soon and then I'll see how it goes. I have unlimited sideloading thanks to iOS 17.0 and trollstore, but I can go without it. The 13 mini was just a bit too small when the XS was so perfect and I hated the unnatural camera processing for the huge price I paid. Only thing is that I don't like the look of iOS18 CC and photos app and I don't know how much longer it will be possible to get an 15 Pro on 17., but that's minor.
3D Touch is something I should have touched on in the review. And corrections on current model iPhones is crazy. You can take a great photo and the final product is completely different. It was worse on 14 Pro max but still not great.

this delay It comes from Apple updates that slow down the phone believe me, Apple forces you to buy new phones from it it wasn't an iPhone xs when it comes out 5:02
Because Apple haven't innovated since the iPhone X really in terms of design. I get it, there's not a huge amount of things companies can do to still make the form factor exciting but it feels like every year we buy the same device we've always been getting but maybe with a new coat of paint.

Link to your 15 Pro Max wallpaper ? ❤
Where did you get the 15 pro max wallpaper? 😊
I finally met my double even I used the iPhone 15 Pro until i realized that it's not much of the phone that i expected it to be and I sold the 15 pro and purchased a MacBook M3 Air which has so much potential than the iphone and I purchased refurbished iphone XS 256GB just like you and trust me the only thing I miss is the camera other than that the speed, performance, screen all feels the same. I'd probably be switching to a 14 Pro on Fall next year just for the camera
i am moving from the 13 pro max to the 16 pro
I love it but wish it had USB C
where did you get those widgets?
Girl, the XS is one of the best old phones, but for someone that likes to take lots of photos, one would be better off with the 11 Pro Max. Have a 13 Pro Max & downgraded but I’ll be using it again next year & hopefully get a new iPhone later
Where did you got those widgets from?
What was the BH of the xs mad you tested
Cus it doesn’t drain that fast on my end
100%. It was a new battery.
what is the battery widget that you are using?
The camera is better on the XS Max too
better experience? i prefer 120fps in games not 60 for 3 minutes and after that 30-40😅
Xs Max is pushing it though, I don't think it even supports the latest iOS 18 that will be released in a few weeks.
I still have my 13 PM since November 2021, looks and works like new, I do agree with you in that regards that you don't need the latest and greatest.
I will probably be using my 13 PM for one more year and wait for the 17 series next year.
My first iPhone was the 11, bought it at release, switched on sunday to 15 pro max, which I will replace for the iPhone 20 at least xd
5:14 tf are you talking about xs has 256/512 gb models as well
What is the name of the widget than looks like Apple Vison Pro UI?
Just change the battery dude and problem solved. Iam using xs max with new battery.
Any iPhone from 5 and up will still work its just most of the apps will not be updated as the new iPhones I have a iphone 6s plus for my Lil girl and it works just fine
Sounds like a battery issue. Get it replaced and all your battery related issue will be gone. It is exactly what I did to mine with the same issues as yours has.
I have a XSPROMAX AND MY SCREEN IS PLAYING UP REALLY BAD DO YOU THING THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE SCREEN OR SOMETHING ELSE LIKE THE SOFTWAREE?
My xs max is slow to test your patience. I got the 512GB. Btw you forgot to mention your battery health
please provide this lake wallpaper
Could you drop a link for that wallpaper you got on your 15PM? Thanks!
yasss i see that supernatural by ariana grande last played
Sigrid Tunnel
Replace ur battery the battery on this phone is not bad there’s a difference between a old ass phone a brand new one
my XS ends the day with 80% battery. It sounds like your battery has some issues.
my iPhone 14 with 90% battery health dies before the day and I have a screen on time of 11 hrs so how do you manage your XS to last that long with 80% battery health
@@abyaniqbal689 Because I barely use it. He was talking about battery drain though, saying it drops 60 percent without touching it. My xs doesn't last the longest, but it works for me. I am sure your 14 has way better battery life. I would probably only get 5 hours or so of screen on time with my xs.
Live wallpaper app for ios 18
If it drains 60% without use then there's something wrong with the phone, not the norm.
Can test the iphone 12 pro max
we all know this is a freaking lie, it just content
this delay It comes from Apple updates that slow down the phone believe me, Apple forces you to buy new phones from it it wasn't an iPhone xs when it comes out 5:02
You can still use an iPhone XS Max today, yes. But buying it idk I don't think it's worth it.
XS doesnt come with 128GB storage, it’s 64, 256, & 512. If you chose 512, it should be enough
yall got the money to spend on different iphone 🥲
6:06 or C you need to be somebody that has 2 other phones 👍
Because Apple haven't innovated since the iPhone X really in terms of design. I get it, there's not a huge amount of things companies can do to still make the form factor exciting but it feels like every year we buy the same device we've always been getting but maybe with a new coat of paint.
