I recall when this music video came out, I recall how amazing it felt, how incredible it was to hear this song for the first time and singing along. I recall how amazing we felt about enjoying this music and just feeling great about being young adults. I just turned 57 and this music still makes me feel amazing, brings back great memories and makes me so nostalgic. This is truly timeless and ageless music.
I hope Roland knows how much he is loved over the world. I hope he rest and take care of his amazing voice and talent and come back when he is ready. Your fans will be here. We will wait for you Roland and Curt. Tears For Fears forever!!!
Thing about this song is they really seemed into the message. People tend to become complacent when they become rich and famous. Hard to feel the grass roots message anymore when life becomes like a fantasy.
Back in the 80s, we have no youtube, hardly can catch MTVs, so purely listen to cassette tape/vinyl. Only recent years post Covid lockdown, their songs resurrected and i have to say these TFF youtube clips are new to me but wowow!! What a treat for us who are born in the 70s. We were teenagers then when TFF debut😊
Sandra Andrews I remember Shout being played everywhere in 1985.Roland & Curt were two COOL and very talented young guys back then.I am still a fan of these guys to this day.
@@MegaCozzy Most of the songs from the albums before Seeds, and contributed to some songs on Seeds. He arranged this song as well. A very important part of their early success.
Born is 65, as a musician and a prominent rocker much of the 80's English pop simply grated on my nerves. That being said there were many that struck me and stuck for the duration, this song was one of them.
Roland lives near to me. I saw him and told him how great TFF are and Songs from the big chair is my favourite album of all time. He thanked me and I was glad I told him. Legends
So many great bands that came out in the 80s. These guys were so awesome and are right up there with some of the greatest bands in history. Glad I was able to live in one of the last great eras of music.
I know what you mean. It's like the song sounds better now, They are absolutely amazing. Every day I see a new performance on You Tube. Stunning. Roland was/is a true star. Rockstar!!!

Love to see the moves of Roland, something so spontaneous, simple and yet so amazingly unforgettable, refreshing and kind of powerful personality signature. Tears for fear 💞👌 for ever.
I videotaped this video just keep watching Roland’s solo on the mountain so sweet this video was a classic glad I was able to watch back then so many good memories growing up in the 80’s❤
YB Chamberlain omg. you saw that too!!!. Raw intensity, hunger, desire, he was hungry for the music. It's weird now to see how mellow he is now😁😁, but of course I know he's older and it's 33 years later of playing the same songs over and over and over again.😂😂.. I love to watch him nowadays when he wanders away from the mic and has to hurry back with a little jog so he doesn't miss his place on the song. It cracks me up and amazes me that he knows exactly where he needs to be, but of course he's been at it for 33 years now...love Roland, he's magical💛💛
They also helped usher in The Second Wave of The British Invasion that was primarily at its peak from 1982 to 1986. They also did American Bandstand and did a special performance of Head Over Heels when the show celebrated its 33 1/3 Anniversary
Ronald had so much energy and passion in his voice Curt was more relaxed but has power behind his voice, they compliment each other as a duo. What a masterpiece of a song
It's great to hear the younger generation like this song I was your age when this came out the album this song is on is one of the best ever I had the privilege of seeing them at York England racecourse 5 years ago and they played this live amazing
