Great conversation as always. After this episode and the last one, I'd love to here you guys do a deep dive on F1 vs F2, reticle, what works, what doesn't, what could be improved and what is coming in the industry.
My humble opinion is that I’d you’re doing my kind of long range, over 400 yards you want to dial up and hold wind which mean ffp all the way.
@@bobmcmillen4502 I agree but, I just don't like the FFP on low power. I want something I can see well on 3x for when I'm walking around in the thicker stuff. I don't like having to be on max power for 2nd focal plane either to do the holds. They need to cover their favorite ffp reticles. They mentioned one from Maven and that one looks pretty good.
@@Duckhunterbow I get that. To me that just turn into cross hairs at that point so you do want to select the one that works for both. But if you have a 2nd fp and you’re not on full power you can’t use the reticle for you wind hold. If your not shooting very far it doesn’t matter.
Maven rs1.2 2.5-15x44 FFP mil reticle scope is a really nice scope that is pretty new. Easily see the reticle on 2.5 power.
Correct me if I am wrong here, but, he should not need to dial even with a FFP mil reticle. If he has the solution in the RF, he could hold over by that amount depending on tick marks on the scope (e.g. NX8 has 0.2 mil ticks) and shoot. If you can hold over with a BDC, you should be able to hold over with a FFP mil reticle.
What bipod is that on the table?
