Margaret "I'm come over all cold!". Victor "You've come over all cold?...God almighty!".
When feeling down, these classics are sure to cheer me up!
Nobody does sarcasm better than Victor Meldrew and him asking if the cat kept warm rubbing two fish fingers together is sarcasm at its best!
Thought the same never gets old that 3mins of comedy golf
It’s abit parky in there at the best of times 🤣
Well it's not playing with a ball of wool 😂
Margaret - "How long do you think it had been in there?"
Victor - "I don't know, I'll check its sell-by date."
One of my all time fave one foot episodes "it's frozen solid woman" haha
The last five minutes of this episode, from the accidental shoplifting to Mrs. Warboys' hand grenade, is one of the funniest sequences I have ever seen.
I may have to break out the DVDs again :)
What’s is supposed to do to keep warm? Rub two fish fingers together to start a fire? 😂
I don’t know I’ll look for it’s sell by date 🤣
fish finger part finishes me off 😭🤣
The way they did this was brilliant.
My favourite man of all time great comedy writing in this sitcom
nobody does sarcasm like a brit.
There were sooo many complaints about this episode at the time.....some people obviously took it too seriously i thought it was ridiculously funny and genius 😂😂😂
Brilliant! I miss this show so much!
I think it’s safe to say he won’t be sniffing anymore...
I love his accent so much ❤ I remember watching this show as a little kid, I would sit on the floor and watch it when my parents had it on and I always used to tease my grandad and call him Victor 😂😂😂😂
Richard Wilson is Scottish, but he used a toned down general English accent to play Victor
In Croatia One foot in the grave has cult following.
Couldn't stop laughing at this
Just for once in his life, it’s Margaret that’s in trouble not Victor. 😉😂
If the BBC were to make programs like this again, I would seriously consider buying another TV licence because programs like this are sadly long gone and it is a massive shame.
Oh well, at least I saved myself £157 a year and I can still enjoy the best of the BBC on BritBox. 🙂
BBC is far too concerned with cultural Marxism these days. No chance that something like this would ever be made again.
This writing in this scene is amazing. 2 and 1⁄2 minutes in which there isn't just 1 or 2 funny lines.
Martin Goodman: you’re gonna help me move that sodding fox out the freezer!
The writers had brilliant imaginations for a decade to keep us laughing for 6 seasons and some Christmas specials. Who has a cat walk in your house, go in the freezer and die 🙀😹. My cat wouldn't do that and he obviously lives here! The thing that got me was that the writers didn't give any of the main couples children or they lost a child, obviously Victor and Margaret lost a spn called Stuart, but Pippa and Patrick lost a baby in early pregnancy, Mr Swainey never had any and it didn't seem like Mrs Warbouys did either.
Have you seen David Renwick's other show, Johnathan Creek?
I was 5 years old when this episode first aired, and I am amazed my mum and dad allowed me to watch it. Series 1 aired Thursday nights at 9.30pm, and so they taped it for me, for me to watch at the weekend as my bed time on school nights was 9pm sharp.
You've come over all cold? 😅 I asked the same thing as Wilson. My God, but this is sad tho. Poor kitty.
It's not a real cat. The BBC wouldn't have gotten away with it if it was.
What's it supposed to do , rub two fish fingers together to start a fire ?
Best line from all of the first series
This scene caused a slew of complaints to the BBC when it was originally broadcast!
this scene is so funny
This scene I laughed so hard but I shouldn't
I shouldn't have laughed but I couldn't help it
Lovely series
Oh my God I used to love this show lol the Americans have got nothing on our comedy. All they can do is try to remake our shows and fail!
Well to be fair they did make "The Golden Girls" and that is very funny
@@JollyOrangeEntertainment And the British remake 'Brighton Belles' was appallingly bad.
@@Djarra I'm Sorry but we have a lot better comedy such as this, The Royle family, Only fools and horses and lots of great Scottish ones such as Rab C Nesbitt, Still Game, two doors down when you compare all of them to american sitcom we win by a landslide.
@@jackwalker8424 Oh yes, it's just that while 'The Golden Girls' was great 'Brighton Belles' was appalling.
Plus in spite of being from London, I can understand Rab without subtitles ;P
Personally the best comedy of the last few years was 'Roger and Val have just got in' which is really underrated.
@@Djarra is Rab well known in London?
Poor cat😼😺😹
Why did it have to be a cat...? And yet I’m still laughing. 😆 oh dear me
I love Margaret's skirt.
Aiyoyo who go and anyhow put the cat in the freezer 😆😆😆
I'll check for its sell by date 😂
Brilliant
This series was off the wall and sometimes quite brutal and surreal, with a slight coating of middle class suburbia. That’s the way to do it.
I'm not seeing it on Britbox. Is it not out yet?
It will be released on February 26th. One Foot In The Grave Seasons 1-3
Meow 🐈🐱
Its like watching my mum and dad lpl
Snowflakes these days would be calling in to complain the cat was offended. love this! Can't beat British comedy! Much better than the US
Back when this episode was first aired in 1990 there were numerous complaints to Offcom . It happened also in 1992 in an episode where there was an old woman bashing people in a care home where Victor saves them. I think even then there were people who did not appreciate good humour
@@andrews6341 but not nearly as many as now
I am a cross between Victor and alf garnett.
I wonder how Victor would react to a covid vaccine lol
"Not another bloody lockdown
I don't believe it!"
I love cats 🐈 but this was funny never take a comedy seriously it's a joke
Brilliant. And this is not even one of the best episodes. I do not believe it!
Reminds me of that frozen cat meme 😂
Have they worked out cryogenics yet ?
what is the name of the show?
One Foot In The Grave
Is this on britbox??
Yes
Yes what🎉🎉
🤣😂
I've been tell a story about my Aunty Bettys cat for 20 years!!! 😂😂😂
What had Victor done to his head ?
mugged by yobs so he says
FFS how many adverts are on this clip.. impossible to watch. Useless.
adblock stops them
Fun fact: they actually froze a cat to death for this skit.
As a cat lover, stoopid storyline idea BBC.
Chloe - TsMsCt Videos it was funny
Tiggy... Me and you obviously have very different sense of humours 😛.
@@tsmsctbrandon5277 no, you just don't have one
Cats will go into all sorts of small places to hide.......
its not that funny i agree
1:04..😂😂😂😂😂
This scene got hundreds of complaints at the time 😂
Brilliant
