- I got these hog hut farrowing shelters to make my sows more comfortable during the cold weather and muddy seasons.

In extreme cold weather you could apply some polystyrene insulation for places like Michigan & Maine & North Dakota & Minnesota & Canada gotta get the wood outta the design for cold & wet places & it seems they done that wood rots faster than one can afford to replace it in extreme environments such as Cold & Wet
I have several of these models on my 🐖 farm. Works great. I 💚 how easily the osborne is to wash out with a garden hose. The air vents in the center allow easy air convection so my 🐖's get fresh air.
Hello, thanks for posting these videos. Have you noticed a difference in mortality rates of the piglets? Has the design helped preserve more piglets? I'm hoping to purchase these so the feedback would be great. Thank you
It looks fairly heavy-duty. How does it compare to your other farrowing shelters? Is there anything that your sows universally look for in a farrowing area, that this is likely to provide?
Yes it seems to be heavy built and my sows will definitely test it.
My other shelters are wood and hard to clean out. These have openings that should make it real easy to keep clean

Try separating them for a week or so then put them back together. That helps sometimes. Do you see them breed?

Boars don't want to breed each other.
